Chapter 625 Fainting
Facing Susan's request, Seb turned around and sat back down, then resolutely said, "The weather's heating up, and it's much more pleasant abroad for the kids. The air is cleaner, too. They'll be staying there for the summer."
Upon hearing this, Susan panicked. "No way!"
Seb picked up his knife and fork and said while eating, "I am the children's guardian. Even if you have objections, it won't matter."
"You..." Susan's blood boiled, but she couldn't do anything about it and was at a loss for what to do.
"Please leave and don't disturb my dinner with Ms. Davis." Seb looked up at Esme across the table, a smile playing on his lips.
Seeing Seb's cold attitude towards Susan, Esme sneered, "Miss, you'd better be sensible. You're not welcome here. Please leave immediately, or I'll call security!"
Susan didn't even glance at Esme. In her anger, she grabbed a glass of red wine in front of Seb and splashed it directly on his face!
"Ah." Seeing Seb's face covered in red wine, Esme gasped and covered her mouth with her hands.
The red liquid flowed down Seb's face, staining his white shirt a mess.
Seeing this, Susan was a bit stunned. She had splashed the wine on him in a moment of impulse, but seeing his face covered in red wine, her hand holding the glass trembled.
Seb hesitated for a moment, then reached for a couple of napkins to wipe his face.
At that moment, time seemed to stand still. Susan and Esme stared at Seb's actions in shock.
The next moment, Seb threw the crumpled napkins on the table and suddenly stood up.
Seeing this, Susan took two steps back in panic.
She saw the anger in Seb's eyes.
She knew she'd pushed too far. It was time to leave.
The next moment, Susan turned to leave.
Seb strode forward and grabbed Susan's arm.
Susan's hand loosened, and the glass fell to the floor!
The next moment, Seb's roar echoed in the revolving restaurant. "Susan, are you testing my limits? Do you think I can't do anything to you? So you keep pushing your luck?"
"You're the one who won't let go!" she shot back, her own anger flaring. "We're over! What I do, who I see, it's none of your business!"
Susan's words made Seb grip her arm harder.
Susan's arm hurt, but she didn't compromise or beg for mercy. "Clear George's name and bring my children back. Then, and only then, will I stay away from you. No more tests, no more pushing."
"Dream on!" Seb squeezed out the words through gritted teeth, glaring at Susan.
Afraid of hurting her, he was actually holding back, but Susan kept challenging his limits.
His roar filled the restaurant, and the diners all stared at them, not knowing what was happening.
At this moment, Susan felt a ringing in her ears and dizziness in her head.
The ectopic pregnancy had already taken a toll on Susan's body, and she had been running around all day, feeling exhausted. Now, his shouting and her own anger made her feel even worse.
Susan's eyelids felt heavy, and her body began to sway!
Seeing Susan's body swaying, Seb's grip immediately loosened, and his eyes turned from anger to concern.
"What's wrong?" Seb asked, seeing that Susan was not well, and released his grip.
The next moment, Susan swayed and fell into Seb's arms.
"Ah." Susan gasped, feeling light-headed, and then she knew nothing more.
"Susan? Susan?" Seeing Susan faint in his arms, Seb frowned and called her name twice, then bent down and picked her up, striding towards the exit.
"Mr. Anderson?" Seeing Seb carrying Susan out, Esme quickly grabbed her handbag and followed.
Rushing out of the restaurant, Seb, holding Susan, shouted at Leon, who was waiting, "Get the elevator!"
Leon saw Susan in Seb's arms and was stunned for a moment, then quickly turned to press the elevator button.
During the few seconds of waiting for the elevator, the veins on Seb's forehead bulged, and his deep eyes were fixed on Susan in his arms, his face extremely grim.
Seeing this, Leon couldn't help but ask, "Why did Ms. Wilson faint?"
At this moment, the elevator arrived. Seb glanced at Leon, having no mood or time to answer, and stepped into the elevator.
Leon and Esme quickly followed into the elevator, not daring to say a word.
Ten minutes later, Leon drove the car into the emergency department of the nearest hospital.
Susan lay on the emergency bed, and several doctors in white coats busily examined her. Seb stood by with a grim face, his eyes fixed on Susan, looking extremely tense.
At this moment, Leon and Esme waited outside the emergency room.
Esme glanced inside, seeing Seb's still grim face but seemingly very concerned about Susan lying on the bed.
She then walked up to Leon and tentatively asked, "Mr. Johnson, what is the relationship between the woman who fainted and Mr. Anderson? Doesn't Mr. Anderson hate her? Why is he so nervous when she faints?"
"She is the mother of Mr. Anderson's son and daughter," Leon replied expressionlessly.
Hearing this, Esme's mouth dropped open. "What? That woman inside is Mrs. Anderson?"
"Yes." Leon nodded at Esme.
Upon confirmation, Esme immediately frowned. After thinking for a moment, she anxiously said, "Since she is Mrs. Anderson, why does Mr. Anderson hate her and ignore her? And why is he so enthusiastic about me in front of her?"
Seeing Esme's confused expression, Leon couldn't help but laugh. "Ms. Davis, haven't you seen a man consumed by jealousy, even over his own wife?"
"Jealous?" Esme asked, puzzled.
