Chapter 476 Reluctant to Part
"I dig it when you're all confident and fired up, okay?" Susan blurted out.
Seb tilted his head, thought for a sec, then flashed a devilish grin. "Yeah, that's one, but it's not your fave, is it?"
Seeing he wasn't satisfied, Susan racked her brain. "I like it when you're all handsome and charming."
"That's weak. There are tons of handsome and charming dudes out there." Seb shook his head.
Susan quickly added, "Then I like it when you're all decisive and bossy!"
That was the truth; she really admired how he took charge at work.
"That's another one, but still not your top pick." Seb still wasn't buying it.
Susan was stumped. "I really can't think of anything else."
"Nothing else? Alright, then I'm really gonna kiss you." Seb stretched his neck.
Susan quickly tilted her head. "Wait, I got one!"
"What?" Seb's eyes burned with intensity.
Seeing that fiery look, Susan knew what he wanted her to say, and her face turned red.
The next moment, she snuggled into his arms.
"Just say it." Seb shook Susan in his arms.
Susan leaned on his shoulder, brought her mouth close to his ear, and whispered something that made her feel utterly embarrassed. "I like you best in bed!"
Hearing this, a grin spread across Seb's face.
Susan, on the other hand, shyly buried herself in his arms, while Seb's arms tightened around her.
This was one of those moments where words fell short, and they could only express their feelings through tight embraces and intimate whispers.
Seb lowered his head, kissed her hair, and whispered in her ear, "How about we crash at a hotel tonight?"
Hearing this, Susan immediately snapped back to reality and refused, "No way, if you don't go home, your mom will flip. Plus, your dad's still in the hospital, so let's not complicate things."
Seb thought about it and realized she was right, so he didn't push it.
They hung out at the café until after eleven, and then Seb took Susan home.
Downstairs at Isabella's apartment, they were still reluctant to part.
In the moonlight, Seb looked down at Susan, tugging at her coat. "When we're together, it feels normal, but once we're apart, I miss you like crazy."
Hearing this, Susan smiled happily. "This shows how important I am to you. You won't be able to live without me in the future!"
Seb pinched her nose with a smile. "You're so full of yourself."
Susan laughed joyfully.
After some more chatting and laughing, Susan urged, "Alright, it's late. You should go back. You have work tomorrow."
At that moment, Seb suddenly hugged Susan, resting his chin on her shoulder, and said emotionally, "What should I do? I don't wanna leave you."
Hearing this, Susan was stunned!
Because he wasn't the type to express his feelings, let alone say something so sentimental.
For a moment, Susan's heart felt like it was holding a passionate ocean, making it hard for her to calm down.
After a while, seeing that Susan hadn't responded, Seb pushed her shoulder and said, "Why aren't you saying anything?"
Susan said innocently, "I heard you, and I get it. What else do you want me to say?"
Seb was momentarily speechless. After a long pause, he finally squeezed out a frustrated sentence, "Can't you just say you can't live without me either and that you wanna be with me every day?"
Seeing his anxious look, Susan couldn't hold back any longer and burst out laughing.
Seeing her amused expression, Seb finally realized and said, "So you were messing with me?"
"You mess with me all the time. What's wrong with me teasing you once?" Susan said, clutching her stomach with laughter, and then slipped away from Seb's side.
"How dare you run?" Seb realized she was running, but Susan had already dashed into the building.
Susan dashed up the stairs and into the kitchen. She flung open the window and looked down to see Seb still standing below, gazing up at the window.
In the dim light from below, Susan waved at Seb. "Go home!"
Downstairs, Seb stared intently at Susan, who had poked her head out, pointed at her, and said something in a low voice.
"I can't hear you!" Susan pointed to her ear and then closed the window.
She then hid around the corner of the kitchen, peeking out only after a long time to see Seb leaving.
At this moment, Isabella, who had been sleeping for a while, came out of the bedroom in her pajamas.
"I thought you weren't coming back tonight," Isabella said, yawning.
Susan raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm practically homeless. If I don't come here, where else can I go?"
"You two are so reluctant to part, and with all that passion, I thought you'd definitely stay at a hotel!" Isabella said with a mischievous smile.
"Get outta here," Susan said as she walked into the bathroom.
But Isabella was right; she and Seb were indeed very passionate tonight, just short of staying at a hotel.
Sitting on the toilet, Susan heard her phone beep.
She quickly took out her phone and saw a message from Seb.
Even before reading the message, just seeing it was from him made Susan smile.
Seb: [Just wait till next time!] The message read, followed by an angry face emoji.
Seeing the angry face emoji, Susan could almost imagine Seb's expression.
After thinking for a moment, Susan typed a few words in reply: [You'll have to wait till next time.]
After sending the message, Susan quickly finished washing up.
When she changed into her pajamas and lay on the sofa bed, she checked her phone and saw a message that had come in two minutes ago.
Seb: [Let's visit Dad during lunch break tomorrow?]
Susan quickly replied: [Sure.]
Soon, another message came: [Sleep early, see you tomorrow.] Followed by a mischievous face emoji.
Susan smiled and didn't reply, closing her eyes instead.
Maybe she was too tired, as she slept soundly until morning.
At noon, when Susan got off work and walked out of the office building, she saw the black Bentley already parked at the entrance, waiting.
As soon as Susan came out, Leon got out of the car and opened the back door for her.
Susan nodded at Leon and got into the car.
The car quickly started, and before Susan could settle in, an arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her into a broad chest!
