Chapter 1076 Flirting

From the initial tension, tossing and turning unable to sleep, to the deep night, Cecilia finally fell asleep.

The next morning, as soon as Cecilia opened her eyes, she realized it was almost seven o'clock.

She quickly sat up, feeling a bit strange. He hadn't made any moves last night, which was odd. She thought she wouldn't be able to avoid him.

Then, Cecilia hurriedly got dressed, washed up, and went downstairs to make breakfast.

At eight o'clock sharp, Cecilia placed breakfast on the dining table.

By this time, Daryl had also appeared in the dining room.

"Breakfast is ready," Cecilia said, grabbing a freshly made sandwich and putting it into a lunchbox.

Seeing that she was about to leave, Daryl frowned and asked, "Where are you going?"

"I'm running late. I'll take it to school and eat there," Cecilia said, picking up her backpack.

"Sit down and eat properly. I'll drive you to school," Daryl said.

Cecilia was taken aback without expecting him to say that. No matter what happened before, he would never say more than a word to her.

The next moment, Cecilia politely declined. "No need, I'll eat at school."

With that, Cecilia left with her backpack.

Daryl was left frowning at the food on the table.

Cecilia squeezed onto the bus with her backpack and took out the sandwich from the lunchbox to eat.

Actually, she still had time. She had deliberately taken her breakfast to go because she really didn't want to eat at the same table as Daryl.

Cecilia didn't know how to interact with him now. Since Daryl came back, he seemed different.

He wasn't as cold as before, spoke gently, and even looked at her with a caring gaze, which made Cecilia very uneasy. So she tried to avoid him as much as possible because she couldn't resist his affectionate eyes.

Cecilia was very clear about her feelings for Daryl and their current relationship. They were just in an employment relationship. She couldn't afford to get emotionally involved with him again, or it would end in disaster for both of them.

In the evening, Cecilia received a call from Douglas.

"Ms. Thorne, Mr. Fields won't be coming back to the villa for dinner anymore. He will have breakfast at the villa every morning, so you only need to prepare breakfast. Also, you don't need to change his bed sheets every day anymore; once a week will do," Douglas said.

Hearing this, Cecilia responded, and Douglas hung up.

Looking at the flashing phone screen, Cecilia found Douglas' words particularly strange.

It was fine to prepare breakfast every day, but why had the habit of changing bed sheets daily been abolished?

However, Cecilia was quite happy about it. At least she wouldn't be exhausted anymore.

With heavy coursework, buying fresh ingredients after school, cooking a meal with four dishes and a soup, and doing all the housework after dinner, she was really struggling to keep up.

That night, Cecilia made a simple meal, cleaned the villa, and then took a bath and went to bed.

At ten o'clock, Cecilia suddenly heard footsteps outside, making her tense up.

Holding "One Hundred Years of Solitude" in her hands, she listened carefully to see if the footsteps were coming towards her bedroom.

After a while, Cecilia seemed to hear the door next door open, and then there was no more sound.

It wasn't until midnight that Cecilia finally breathed a sigh of relief.

She had dodged him again tonight.

The next morning, Cecilia tried to do the same trick, preparing breakfast and placing it on the dining table, then planning to take a sandwich in a lunchbox to eat on the way.

But this time, an arm reached over and took the lunchbox away.

Cecilia looked up and met Daryl's handsome face.

Daryl sat at the dining table, leisurely took a sip of milk, and said to Cecilia, "Sit down and eat. If I need anything, you can get it for me."

"But I'm going to be late." Cecilia frowned.

Daryl, still eating, said, "You can ride with me. You won't be late."

Daryl's tone was not a suggestion but a command. Cecilia knew it was useless to argue, so she sat down and ate.

Sitting across from him, Cecilia felt very uncomfortable.

So, during the meal, Cecilia kept her head down while eating.

But breakfast was short, and soon Cecilia was full. She stood up, put on her coat, and grabbed her backpack.

Daryl, however, slowly finished his last bite and wiped his mouth with a napkin as usual.

Cecilia was really anxious. To avoid him, she had deliberately gone downstairs 15 minutes late to make breakfast, but he had stopped her from leaving.

"Can we go now?" Seeing Daryl finish wiping his mouth, Cecilia asked.

Hearing this, Daryl looked up, glanced at Cecilia, and asked, "Why don't you wear the clothes I had the department store send over?"

Cecilia stared at Daryl in surprise, feeling speechless that he was asking about this at this time.

Then, Cecilia randomly replied, "Those clothes don't suit me."

Hearing this, Daryl suddenly stood up and approached Cecilia.

Sensing him approach, Cecilia quickly took two steps back.

Probably too nervous, Cecilia twisted her ankle and fell backward.

Cecilia cried out, feeling she was really going to fall this time.

At this moment, Daryl took a step forward and wrapped his arm around Cecilia's waist.

In such a situation, Cecilia's instinct was to protect herself from falling, so she instinctively leaned into Daryl.

The next moment, Cecilia was in Daryl's arms.

Cecilia, still in shock, realized she hadn't fallen and felt relieved.

Looking up, she met Daryl's focused gaze.

His eyes were burning, making Cecilia's skin feel hot.

At this moment, Cecilia realized their position was very intimate. She could smell his scent, and her body felt electrified, making her tingle all over.

For some reason, Cecilia suddenly remembered the night they had sex.

The next moment, Cecilia's face turned blush.

Then, Cecilia tried to break free from his embrace.

But Daryl's arm was like a vine, tightly holding her waist, making it impossible for her to escape.

At this moment, Daryl suddenly lowered his head, bringing his mouth close to her face. "It's okay, I can have the department store send over some clothes that suit you."
