Chapter 298 Scumbag

In the blink of an eye, it was Monday, and Susan was buried in organizing the budget proposal for Capgemini Software Company.

During this time, Elliott naturally found every opportunity to get close to Susan, but she never gave him a chance. She neither arrived early nor stayed late at work, and always left with her colleagues, leaving Elliott with no opportunities to approach her.

Finally, on Friday afternoon, Susan handed the completed budget proposal to Fiona.

Fiona took the budget proposal from Susan's hand, furrowed her brow, and said, "You finished it so quickly?"

"Yes," Susan nodded.

Only Susan knew that for the past few nights, she had been working until two or three in the morning after putting Spring to sleep. After a week, dark circles had appeared under her eyes.

Fiona then smiled and said, "I'll contact the person in charge at Capgemini Software Company right away to have them review your budget proposal. You can go and wait for the news."

"Okay," Susan nodded and then left Fiona's office.

Having finally completed the budget proposal, Susan knew it would likely be rejected by the person in charge at Capgemini Software Company. But Susan at least did what she was supposed to do. As for the outcome, she could only leave it to fate.

She went to the break room to pour herself a cup of coffee to refresh herself. Just as she was about to take a sip, a figure in a white shirt walked in.

Seeing Elliott, Susan furrowed slightly.

"Didn't you say you'd give me an answer in five days? It's been a week now. What have you decided?" Elliott's eyes glanced towards the door, his voice low and urgent.

At this moment, Susan thought that she had done her best on the budget proposal, and she certainly wouldn't do anything illegal just to secure a permanent position. As for the annoying Elliott, she wouldn't have anything to do with him. Just looking at him made her sick.

So, the next moment, Susan said to Elliott, word by word, "I've already made up my mind."

"You mean you agreed to sleep with me?" Elliott, hearing that Susan had made up her mind, was overjoyed. He looked Susan up and down and couldn't help but swallow hard.

Seeing Elliott's disgusting expression, Susan took a step back to avoid him taking advantage of her.

Then, Susan sneered and said, "Even if all the men in the world were dead, I wouldn't want you!"

Hearing this, the smile on Elliott's face froze!

After a moment, Elliott pointed at Susan's nose and cursed, "Bitch, are you playing me?"

"It's you who have bad intentions. You can't blame me for playing you!" Susan said coldly and turned to leave.

Elliott's eyes shifted, and he quickly caught up with Susan, knocking the coffee cup out of her hand.

The porcelain cup shattered into pieces upon hitting the hard floor, and the brown liquid splattered everywhere, making a mess.

"What the hell are you doing?" After a second of shock, Susan glared at Elliott.

The next moment, probably hearing the commotion in the break room, several women from the office got up and walked over.

At this point, Elliott suddenly pointed at Susan in front of the female colleagues and said harshly, "Susan, I, Elliott, may not be a saint, but I'm not as filthy as you think. Look at you, not young anymore, dressed so ugly. Do you think lifting your skirt just now would successfully seduce me?"

With that, Elliott spat at Susan.

Hearing Elliott's words, Susan's chest heaved with anger. Elliott was distorting the truth, accusing her of seducing him?

At this moment, the female colleagues watching all rolled their eyes at Susan, looking gleeful at her misfortune.

"Elliott, now I know why you're so shameless," Susan said, her eyes coldly fixed on Elliott.

"What do you mean?" Elliott asked, puzzled, squinting at Susan.

Susan sneered and said, "You're just a scumbag!"

With that, Susan turned to leave.

Elliott, realizing what she meant, stepped forward to hit Susan. "You bitch, what did you say! How dare you insult me?"

Susan, unafraid, turned and glared at Elliott. "Yes, I insulted you. So what? You scumbag!"

"You promiscuous bitch. Don't think I don't know about your affairs. You'll sleep with anyone for money, but I don't want you. Even if you were free, I'd find you dirty!" Elliott began to hurl extremely vicious insults at Susan.

Unable to bear it any longer, Susan stepped forward to hit Elliott. Although she knew she couldn't win against him, her anger drove her to act.

"You deserve a beating!" Susan gritted her teeth in fury.

Seeing that Susan and Elliott were about to fight, and with cups and kettles knocked over on the floor, the female colleagues quickly stepped in to mediate, fearing the situation would escalate.

Elliott, also afraid of making a big scene, began to back down. After all, he wanted to continue working at Pioneer Accounting Firm.

Susan, however, felt she had nothing to lose. In the chaos, she stepped forward and scratched Elliott's face with her sharp nails. In an instant, two red scratches appeared on Elliott's face.

Since she had little hope of securing a permanent position, Susan didn't want to endure any more humiliation, especially from Elliott, who had harassed her first and then blamed her.

If things escalated, she could leave. After all, she was just a temp. But Elliott was different. He had worked at Pioneer Accounting Firm for several years and was now Fiona's assistant, with a good salary and benefits.

Elliott, feeling the burning pain on his face, touched it and became furious. Pointing at Susan, he said, "Bitch, you dare scratch me? If I don't teach you a lesson, you won't know your place!"

With that, Elliott, his blood boiling, pushed aside the female colleagues blocking him and advanced to hit Susan.

At this moment, Susan was ready to fight to the death. If Elliott dared to hit her, she would fight him with all her might. She wasn't someone to be bullied.

Just as Elliott's hand was about to strike, a voice came from behind Susan. "What are you doing?"

Hearing this voice, everyone turned to see Fiona standing at the door.

Seeing Fiona, everyone stepped aside and fell silent.

Even Elliott lowered his hand. Susan knew Fiona might not stand up for her, but at least Elliott wouldn't dare hit her in front of Fiona, so she wouldn't have to suffer physically.
