Chapter 914 Head-to-Head
At that moment, Isabella suddenly realized Leon's hand was still on her chest.
This made her furious, her cheeks burning with anger.
She quickly shoved his hand away. "Leon, do you think I'm some kind of loose woman?"
Leon was taken aback.
His hand was pushed away, and he looked confused, stammering, "No, of course not."
"Then what the hell was that?" Isabella yelled, then said seriously, "Leon, I'm warning you, don't test me again. I won't make the same mistake twice. We shouldn't see each other anymore!"
She reached for the car door.
Seeing this, Leon quickly hit the lock button.
Isabella found the door locked and got even angrier. "Leon, what are you trying to do?"
Leon frowned and said sincerely, "I don't want to do anything. I just want to take you to work and buy you breakfast."
Isabella got even more frustrated.
She couldn't help but think, 'What does he want? If he's not interested in me, why is he bothering me?'
She stared at Leon suspiciously, a bad thought crossing her mind.
"Leon, are you just looking for a girl to mess around with because you're bored?" Isabella asked.
"What do you mean by that?" Leon's expression changed.
Isabella sneered. "If you're looking for a girl to play with, you've got the wrong person. I'm thirty, not some naive twenty-year-old. We can't give each other what we want. So, find someone else!"
Leon clenched his fists and said through gritted teeth, "I'm not as bored as you think, nor do I have the time!"
"Good. Now unlock the door. I want to get out!" Isabella turned away, not looking at him.
Instead of unlocking the door, Leon started the engine and drove back onto the road.
Seeing the car moving again, Isabella shouted, "Did you hear me? Unlock the door!"
Leon kept his eyes on the road and said coldly, "I said I'd take you to work. Sit tight. I don't want to take advantage of you anymore!"
"Leon!" Isabella shouted and threw the lunchbox at him.
But Leon didn't care. He placed the lunchbox back on her lap and commanded, "Finish this breakfast, or I won't let you out of the car!"
"Who do you think you are? I'm not your subordinate!" Isabella shot back.
Leon's face turned stern, and he pressed the gas pedal harder, making the car speed up.
It was rush hour, and the road was packed. Leon swerved left and right, while Isabella clung to the handle in front of her, seeing several near-collisions with the cars ahead. She said nervously, "Leon, are you crazy? Slow down, we're about to crash!"
At that moment, Leon suddenly floored the gas pedal.
The car screeched to a halt just a few feet from the one in front.
Isabella, who hadn't eaten breakfast, felt nauseous from the sudden stop-and-go.
Noticing her discomfort and the traffic ahead, Leon eased off the gas.
As the car slowed down, Isabella's nausea subsided a bit.
"Leon, are you out of your mind? Stop the car now, I want out!" Isabella yelled, pounding on the dashboard.
Leon's face was dark, but he kept his lips sealed, saying nothing.
After a while, Isabella's throat got dry from all the shouting, but Leon just kept driving in silence.
Finally, with her voice almost gone, Isabella had no choice but to stop yelling.
Leon reached out and handed her a bottle of soda water from somewhere.
Isabella frowned at the bottle.
"Your throat must feel dry from all that yelling. Drink some water," Leon said softly.
Isabella's anger started to fade.
She didn't want to drink his water, but she hadn't had a sip since leaving the house, and her throat was really sore.
Reluctantly, she grabbed the bottle, unscrewed the cap, and took a drink.
Seeing her drink, Leon's expression softened, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
Just as she finished, Leon's commanding voice came again. "Now eat your breakfast."
Isabella rolled her eyes, thinking, 'Why should I listen to you?' That tone made her mad.
Leon glanced at her, knowing she was sulking.
He smirked and said, "If you don't finish your breakfast, I won't let you out of the car."
Isabella got angry again.
Seeing her about to lose it, Leon quickly added, "I don't have any work today, so I can take you for a drive."
"I have to go to work. I'm not as free as you!" Isabella snapped.
Leon glanced at her and said, "Finish your breakfast, we'll be at the office soon."
Isabella knew Leon was stubborn and meant what he said. She had two clients to meet this morning, and missing those appointments would be a disaster.
Reluctantly, though she was still fuming, she had to give in.
Finally, she angrily opened the lunchbox and started eating the burger in big bites.
Seeing her eat, even with a bad attitude, Leon couldn't help but smile.
After a while, Leon parked the car in front of the office building.
Seeing they had arrived, Isabella saw that half the burger was still left and quickly ate it in big bites.
Leon smiled and said, "Slow down, you'll choke."
Before he could finish, Isabella choked and looked uncomfortable.
Seeing this, Leon quickly patted her back and handed her the soda water again.
