Chapter 696 Teeth Knocked Out
"I just can't help it. There's definitely something fishy about Rylee's death. Her lawyer told me that the day before the accident, Rylee called him and asked him to prepare documents to transfer her shares to me for free. And then Rylee had an accident at that exact time. Andrew is up to no good; this definitely has something to do with him! It's all my fault. I shouldn't have let Rylee reconcile with him, and now it cost Rylee her life!" Seb slammed his fist on the table.
A muffled thud echoed in the air, and one corner of the table collapsed.
Seeing the bruise forming on Seb's hand, Leon frowned and said, "Mr. Anderson, hurting yourself won't help. I know you're upset and feel guilty, but even if you had opposed it back then, Ms. Anderson might not have listened to you. She was too deeply in love with Andrew!"
"What have you found out?" Seb stared at Leon and asked.
Leon frowned and replied, "There were no flaws found at the scene or in the car, but I heard from Laura that a few days ago, Andrew and Ms. Anderson had some arguments. Ms. Anderson forced Andrew to write a resignation letter and wanted him to move to Averlake with her. Andrew reluctantly agreed."
Hearing this, Seb hesitated for a moment and said, "I'm going to find him!"
With that, he turned and walked out.
Seeing this, Leon quickly stepped forward to stop him. "Mr. Anderson, we don't have any evidence right now. Confronting Andrew won't get you anywhere!"
"Rylee loved him so much; I don't believe he doesn't feel any guilt!" Seb didn't listen to Leon at all; he was already on the verge of madness.
Seb drove all the way to the villa where Andrew and Rylee lived. After getting out of the car, he stormed straight into the villa!
Laura hurriedly opened the door that was being knocked loudly. Seeing it was Seb, she exclaimed, "Mr. Anderson, what brings you here?"
"Where's Andrew?" Seb shouted as he walked in.
"In the study," Laura said, quickly following him.
Seb walked straight to the study door and kicked it open!
Andrew, who was sitting at the desk making a phone call, quickly hung up when he saw Seb burst in.
The next moment, Seb grabbed Andrew by the collar and demanded, "Andrew, did you arrange the car accident?"
Hearing this, Andrew was stunned for a moment, then sneered, "Seb, you need evidence to make such accusations. Evidence, do you understand?"
"Evidence? You've had ulterior motives all along and have been deceiving Rylee. You were afraid that her shares would be transferred to me, so you orchestrated the car accident to kill her. Do you have any conscience at all? If it weren't for Rylee, would you be where you are today? She treated you so well, and you? You were heartless enough to take her life. Are you even human?" Seb's grip was so strong that he almost tore Andrew's collar.
However, Andrew showed no guilt at all. Instead, he wore a cynical expression and laughed, saying, "Seb, don't mistake my silence for fear. Do you see these cameras? If you dare to hit me, I'll sue you in court tomorrow! You're a prominent figure in Maple Valley; you'll be on the front page of the newspapers again! Whatever Rylee did for me is between us as a married couple. Even if you're Rylee's brother, you're not closer to her than I am. Let me tell you, everything Rylee left behind is to be inherited by me, her legal husband. You have no part in it. Rylee lived for me, and there's nothing you can do about it!"
"You're asking for it!" Seb spat out through gritted teeth and punched Andrew in the face.
Seb's punch was full of force, and Andrew fell onto the desk.
"Go ahead and sue me. I'm not afraid!" Seb shouted at Andrew, then turned and walked away.
Andrew got up from the desk, blood dripping from his mouth, and a tooth had fallen out. He frowned as he looked at the blood-stained tooth in his palm.
A few days later, Susan sat at her desk, reading a newspaper. The more she read, the more worried she became about Seb.
At that moment, Isabella walked in, also holding a newspaper.
"Susan, have you seen the news? Seb knocked out one of Andrew's teeth, and now Andrew is suing Seb. They're saying Seb went to fight over Rylee's inheritance. All the newspapers are talking about it, and many are condemning Seb, saying he attacked Andrew for Rylee's shares and vast fortune, even though Rylee had just died!"
Susan had seen the same report in the newspaper earlier, which made her restless. Hearing Isabella's words, Susan became even more anxious.
