Chapter 1091 Doing Whatever One Desires
That afternoon, as school let out, Cecilia had just reached the school gate when someone suddenly called out to her from behind, "Cecilia!"
Hearing this, Cecilia turned around and saw Barry standing behind her.
It was already spring, and Barry, wearing a sky-blue shirt, looked tall and robust under the blue sky and white clouds.
"Barry?" Cecilia greeted with a smile.
After not seeing him for many days, Barry seemed even more handsome than before.
"How have you been these days? I've been wanting to ask you out for a chat, but I was afraid you'd refuse," Barry said with a hint of shyness on his face.
Hearing this, Cecilia felt a bit soft-hearted.
Actually, Barry was a really nice person—kind, honest, and helpful. However, she couldn't accept his feelings. She didn't mind being friends with him, but she was afraid that if they stayed friends, he might not change his mind and end up getting hurt even more.
"I've been quite busy lately, so..." Cecilia found an excuse, but even she felt her words were weak.
At this moment, Barry suddenly interrupted her, "Cecilia, I'm leaving Northstar City."
Hearing this, Cecilia was stunned for a moment before asking, "You haven't finished your studies yet, right? Why are you leaving?"
Barry smiled and said, "I've already earned all my credits ahead of time, so I've graduated. My mom is in Luminara, and she wants me to go there to be with her."
Hearing this, Cecilia said, "Congratulations!"
"Thank you," Barry replied with a smile.
"Also, I wish you a safe journey!" Cecilia added.
"Thank you. I hope we can meet again in Luminara someday," Barry said, looking at Cecilia with a hopeful gaze.
Hearing this, Cecilia was taken aback.
His gaze was so focused on her that she naturally understood what he meant.
Sensing Cecilia's awkward expression, Barry lowered his head and smiled sadly. "Cecilia, I know you're with Daryl now. I don't mean anything else. As a friend, I just want to reunite with you in your hometown. I hope you and Daryl get married soon!"
Hearing this, Cecilia forced a smile, suddenly not knowing what to say.
She and Daryl could never get married in this lifetime. It was just a matter of interest between them, and when the time came, they would go their separate ways.
"Thank you. I also hope you find someone you love soon," Cecilia said politely with a smile.
"Goodbye," Barry said, taking a step back.
"Goodbye!" Cecilia watched Barry, feeling a sudden sense of reluctance.
Barry was cheerful and handsome, but she didn't love him. She hoped he would be well in the future.
After giving Cecilia one last deep look, Barry finally turned around and walked away quickly.
Cecilia watched Barry's figure grow smaller and smaller, feeling a sudden sense of loss.
"He's already gone, and you're still reluctant to part?" At this moment, a cold and mocking voice suddenly came from behind her.
Hearing this, Cecilia was startled.
Then, she turned around and saw Daryl standing in front of her, though she didn't know when he had arrived.
"When did you get here?" Cecilia asked, her hand on her chest.
At this moment, Cecilia was both startled and feeling a bit guilty.
Actually, there was nothing between her and Barry, but she didn't know why she felt guilty. Maybe it was because Daryl's gaze was too sharp, making her very uncomfortable.
"What are you nervous about?" Daryl's eyes seemed to pierce into Cecilia's soul.
"Nothing," Cecilia retorted.
She had no reason to be nervous; there was nothing between her and Barry. But why did she feel so unsure when she said this?
Daryl stared at Cecilia for a moment, then said directly, "Let's go!"
At this moment, the driver had already opened the back door of the car, and Daryl stepped in first.
Seeing this, Cecilia knew he might be angry. She sighed helplessly and got into the car as well.
Soon, the car was driving down the wide road.
He kept a stern face and didn't speak.
Cecilia asked, "What are we going to eat?"
"Going home," Daryl said.
Cecilia frowned and said, "Didn't you say you were going to take me to a great steak place? If we go home now, I have classes in the afternoon, and you have work. We'll only have time for a simple lunch."
Originally, Cecilia and Daryl had planned to have steak together for lunch. Daryl said he would pick her up from school, but unexpectedly, Barry had called out to her, and Daryl had seen it.
"I'm not hungry," Daryl said, frowning.
Hearing this, Cecilia didn't say anything more. Since he was clearly in a bad mood, she decided not to annoy him further.
The car stopped in front of the villa.
The driver opened the door, and Cecilia got out first, followed by Daryl.
Cecilia took out her keys and opened the door, then walked into the foyer to change her shoes.
Daryl stepped in and closed the door behind him.
Then, he took a step forward, pulled Cecilia into his arms, and kissed her.
Cecilia, who was changing her shoes, was startled. She hadn't even finished changing her shoes when Daryl pulled her into the living room barefoot.
"What are you doing?" Cecilia managed to say, but her words were muffled by his kiss.
Daryl pulled her to the large couch and pushed her down onto it.
His kisses were aggressive, and his hands were rough, clearly carrying a hint of punishment.
Cecilia tried to push him away, but she couldn't move him at all.
Her dress was quickly thrown to the floor, and in the end, Cecilia could only submit to him.
It was as if he wanted to embed himself into her body, as if someone was trying to take her away from him.
Soon, Cecilia understood—Daryl was jealous of Barry.
Although she was also angry, deep down, Cecilia felt a tiny bit of joy, realizing he still cared about her.
Cecilia didn't know if he truly still had feelings for her or if he just couldn't stand other men coveting what he considered his.
This time, he didn't stop for a long time. Cecilia's lips and neck were kissed red.
In the end, Cecilia couldn't take it anymore and collapsed on the couch , letting him do as he pleased.
