Chapter 964 If I lose this kid, I'll take you down with me

Leon sneered at the stunned Alfonso. "I'm here to see my woman and kid. None of your business. Now, can you let go of her?"

Isabella saw the fire in Leon's eyes and quickly shrugged off Alfonso's hand. It wasn't about Leon; she just didn't want Alfonso getting dragged into this mess.

Alfonso, ticked off by Leon's attitude, stepped up and jabbed a finger at him. "Leon, you left Isabella alone in Northstar City for half a year without a word, and you even forced her to abort the kid. You jerk!"

"This is between her and me. Stay out of it!" Leon shot back.

Alfonso scoffed. "You're just as much an outsider as I am now. You and Isabella aren't married and have already broken up. At least I'm still her good friend. You? You're nothing!"

Leon, losing his cool, swung and punched Alfonso.

"Leon!" Isabella shouted, trying to step in, but the two were already brawling, leaving her watching anxiously from the side.

Alfonso didn't back down and punched Leon right back.

They kept trading blows.

In the end, Alfonso couldn't keep up and went down.

Leon pointed at the fallen Alfonso and threatened, "Stay away from my woman and kid, or I'll beat you every time I see you!"

Isabella, seeing this, pushed Leon away and crouched down to check on Alfonso. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Alfonso grunted, struggling to stand and helping Isabella up.

Seeing them being all chummy, Leon frowned and yanked Isabella away. "Let's go!"

"Let go of me!" Isabella struggled.

Leon turned back, eyes blazing. "You want me to beat him up again?"

Isabella hesitated, glancing back at the bruised Alfonso. She felt a pang of guilt for dragging him into this.

The next moment, Leon pulled her away, and she reluctantly followed.

Back at the villa, Isabella, exhausted and scared, sat uncomfortably on the couch.

Leon poured a glass of water and handed it to her. "Drink some water."

Isabella turned her head away, fuming. "Thanks, but I'm not thirsty!"

"Maybe you're not, but my kid is," Leon insisted.

Isabella couldn't hold back anymore and pushed his hand away with such force that the glass slipped from Leon's hand and shattered on the floor.

Leon frowned at the broken pieces.

Isabella, not expecting the glass to break, hesitated before snapping, "Why are you so barbaric? You hit people at the slightest disagreement. Don't you know this is Northstar City? If Alfonso calls the cops, you'll be arrested immediately!"

Leon's face turned serious. "If I didn't hit him, I wouldn't be a man!"

"You're not a man at all!" Isabella shot back.

Leon smirked and leaned in. "If I weren't a man, you wouldn't be pregnant."

"Leon, you bastard!" Isabella was livid, jumping up and pointing at him.

But her sudden movement and anger made her belly hurt intensely. She clutched her stomach and cried out, "It hurts!"

Leon's expression changed instantly. "What's wrong?"

"My belly hurts," Isabella gasped, her face contorted in pain.

Just then, Kathy walked in from grocery shopping. Seeing the broken glass and Isabella in pain, she dropped her basket. "What's going on?"

Leon didn't waste a second. He scooped Isabella up and turned to Kathy. "Kathy, get the stuff ready. We're heading to the hospital!"

"Got it," Kathy nodded, rushing to gather things.

Leon carried Isabella to the car, placed her gently inside, and sped off to the nearest hospital.

In the passenger seat, Isabella closed her eyes, the pain and fear overwhelming her.

"Hang in there, we're almost there!" Leon said, gripping the steering wheel with one hand and holding Isabella's hand with the other.

Isabella opened her eyes and saw the worry in Leon's gaze. Despite everything, his concern gave her a strange sense of security.

She watched him drive, his eyes darting between the road and her, sweat beading on his forehead.

His anxiety seemed genuine. Isabella couldn't understand; if he cared so much, why had he forced her to abort and ignored them for half a year?

"Leon, you have to help me keep this baby!" Isabella's voice was stern and serious.

"Our kid will be fine, don't worry," Leon assured, tightening his grip on her hand.

Isabella wasn't done. "Don't try any tricks. If I lose this baby, I'll take you down with me!"

The memory of him forcing her to abort still haunted her, and she needed to make her stance clear.

Leon glanced at her, seeing the determination and doubt in her eyes. He knew how much this baby meant to her.

Though her words stung, he wasn't angry. He had hurt her too much before, and her distrust was justified.

So, he smiled slightly and said seriously, "Don't worry, no matter what, the three of us will be together."

Isabella was taken aback. She knew Leon well enough to know he meant what he said. She understood the weight of his words.

So, she nodded and said, "Okay."
