Chapter 800 Warm Hands

Seeing Seb's brow still furrowed, Susan quickly chimed in, "You know Kathy, she's getting old and has trouble walking. Mary went grocery shopping today, and we didn't want Kathy to go here because we were afraid she'd fall."

By the end, Susan's voice had dropped to a whisper.

She noticed Seb's eyes suddenly soften, and she quickly looked down. 'What's up with Seb? He's so unpredictable,' she thought.

But then, Susan blushed. It was a bit embarrassing. He must be feeling pretty pleased that she braved the heavy snow to bring him stomach medicine. Wasn't that showing she cared?

The next moment, Seb sat down beside her.

Susan tugged at her lips, wanting to scoot away.

But a strong arm wrapped around her shoulders.

"What are you doing?" Susan glanced at Seb.

Seb's lips curled up. "You were worried my stomach would hurt too much, so you brought the medicine yourself, right?"

"The roads are slippery in the snow. I was afraid Kathy would fall!" Susan glared at him.

Hearing this, Seb's lips twitched, and he said, "I'll step out for a bit."

He grabbed the medicine bottle and headed outside.

Seeing him take the medicine, Susan couldn't help but frown.

'What's that about? He's going outside to take the medicine?' she wondered.

Looking around the room, the decor and furniture were really nice. The curtains and bed sheets were soft and high-quality. The room was big and had a bathroom, with things like a thermos and a water dispenser. If he wanted to take the medicine, there was no need to go outside, right? Susan was puzzled.

Having stood outside for so long, Susan was feeling pretty cold.

And the snow on her hair had melted in the warm air.

Susan sneezed several times in a row.

Just then, Seb opened the door and came back in.

Seeing Susan's state, he frowned.

Then, he grabbed a dry towel and started drying Susan's hair.

Susan, however, refused his help, grabbed the towel from his hand, and started drying her hair herself.

The message was clear: she wanted to keep her distance and show she was still mad.

Seeing her throw a tantrum, Seb frowned slightly.

Then, Seb noticed Susan's hands were as red as carrots from the cold.

Seb couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache. He stepped forward, took her hands in his, and warmed them with his own warm hands.

Seeing him blow on her hands and rub them with his own, she couldn't help but feel a lump in her throat, deeply moved. The anger and grievance she felt earlier vanished instantly.

"Feeling better?" After a while, Seb looked down and asked Susan gently.

Seeing his concerned gaze, Susan frowned and said playfully, "My hands are better, but my feet are so cold!"

Hearing this, Seb looked down at Susan's shoes.

In this freezing weather, Susan was wearing a pair of thin boots.

Seeing this, Seb couldn't help but frown and ask, "Are you out of your mind? It's freezing outside, and you're running around in thin boots?"

"I was in a hurry and just grabbed any pair of shoes. I even forgot my phone," Susan pouted.

Hearing this, Seb reached out and flicked Susan's forehead, scolding, "You are always so careless. What if you couldn't find me today?"

"So I climbed the gate!" Susan immediately replied.

Seeing Susan's cute and innocent expression, Seb couldn't help but laugh.

"You're still laughing?" Susan said angrily, seeing him laugh so happily.

Seb shook his head helplessly, then gently squatted down and took off Susan's boots.

When both boots were off, Seb frowned deeply.

Susan didn't even wear socks. He could imagine what it would be like to stand in the snow for an hour with just thin boots in such cold weather.

Seeing Susan's feet, red from the cold, Seb unbuttoned his shirt and placed her feet against his warm chest.

Seeing his actions, Susan instinctively tried to pull her feet back.

But his hands firmly held her ankles, and her feet could only rest on his chest.

At this moment, her feet, numb from the cold, felt a bit ticklish from the warmth of his chest.

Seeing him holding her feet to his chest, Susan felt as if a warm spring had poured into her heart, deeply moved.

Such a scene could only be seen in TV shows and novels. She never thought he would do this today.

Then, Susan softly said, "Stop it, you'll have a cold."

Her feet were so cold that Susan worried he couldn't handle it.

Seb smiled, showing his white teeth, and said, "I'm a man; I'm not that delicate."

"But..." Susan frowned in worry.

Seb then draped a blanket over Susan and touched her hands, which were still cold.

At this moment, Susan sneezed several times in a row.

Seeing this, Seb frowned and said, "Take off your clothes!"

"What?" Hearing this, Susan looked at him in shock.

Take off her clothes? And this was someone else's house, not their own!

Realizing that Susan seemed to misunderstand his meaning, Seb explained, "Take off your clothes and get under the blanket. I'll find an electric blanket for you. Otherwise, you won't warm up in two hours. You're almost frozen stiff!"

Hearing this, Susan blushed and lowered her head.

Then, Seb walked out of the guest room.

Following Seb's advice, Susan took off her outer clothes and wrapped herself in the thick blanket.

An electric blanket would be perfect right now. She felt her body was ice-cold, and even with the blanket, she was shivering.

After a while, Seb hadn't returned, and Susan felt very anxious. After all, this was an unfamiliar environment, but she completely trusted him, waiting here in just her underwear wrapped in a blanket.

The next moment, the guest room door opened, and Seb walked in, frowning.

"Couldn't find one?" Susan saw he came back empty-handed.

"There isn't an electric blanket here," Seb said, frustrated.

Hearing this, Susan smiled and said, "It's okay, the room is actually quite warm. I should warm up after a nap."
