Chapter 982 The Baby is So Naughty, Kicking Me Every Day

Seb grabbed Susan's shoulders, hesitated a bit, and finally said, "You got it. I can't spill Leon's secrets. Sorry about that."

Susan looked down, smiled, then glanced up and said, "You're doing the right thing. You're a good friend. I just hope Isabella doesn't get hurt."

Seb grinned and replied, "Don't worry, Isabella means the world to Leon. He'd rather get hurt himself than let anything happen to her."

"I believe that. Isabella looks so happy now. After everything they've been through, they're finally together. It's a relief. You know she's like family to me. If she wasn't happy, I wouldn't know what to do," Susan nodded.

Seb gave Susan a warm smile, then took her hand as they walked along the riverbank.

"The moon's gorgeous tonight, and it's so peaceful. If only we could do this every night, but you're always so busy," Susan said with a hint of regret.

Seb suddenly stopped and said, "It's not that hard for me to walk with you every night."

"What do you mean?" Susan asked, sensing he had more to say.

Seb took her hand and asked, "Ever thought about giving Hayden and Spring a little sibling?"

Susan turned away, smiling. "Not really."

But Seb, being cheeky, said, "Well, I have. What should I do?"

"Go find someone else to have a baby with," Susan teased.

Seb frowned. "That's kinda tough right now."

"What do you mean?" Susan asked, seeing his playful expression.

"You're the only woman around me. So, it's gotta be you," Seb said with a straight face.

Susan laughed and playfully hit his arm. "Stop it!"

"With you as the CEO's secretary, no woman can get near me," Seb laughed along.

"Are you saying I'm too strict?" Susan asked, pretending to be stern.

"No way! Keep it up. I'm glad no woman comes within 30 feet of my office," Seb said, trying to flatter her.

"You make me sound so fierce," Susan complained, but she looked pleased.

Seb suddenly pulled Susan into his arms, holding her waist, and whispered, "Let's have another baby."

Susan blushed. "I don't want another baby right now."

"Just one more, please?" Seb coaxed.

"Aren't Hayden and Spring enough? Why do you want another baby so badly?" Susan asked, looking into Seb's eyes.

"The more, the merrier," Seb said, kissing her cheek.

Susan suddenly said, "I know why you want another baby."

"Why?" Seb asked, frowning.

"Because you think I'm too strict with you now. You don't even get to see a pretty face every day. If I get pregnant and have to stay home, you'll have a chance to flirt with other women," Susan said, smirking.

Seb looked up at the night sky and sighed. "Alright, I promise, if you get pregnant, I'll stay home with you, deal?"

"Don't try to fool me. Can a workaholic like you really stay away from the office?" Susan said, not buying it.

"I can work from home. You can keep an eye on me," Seb quickly promised.

Susan sighed, "Okay, I'll think about it."

Seb took her hand and started walking back. "Let's head home."

"Why so early?" Susan asked, a bit surprised.

Seb turned back with a mischievous grin. "Let's hurry home and make love!"

Susan blushed and tried to pull her hand away. "I'm not going. I still want to walk a bit more."

"If we delay giving Hayden and Spring a little sibling, they won't be happy," Seb said, pulling her towards the car.

Sensing his eagerness, Susan felt helpless.

After getting Susan into the car, Seb told the driver, "Take us home!"

The car quickly hit the road. Late at night, the traffic was light, so they moved fast.

The streetlights outside made the car's interior flicker with light and shadow. Seb leaned in and kissed Susan passionately.

When Susan was almost out of breath, Seb finally let her go.

Gasping for air, Susan pushed Seb's chest and said, "Stop it, the driver will laugh at us."

"I just can't wait," Seb said with a grin.

Susan smiled, which was a silent agreement.

Meanwhile, Leon helped Isabella sit by the bed and gently asked, "Are you exhausted today?"

"Not really, just feeling the baby is a bit restless," Isabella said, looking down at her belly with a smile.

"Really?" Leon frowned slightly, then squatted by the bed, pressing his ear to Isabella's belly, listening intently.

"What did you hear?" Isabella asked, stroking Leon's hair, her face full of happiness.

"It seems like the baby is moving," Leon said, changing positions to listen again.

"I feel the baby is very naughty, kicking me every day," Isabella said.

Leon looked up at Isabella and said, "It must be a naughty kid."

"Like you?" Isabella said, smiling at Leon.

Leon retorted, "I was very well-behaved as a child, not naughty at all."

"Then is it a genetic mutation?" Isabella laughed.

"Maybe you were naughtier as a child. Seeing how wild you are now, it's obvious," Leon teased.

"What do you mean?" Isabella playfully hit Leon.

Then, Isabella's eyes caught sight of a black velvet box on the bed. She reached out and picked it up.

Opening the box, Isabella looked at the dazzling ruby jewelry inside and frowned. "By the way, who sent this jewelry?"
