Chapter 1355 Mommy, Don't Cry
Susan reached out and flicked on the wall lamp.
The sudden brightness jolted Seb awake, banishing any trace of sleep.
Seeing Susan's anxious expression, Seb couldn't help but grin. "So we didn't use protection, big deal. If we end up having another baby, we'll just roll with it. I've been wanting another kid anyway!"
Susan's eyes widened in panic. "No way! If I have another baby, my whole life will be about having babies!"
With that, Susan jumped out of bed.
"Hey, having kids is a kind of career too, and it's a great one at that. You're doing an amazing job for the Anderson family, you're practically a hero!" Seb chuckled.
"Stop it! I'm not buying it." Susan retorted, then proceeded to do a handstand against the wall.
Seb got out of bed, slipped on his shoes, and walked over to Susan, squatting down to look at her. "What are you doing now?"
"Preventing pregnancy," Susan replied.
Seb stared at her for a moment before asking, "Does that even work?"
"Let's hope so. The book says it does," Susan answered.
Seb reached out and touched Susan's waist.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Susan shrieked.
Seb tickled her waist, making Susan laugh uncontrollably. "Stop touching me!"
"Okay, I won't touch you," Seb said, but he started making funny faces at her.
Susan couldn't stop laughing and soon collapsed onto the floor.
Seeing her on the ground, Seb picked her up and laughed, "Alright, let's leave it to fate this time. Let God decide if we have a fourth child, okay?"
"No way!" Susan shook her head vigorously.
Seb gazed at her, then tossed her onto the soft bed.
Seb shrugged off his robe and threw it behind him.
"What are you doing?" Susan tried to get up.
Seb pounced on her, pinning her to the bed.
With a mischievous look, Seb said, "I really want a fourth child, so let's put in some overtime tonight."
Susan's eyes widened in shock, pushing against Seb's chest. "No, I don't want to!"
"Well, it's not up to you. Let's see if your body cooperates," Seb smiled and thrust her.
Susan's resistance was futile, and she had no choice but to go along with it.
Three days later, Isabella lingered outside her and Leon's house for a long time. Only when she saw Leon's car leave the driveway did she feel relieved enough to enter.
For the past three days, Isabella hadn't been able to sleep or eat well, constantly thinking about her two babies.
But she couldn't bring herself to return, especially after the harsh words exchanged during their last fight.
Leon hadn't called her once in those three days, leaving her to fend for herself, which made Isabella even angrier.
As soon as she stepped into the foyer, the maid saw her and smiled, "Mrs. Johnson, you're back?"
"Yeah," Isabella replied, feeling a bit self-conscious as she touched her short hair.
"The babies have missed you so much," the maid said warmly.
Hearing this, Isabella couldn't wait any longer. She didn't even bother changing her shoes and rushed into the living room.
In the living room, she saw her older son playing with toys on the couch, while her younger son was playing on the floor.
Seeing her babies, Isabella couldn't help but scoop up her younger son and then pull her older son into a hug.
"Mommy, you're back?" Her older son exclaimed in surprise.
Her younger son, still learning to talk, kept calling out, "Mommy, Mommy."
"My darlings, are you okay? Mommy missed you so much!" Isabella hugged her sons, tears streaming down her face.
Her sons hugged her back, their little hands touching her face. Her older son, sensing her sadness, held her hand and said in a sweet, childlike voice, "Mommy, don't cry, don't cry!"
Feeling her son's warm little hand, Isabella's heart ached even more. Holding her sons, she felt like she was embracing the whole world.
"Daddy!" Her older son suddenly called out.
Isabella turned around quickly and saw Leon standing behind the couch.
"You left in the car, right?" Isabella asked, surprised.
She had waited outside for ages, hoping Leon would leave so she could come in.
"My car left, but I wasn't in it," Leon replied, his face expressionless.
"Leon, are you messing with me?" Isabella snapped.
Leon had sent an empty car out just to lure her back.
Leon smirked but said nothing. He walked over to the couch, picked up their older son, and handed him to the nanny. "Take him to the nursery."
"Get it, Mr. Johnson," the nanny said, taking the child.
Isabella grabbed her son's hand. "No, I want to spend more time with him."
"I want Mommy!" Her son clung to her hand.
Leon took the boy and handed him to the nanny, his face stern. "If you cared about the kids, you wouldn't have left for days. Now you remember them? Are you a responsible mother?"
The nanny carried the boy to the nursery.
Though in the nanny's arms, the boy kept his eyes on Isabella, his little hands reaching out, calling, "Mommy, Mommy!"
"Sweetheart!" Isabella's heart broke. She wanted to chase after him, but her younger son clung to her neck, calling, "Mommy, Mommy."
Leon stepped forward, took the younger son, and handed him to another nanny. "These nannies are taking good care of the kids. You can keep running wild outside."
Leon's harsh words infuriated Isabella.
