Chapter 1241 The Diamond Ring
The sun was shining brightly outside, the palm trees swayed in the wind, and seagulls flew over the sea, everything was so beautiful.
Cecilia turned over, her sleepy eyes opened, and she suddenly realized that the sun was already high in the sky. She couldn't help but turn her head and see that the pillow beside her was empty. Looking around the room, she found that she was the only one there, and Daryl was nowhere to be found.
Last night, he was very passionate. Looking at the messy sheets and the clothes scattered on the floor, her face still felt hot when she thought about it.
Cecilia sat up, feeling weak all over, her legs powerless. His stamina was too good, she really couldn't keep up.
After getting dressed, she searched the entire villa but couldn't find any trace of Daryl.
After walking out of the villa, Cecilia asked the security guard, but the guard was a Sylvanor and only spoke the Sylvanor language, making communication impossible.
Helpless, she could only return to the villa, pick up her phone, and think about calling him. But then she suddenly remembered that he had said his phone was with Douglas.
There was no other way, so she could only wait alone in the villa for him to come back.
After washing up, a young Sylvanor maid soon brought breakfast in.
As soon as she came in, she started talking to Cecilia in Sylvanor, but Cecilia couldn't understand a word. However, seeing the delicious food on the table, her appetite was aroused. After all, she had exhausted herself last night and was hungry.
Breakfast was very sumptuous, with fried eggs, milk, sausages, salad, and various fruits. Cecilia smiled at the maid and then started eating breakfast.
While Cecilia was having breakfast, the maid began to tidy up the room.
Cecilia was so hungry that she focused on enjoying the food and didn't notice that the maid had finished making the bed and started tidying up the things scattered from that colorful box on the bed.
Cecilia turned her head and saw the maid smiling.
Even if Cecilia went up to stop her now, it was too late. Oh my god, how embarrassing!
Cecilia lowered her head, pretending to eat, too embarrassed to look up.
The maid was very efficient and soon finished tidying up the room. She said something to Cecilia, bowed with her hands together, and then left the room.
After the maid left, Cecilia glanced at the bedside table and saw that the colorful box was neatly placed there again. She couldn't help but rub her face, thinking, 'After all, this is a foreign country, no one knows me, there's no need to be embarrassed!'
After finishing breakfast, she sat by the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the endless sea outside.
Although the scenery outside was still beautiful, without Daryl by her side, she felt extremely lonely.
It seemed that just having beautiful scenery was not enough; he was the most important. Maybe only with him could she truly appreciate the beauty.
Where did Daryl go? He didn't even tell her. Even if she was asleep, he could have left a note.
As Cecilia sat by the window for over an hour, she suddenly heard the sound of the door opening.
Hearing the sound, Cecilia turned her head and, sure enough, it was Daryl who had returned.
Seeing him in a burgundy shirt, she quickly ran over barefoot.
Cecilia threw herself into his arms, affectionately complaining, "Where did you go? I looked everywhere for you and couldn't find you!"
Looking down at the adorable Cecilia, Daryl smiled and said, "I woke up early and went for a walk."
Cecilia pouted and said, "Didn't you say you would stay with me all the time these days? Now you've left me here alone. I can't understand what those Sylvanor people are saying, and I feel so uneasy!"
Hearing her coquettish complaints, Daryl frowned and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, it's my fault. I shouldn't have left you alone. It won't happen again."
After saying that, he kissed her on the forehead.
Hearing this promise, she smiled.
Then, Daryl pulled Cecilia to sit by the floor-to-ceiling window, pinched her chin, and asked, "Did you have breakfast?"
"I just ate." Cecilia nodded, suddenly remembering to ask, "Did you eat?"
Daryl couldn't help but laugh, "Breakfast is almost digested in my stomach."
"You got up very early?" Cecilia glanced at the clock on the wall; it was almost eleven o'clock.
She had slept so late because she was too tired last night.
"You were still sleeping soundly at that time," Daryl said, holding her hand.
Cecilia turned her face away, shyly saying, "It's all your fault."
Daryl lowered his eyebrows and pulled her into his arms, saying softly, "Yeah, it's all my fault."
Last night, he had been insatiable, making it hard for her to get out of bed.
Lying on his chest, feeling his strong heartbeat, her fingers played with his shirt as she pouted, "You promised to follow the procedure and only touch me on our wedding night. It turns out you were just fooling me. Hmph, I won't believe you anymore!"
Although her words were filled with complaints, her tone was coquettish, and there was a happy smile on her lips.
He was at a loss for words, looking down at her in his arms with a guilty expression.
After a long silence, she looked up and met his apologetic gaze.
Cecilia couldn't help but speak, "I was just joking. Are you mad?"
"You should be the one mad. I did break my promise, and it's unforgivable." Daryl said sincerely.
"It's not that serious." Cecilia had just wanted to tease him, not expecting him to take it seriously. She blamed herself for making such a joke.
She was also responsible for what happened last night. She had let things happen and even made them worse, so she was also to blame.
"So now I can only seek a way to make it up to you." Daryl suddenly said.
Cecilia looked at the serious expression on his face and couldn't help but ask, "What do you mean?"
What's done is done, how can he make it up?
He took out a small red velvet box from his pocket, opened it in front of her, and held it up to her.
She looked down at the box and couldn't help but frown, asking in surprise, "A diamond ring? What do you mean?"
