When Susan appeared in front of the CEO's office, Seb's secretary Ellie immediately stood up and smiled. "Mrs. Anderson, you're here?"
"Is he in?" Susan wasn't in the mood for pleasantries with Ellie and looked directly at the two large crimson doors ahead.
Hearing this, Ellie frowned slightly and hesitated before saying, "Mr. Anderson is on vacation. You didn't know?"
Susan was stunned upon hearing this.
He was on vacation? He wasn't at the company?
Ellie was also a bit surprised by Susan's expression. After all, Seb had been on vacation for several days, and his wife didn't know. It seemed their relationship wasn't that good.
At this moment, Susan didn't care about losing face in front of Ellie. She really didn't care anymore; instead, she felt a sharp pain in her heart.
How could he do this? Not coming home was one thing; she thought he was working day and night at the company. It turned out he had gone on vacation long ago. Who knew what kind of entertainment venue he was at now!
The scene of her fetching him from Golden Nightclub a few days ago was still vivid in her mind. At that time, a young, beautiful, tall, and fashionable girl was flirting with him. If she hadn't arrived a bit earlier, who knew what would have happened.
In an instant, the sadness in Susan's heart turned into anger.
The next moment, Susan said to Ellie, "Please call Mr. Johnson over immediately!"
Ellie was taken aback but quickly nodded. "I'll call Mr. Johnson right away."
Then, Susan directly pushed open the doors to Seb's office.
Just as Susan was feeling anxious, Leon gently pushed open the office door and walked in.
"Mrs. Anderson, what brings you here?" Leon's eyes showed a hint of unease.
Susan looked up at Leon and directly asked, "Where is he?"
"Well..." Leon stammered, unable to answer.
Susan suddenly stood up, her eyes scrutinizing Leon. "Is he at a nightclub this time, or with another woman? Tell me, I won't breathe a word."
Clearly, Susan no longer had any optimistic thoughts.
She was just afraid he would indulge himself due to a moment of impulse.
Hearing Susan's words, Leon quickly stepped forward and waved his hand. "Mrs. Anderson, you're overthinking it. It's not what you think!"
"Then what is it?" Susan was very anxious. She needed to see Seb immediately. She couldn't bear it any longer; the days of enduring had almost driven her to collapse.
"Mr. Anderson didn't allow me to say, but it seems I have no choice now. Actually, he went on a trip by himself," Leon finally said.
"A trip? Where to?" Susan frowned.
"Aelrystania," Leon replied.
Hearing this, Susan could hardly believe her ears. He actually went to Aelrystania!
Immediately, Susan took out her phone to call Seb.
Leon stepped forward to stop her, saying, "Don't bother. Mr. Anderson didn't take his phone."
After saying that, Leon turned and walked to the large desk, opened a drawer, and took out a phone.
Susan walked closer and saw that it was indeed Seb's phone.
While she was puzzled, Leon explained, "Mr. Anderson just wanted to clear his mind, so he chose Aelrystania, where no one knows him, and he didn't take his phone. I can't even contact him now."
"Did he at least say when he'd be back?" Susan asked anxiously.
Leon shrugged. "He said he'd come back when he was ready."
This made Susan very frustrated. She waved her hands in the air and said, "What is this? Escaping reality? Even if he doesn't think of me, how can he abandon the kids, his dad, and his mom? It's just so irresponsible."
After saying that, Susan angrily grabbed her bag and stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind her.
When she walked out of the Prosperity Group building, Susan felt like she was going crazy.
But going crazy wouldn't help; she could only face reality and wait for Seb to come back.
In a luxurious living room of a villa, it was unusually quiet.
After a long silence, the furious Carol suddenly reached out and swept a set of expensive porcelain off the coffee table, smashing it onto the floor!
"Mom, please calm down. Anger is bad for your health!" Rylee quickly advised.
Carol, however, was furious, saying, "How can I calm down? Todd has already filed for divorce in court. I've lived a dignified life, and now in my old age, I'm being abandoned. How can I face people in the future?"
Hearing this, Rylee slumped onto the sofa. "Dad is completely out of his mind. I heard Seb got many of his friends to persuade him, but he remains unmoved. Susan and her mom are real troublemakers, turning our good family into this!"
Carol, hearing this, slowly sat down on the sofa, her eyes narrowing with a vicious glint.
Then, she said to Andrew, who was standing nearby, "Andrew, go find someone to teach that woman a lesson. I can't let her get away with this!"
"Mom, don't worry. I'll make sure you get your revenge!" Andrew quickly said.
"But don't go too far. Be careful," Carol reminded.
"I understand," Andrew replied and then turned to leave.
After Andrew left, Rylee grabbed Carol's arm and asked worriedly, "Mom, what will you do if Dad insists on going through with this?"
Carol sneered and said, "Todd and I haven't had feelings for each other for a long time. We stayed together for the sake of appearances and for you kids. Whether I have Todd or not doesn't matter. But now, he's having an affair and wants to give up everything for that woman. I can't accept that, so I won't let that woman have her way and take my place!"
"Mom, Andrew and I are on your side," Rylee quickly said.
Carol reached out and patted Rylee's hand, smiling. "Ah, they say daughters are the ones who care most about their mothers. It's true. It seems I can't count on Seb anymore."
"Mom, actually Seb is quite troubled too. He's been bewitched by Susan," Rylee couldn't help but speak for Seb.
"I know you two have been close since childhood. I just hope Seb can come to his senses soon," Carol nodded.
"Mom, Andrew said Seb has been on vacation recently and hasn't been to the company," Rylee said.
Hearing this, Carol frowned. "Let him be!"
