Chapter 672 Sulking

Upon hearing this, Seb looked up at Leon, whose gaze was unwavering. After hesitating for a moment, he tugged at the corner of his mouth and nodded, saying, "You're right, let them handle it themselves!"

Seb then spread his hands towards Esme.

Realizing that Seb wasn't going to stand up for her, Esme was furious and questioned Leon, "Leon, what's your relationship with this woman? Why are you standing up for her?"

Susan watched the exchange closely, her earlier apprehension fading. Leon hadn't backed down just because Esme was with Seb, and Seb, in turn, had respected Leon's intervention. It seemed her worries had been unfounded. With Leon present, Isabella wouldn't be bullied.

Leon glanced at Isabella and then replied, "She's my girlfriend."

Hearing this, Esme was stunned. She looked back at Leon, then at Isabella, very surprised. Naturally, her momentum dropped. After all, Seb clearly wasn't helping her, and Isabella's boyfriend was here. She didn't bring her assistant today, so if a conflict really broke out, she wouldn't have the upper hand.

At this moment, Isabella wasn't planning to let things go. With her hands on her hips, she said, "What? Now that you know my man is here, you're scared? Hey, isn't your precious Seb right here? Why isn't he defending you? I thought you two were so open about your love?"

Esme glanced at the arrogant Isabella and raised her chin, saying, "I won't stoop to your level. You're nothing but a shrew."

After saying that, Esme stepped forward and took Seb's arm, coquettishly saying, "Seb, I feel this salon is too low-end. How about we go somewhere else?"

"Sure." Seb's lips curled up, and he agreed immediately.

Isabella frowned and said, "Hey, who are you calling a shrew? Make yourself clear!"

At this moment, Leon stepped forward to stop Isabella, who was about to advance, and whispered, "That's enough, let it go!"

"Hmph!" Isabella knew the argument couldn't continue, so she snorted coldly at Esme.

Seeing that the situation had been defused, Susan turned to leave while they weren't paying attention.

But suddenly, Seb's voice came from behind.

"Why are you leaving as soon as you see me? Can't stand the sight of me? Am I a virus?" Seb's voice was cold and sarcastic.

Susan didn't want to pay attention to him, but thinking about him suddenly transferring Hayden, she couldn't help it. So the next moment, she turned to Seb and said, "You're right, you are a virus. I'm avoiding you like the plague. Satisfied?"

Hearing this, Seb frowned and retorted, "Don't forget, you came here yourself."

"I just heard Isabella was arguing with someone. Seeing you here isn't surprising." Susan finished and crossed her arms over her chest.

Esme couldn't hold back and immediately said, "What do you mean by that? What's not surprising about seeing us?"

"I didn't mean anything else; you're overthinking it." Susan didn't want to argue with Esme, but her eyes were filled with anger when she looked at her.

"Can I assume you came because you heard Seb was here? Ms. Wilson, let me remind you again, Seb has divorced you. You have no relationship anymore. Even if you come running to curry favor, Seb won't care about you. I'm Seb's girlfriend now!" As she said this, Esme tightened her grip on Seb's arm, clearly staking her claim.

Susan glanced at Esme's tightly holding Seb's arm, and at that moment, Seb even touched Esme's hand, a smile playing on his lips.

Susan's heart was in turmoil, but she couldn't lose her composure. Facing Esme's provocation, she couldn't let her see her falter.

So, the next moment, Susan raised her head and coldly laughed. "Yes, we divorced, but I initiated it. I didn't want him, not the other way around. Esme, get that straight before you speak!"

"You wouldn't want Seb? Do you think I would believe that?" Esme sneered.

Susan tugged at her lips, then looked up at Seb and said, "If you don't believe me, you can ask him."

After saying that, Susan turned to leave.

"You're just afraid of losing face, aren't you?" Esme shouted from behind.

Hearing this, Susan paused, then turned back and said, "Esme, Seb is someone I discarded. If you want to pick him up, go ahead. No need to act like you've found a treasure and let the whole world know. You may see him as a treasure, but to me, he's just something to be thrown in the trash. I'm very busy and don't have time to argue with you. Goodbye!"

After saying that, Susan walked out of the salon.

Susan's words left Esme speechless, not knowing how to respond.

At this moment, Isabella walked up with a smirk, glanced at Esme, and mocked, "Keep that big piece of trash for yourself; no one else wants it!"

After saying that, Isabella followed Susan out.

Esme was so angry she stomped her feet and then clung to Seb's arm, whining, "Seb, did you hear that? That woman not only insulted you but also bullied me. You can't just let this go; you have to teach her a lesson!"

At this moment, Seb's face was already very dark. He pulled his arm out of Esme's grip and said, "I have something to do. Let Leon take you back."

"But..." Esme didn't have time to finish her sentence before Seb had already stepped out of the salon.

"Seb?" Esme's shouting from behind was useless.

At this moment, Leon stepped forward and said, "Ms. Davis, please."

Esme snorted coldly and reluctantly walked out of the salon.

Back at the office, Susan sat in her swivel chair, sulking.

Esme's declaration that she was Seb's girlfriend had stung more than Susan cared to admit. The fact that Seb hadn't denied it, that he'd even indulged Esme's possessive behavior, spoke volumes. Their relationship was clearly more than just casual.

Anger bubbled inside her. 'Of all the women in the world, he had to choose a talentless, social-climbing singer who's been with half of Maple Valley?'
