Chapter 123 Flirting
Susan sneaked a quick look at Seb, then dropped her gaze.
Why was Seb back? What did he want? Was he here to see her mess up?
Seb chuckled, touched his chin, and smiled.
A nurse in the ward set up a folding bed by the window and made it up. She smiled and said something to Seb.
Susan couldn't hear them, but she saw the young nurse looking at Seb with bright eyes.
Seeing Seb talk to the nurse made Susan furious!
She didn't know why she felt this way, but it was real.
After a couple of minutes, the nurse left, glancing back as she went.
Susan, now with a cold expression, looked at her half-eaten food and lost her appetite.
[Are you full?] Seb wrote in a small notebook instead of using his phone.
Susan rolled her eyes, thinking, 'I'm already full from anger; do I still need to eat?'
But she wouldn't say that out loud, not wanting Seb to think she cared too much.
So, she grabbed the pen and wrote: [Why are you back?]
[I asked the nurse for a bed. Where else would I sleep tonight? Want to share a bed with me?] Seb wrote.
Susan was infuriated and wrote: [Who wants to share a bed with you? You just want to chat with that nurse. She's pretty, after all.]
Seb smiled.
[What are you smiling at?] Susan quickly wrote.
[You're right, that nurse is prettier than you.] Seb wrote, his handwriting neat.
Susan angrily grabbed the pen and wrote: [Then go find her!]
She threw the notebook and pen at Seb, turned away, and covered herself with the blanket.
Fuming, she thought, 'I'll never talk to Seb again. He's such a flirt.'
Feeling a hand on her shoulder, she shook it off. When Seb's hand reached for her face, she buried it in the blanket.
Then, no one touched her again.
A few minutes later, something felt off. Since she couldn't hear, she didn't know if Seb was still there.
Suddenly, the lights went out!
Startled, Susan sat up.
Seb stepped forward, grabbed her shoulder, and kissed her!
The sudden kiss stunned Susan. When she realized what was happening, she immediately resisted.
She pounded Seb's shoulder, but it didn't faze him and just tired her out.
She couldn't fight off Seb's strong advances and felt extremely nervous!
It was a hospital, not even nine o'clock yet. The hallway was brightly lit, with people occasionally walking by. How could Seb do this?
Despite being embarrassed and angry, Seb's aggressive kiss left her powerless.
Just when Susan thought she might suffocate, Seb finally let go, allowing her to breathe.
Seb took out his phone, and the screen's glow let Susan see his face clearly. His deep eyes were focused on her with affection, making her heart skip a beat!
When their eyes met, Susan quickly looked away. She pushed his shoulders, but he wouldn't let go.
She could feel a burning sensation from Seb's lower body pressing against her, making her blush deeply.
Seb typed a few words on his phone and showed them to Susan.
[You look beautiful when you're angry.]
Susan angrily hit him.
What did he mean? Did he enjoy seeing her angry?
To Seb, this was just flirting. He smirked and typed another line.
[Were you jealous earlier?]
Susan quickly grabbed the phone and typed back.
[You're too narcissistic. I wouldn't get jealous!]
But after typing, she felt a bit guilty. Seeing him with that nurse had made her uncomfortable, like a weight on her chest.
Seb stared at her for a moment, then typed another line.
[If that's the case, then I'll leave?]
Seb was threatening her? As if she cared if he stayed.
[Go, leave right now!] Susan typed quickly.
Seb hesitated, then finally turned and left.
His departure left Susan feeling suddenly lonely. She watched him walk out of the ward with his phone.
She didn't expect him to leave so decisively. Usually, he would argue with her endlessly.
A moment later, Susan felt an emptiness in her heart. The dark ward felt even more isolating.
After a few minutes, she thought Seb had really left. She got out of bed, put on her shoes, walked to the door, and peeked outside. Sure enough, he was gone.
Susan turned back, closed the door, walked to the window, and stared at the hospital entrance.
But after a long time, she didn't see Seb leave the building.
Just as she was feeling puzzled, a pair of large hands suddenly wrapped around her waist from behind. She turned around in shock.
