Susan changed her shoes, went to the bedroom to change into loungewear, and then sat on the couch to watch TV. There was a show she had been watching recently.
This apartment only had a small living room with a TV. His presence affected her watching the show.
But this is her home; she couldn't let him take over, right? So she comfortably sat on the couch watching TV, even putting her legs up on the coffee table.
She glanced towards the kitchen, wondering what he was doing in there.
Whatever he was doing, she turned her head and focused on the show.
