Chapter 781 Apology
Susan quickly rolled down the car window and waved at Spring.
Even after the car had driven away, Susan's eyes were still fixed on Spring's small figure entering the villa.
At this moment, Seb pressed a button, and the window quickly rolled up.
"Where are we going?" Susan finally turned her gaze to Seb's face behind her.
Seb curled his lips in dissatisfaction and said, "You finally noticed me."
Hearing this, Susan knew he was upset. She adjusted her hair and said, "What are you talking about?"
The next moment, Seb reached out and held Susan's hand, saying seriously, "Ever since we came to Northstar City, you've only cared about Spring and Hayden, not me."
Hearing this, Susan smiled and explained, "You're such a grown-up, yet you're still jealous of Hayden and Spring. Aren't you ashamed?"
"I don't care. Today, you're all mine." Seb wrapped his arm around Susan's waist and declared dominantly.
Seeing his childishness, Susan smiled, feeling very happy inside.
Over the years, they hadn't spent much time together. Even when they were together, he was always busy with work, which was his top priority. It was rare for him to set work aside for so many days and focus solely on accompanying her, Hayden, and Spring.
The next moment, Susan touched his face and said, "Alright, today we'll have our own time."
"Tell me, where do you want to go? I'll go with you." Seb affectionately pinched Susan's nose.
Susan leaned into his arms and said emotionally, "As long as you're with me, anywhere is fine."
"My friend has a house in the suburbs with a great view and a hot spring. How about we spend the day there?" Seb asked.
"Are we coming back tonight?" Susan asked nervously.
Seeing the nervousness in her eyes, Seb's lips curled into a mischievous smile, and he said, "Of course not."
"I'm worried about Hayden and Spring. I want to see them," Susan said, troubled.
Although she had been with them for two weeks, Susan still felt it wasn't enough.
"Tomorrow we'll come back first thing in the morning. Today, you're all mine!" Seb held Susan's hand firmly, his tone leaving no room for doubt.
Hearing this, Susan smiled, which was a sign of her consent.
An hour later, Susan was standing in a bedroom of a five-story building.
Aelistania was a sparsely populated place, and the suburbs of Northstar City were quite desolate, but the scenery was purely natural.
It had just snowed heavily a couple of days ago, so standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, one could see an endless expanse of white snow.
The room was warm, with a roaring fire in the fireplace.
Susan was wearing a thin shirt, and her forehead was slightly sweaty.
Suddenly, someone walked up behind her and hugged her waist.
Standing barefoot on the carpet, Susan smiled and naturally leaned against the chest of the person behind her.
His chest was strong and elastic, both warm and comfortable, and Susan's lips were always curved upward.
"It feels so freeing to be out here, away from everything," Susan remarked, gazing out at the snowy landscape.
"Too bad all you can see is snow, nothing else," Seb said with a smile.
Susan touched his hand on her waist and said, "But I have you."
"And I have your sweet words," Seb chuckled, gently pinching her cheek.
"Who wouldn’t be sweet with someone like you?" Susan teased, tilting her head back to meet his gaze.
Seb leaned down, whispering, "Let’s see if you’re as sweet as you sound," before kissing her deeply.
Susan was quite enthusiastic; she stepped forward and kissed him!
He initially intended to keep it brief, but feeling her enthusiasm, he couldn't stop himself. Breathing heavily, he bent down to pick her up.
Seeing this, Susan immediately pushed him away, took a step back, and frowned. "Don't mess around!"
"I'm not messing around," Seb frowned.
"Easy there, it’s broad daylight!" Susan rolled her eyes at him.
"What’s wrong with a little daylight romance?" Seb protested playfully, pulling her close again.
Susan pushed his shoulders and said, "Stop it, I need to talk to you seriously."
"We're serious now," Seb said, his hand already slipping into her shirt.
"What are you doing?" Susan laughed, pushing him away.
Susan turned to run, but he took a big step forward and hugged her waist from behind, and they both fell onto the soft sofa!
Susan sat on his lap, holding his hands because they were being quite mischievous.
"What do you want to tell me? I'm all ears," Seb said, looking at his hands held by Susan, smiling helplessly.
Susan held Seb's hands tightly, afraid he would break free.
"Do you know? Cecilia has a lover," Susan said.
Hearing this, Seb smiled. "What's so strange about that? Cecilia is young and beautiful. A girl like her would naturally attract attention wherever she goes. I'd be surprised if she didn't have a romantic history."
"She apologized to me today," Susan continued.
"Apologized for what?" Seb frowned.
Susan smiled and said, "She said she's sorry for trying to ruin my family and seduce you."
Hearing this, Seb laughed. "She has the nerve to say that? Ruin your family? Does she have the ability? Trying to seduce me, she's overestimating herself!"
"She just didn't succeed this time," Susan said.
"You really believe her apology? She just couldn't seduce me. If she had succeeded, would she still apologize to you? Silly girl!" Seb wanted to poke Susan's head but could only touch her forehead with his since his hands were held tightly.
Touched on the forehead, Susan frowned and said, "I don't think Cecilia is a bad person. She has her reasons."
"What reasons? You believe her one-sided story?" Seb scoffed at Susan's words.
"It's not one-sided. When Spring and I visited Cecilia, we saw her boyfriend there, and they were arguing. You don't know, Cecilia's family is poor. Her father passed away early, and her mother and brother worked to support her education. Now her brother has a girlfriend who demands a house and $20,000 to get married. Cecilia had no choice but to find a wealthy man to see if she could raise some money," Susan explained.
