Chapter 486 Should We Use Contraception?

"But you started it, so I'm just getting even," Susan shot back, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, I'm just not happy," Seb grumbled, then took a sip of his coffee.

Susan felt a twinge of anxiety. "Seb, we're supposed to take our wedding photos today, remember? You've been sulking all morning. People might think I'm dragging you to the altar. They'll totally think you don't wanna marry me!"

Seeing Susan's annoyed face, Seb softened a bit. "Alright, cheer me up then. If I'm happy, I won't look so grumpy."

Susan felt a bit helpless. After all, she was the one who had ticked Seb off.

So, she grabbed Seb's arm and shook it, speaking in a playful tone, "Okay, okay, it's all my fault, alright?"

"Nope," Seb shook his head.

"The photographer's waiting outside. We can't keep him hanging forever," Susan kept shaking Seb's arm.

"We're paying him; he can wait," Seb said nonchalantly.

"What do you want then?" Susan shook his arm again.

Seb frowned, looked down at her hand, and said flatly, "I'm telling you, even if you shake my arm till tomorrow morning, it won't work today."

Seeing her usual trick fail, Susan frowned. "What will it take for you to stop being mad?"

"Figure it out yourself," Seb said, then got up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, staring outside.

For a moment, Susan was stumped.

Looking at his tall back, she had no idea what to do.

Then, Susan slowly lifted her wedding dress and walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around Seb's waist.

Seb glanced down at her arms around his waist, his lips twitching slightly, but he kept a stern face.

"I love you!" Susan closed her eyes and mustered the courage to say those three words.

Hearing this, Seb's back stiffened!

He hadn't expected Susan to say those words. Like him, she wasn't one to easily express love verbally, so hearing this made his heart race.

When he didn't respond for a while, Susan pouted and said, "Did you hear me?"

"I'm not deaf," Seb said, a smile already creeping onto his face.

But Susan couldn't see it; she could only hear his usual tone.

"I've said such cheesy stuff already; shouldn't you stop being mad?" Susan shook his waist with her hands.

Seb smiled but still pretended to be aloof. "Just a little more effort and I'll be over it."

"What more can I do?" Susan immediately withdrew her hands, sounding frustrated.

"That's up to you," Seb turned around, looking down at the pouting Susan in front of him.

At this moment, Susan glanced at Seb's face. Their eyes met for a second, and she saw the intensity burning in his eyes.

Susan bit her lip, steeled herself, leaned forward, stood on tiptoe, and kissed Seb's lips.

Susan's sudden move stunned Seb, but he quickly began to enjoy her initiative.

They'd been together forever, and she’d never kissed him like that before. Seb's hands gripped her waist, and he was totally into it.

Of course, Susan pulled back soon enough.

Blushing, she asked, "Is that enough?"

"You barely passed," Seb smirked.

Seeing him smile, Susan finally relaxed. "Why do you always act like a kid, getting all moody and needing me to cheer you up?"

"Maybe 'cause you always get under my skin?" Seb winked.

Susan laughed and gave him a playful shove, then called out, "Hey, can we get back to it?"

The waiting photographer rushed in. "Yep, ready when you are."

Next thing, Seb and Susan struck a pose, and the photographer got back to snapping pics.

This time, Seb was super cooperative, smiling when told to, keeping a straight face when needed, and nailing every pose with a serious vibe.

Watching him, Susan found it hilarious. He was like a big kid, really.

After a quick lunch break, they were back at it in the afternoon.

The cool thing about Solomon Bridal Photography Studio was the little garden out back, decked out with all sorts of pretty scenes for photos.

Susan, draped in a long veil and holding a bouquet of white flowers, stood with Seb behind her. The backdrop was a castle and a fountain, making for a killer scene. The photographer circled them, snapping shots from every angle.

While Susan was all serious, making different expressions, Seb grabbed her hand and leaned in close. "Got a question for you."

Susan frowned. "Why are you changing poses? Whatever it is, ask later."

Seb turned to the photographer. "These poses feel too stiff. How about some candid shots? We'll just wing it."

Not wanting to upset a client, the photographer nodded. "Sure, whatever you say."

Seb then gave Susan a look.

Susan smiled helplessly, letting him have his way.

Seb wrapped an arm around her waist, leaned in, and whispered, "I was thinking, maybe we skip the contraception tonight."

Susan was floored. At such a special moment, how could he ask that?

"We're taking pictures now, can't you focus?" Susan whispered back.

"A wedding photo shoot is part of getting ready for marriage, right? And marriage means we can sleep together without sneaking around. All these ceremonies are just about making it official for a man and woman to hook up," Seb said, dead serious.

Susan glanced at the photographer, still moving around, taking candid shots. She thought, 'Thank God Seb's voice was low enough that the photographer didn't hear, or I'd die of embarrassment!'

"You're getting so crude. Was all that gentlemanly stuff just an act?" Susan rolled her eyes at him.
