Chapter 897 I'm Going to Find Her
Seb, who had just been pulled up, strolled over to the floor-to-ceiling window, stretched lazily, and grumbled, "I'm starting to regret making you my secretary."
Susan chuckled. "Too late for regrets now."
Seb let out a sigh.
Seeing his sigh, Susan smirked. "Regretting you can't hire a young, hot secretary in the future?"
"Exactly!" Seb pointed at Susan, then turned to his desk and grabbed a glass of orange juice.
Susan, pretending to be angry, marched over and snatched the glass from his hand. "If you want a young, hot secretary, don't drink the juice I made for you."
"But I haven't hired one yet. Let me enjoy this for now." Seb laughed, reaching for the glass.
Susan flicked her wrist, making him miss. "Nope, not happening!"
Seb grinned, then stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Susan's waist and leaning in for a kiss.
Susan turned her face away, but Seb moved closer. Still holding the juice, Susan frowned. "The juice is gonna spill!"
Seb glanced at the tilted glass, took it from her hand, and set it on the table. Then he leaned in to kiss her.
"Stop it!" Susan initially resisted.
But soon, all her protests melted away.
His kiss was intense and lingering, and Susan got lost in it.
Just as she was getting dizzy from the kiss, Seb suddenly picked her up.
"What are you doing?" Susan, panicking, wrapped her arms around Seb's neck.
Seeing her frightened eyes, Seb smiled. "Didn't you say exercise relieves stress?"
With that, he carried her to the couch.
"Don't mess around; this is the office!" Susan patted his shoulder.
She had refused his advances this morning, but now he was really making a move in the office.
"This is my territory; I make the rules!" Seb placed Susan on the couch and leaned over her.
"No, you have an appointment at 10:20." Susan pushed against his chest.
Seb glanced at the clock. "We have ten minutes; let's make it quick."
With that, he kissed Susan again.
Susan's eyes widened, wanting to resist, but she was pinned down, her mouth sealed by his, making it impossible to fight back.
Ten minutes wasn't enough for sex. It took ten minutes just to undress and dress again.
But Seb only needed less than a minute to kiss Susan into a daze.
Susan realized he just wanted to scare her a bit.
He could only kiss her passionately; there wasn't enough time for anything else.
So, she decided to enjoy the kiss.
Susan's hand hooked around Seb's neck, and they shared a passionate kiss.
Just as things were heating up, there was a sudden knock on the door.
Seb froze, and Susan quickly pushed against his chest, whispering, "Someone's here!"
Seb, still reluctant, tried to keep kissing her. "Ignore them. If I don't respond, no one dares to come in."
"No way, what if they come in? That'd be so embarrassing!" Susan said nervously.
After a moment of silence, the person outside knocked again.
By now, Seb's mood was totally ruined. he sat up straight on the couch and called out, "Come in!"
Susan was already by the coffee table, fixing her hair and looking serious.
The door opened, and Leon walked in.
"What's up?" Seb glanced at Leon, his face a bit stern. He grabbed a cigarette from the coffee table and lit it, trying to look composed.
Susan lowered her head, trying not to laugh. 'He really knows how to switch it up,' she thought. 'One minute he's flirting, the next he's all business.'
Leon glanced at Susan, then turned to Seb. "Mr. Anderson, I'd like to request a long leave."
Seb was stunned.
Susan looked at Leon in surprise. Leon was super dedicated to his work and one of Seb's most trusted guys. If he was asking for a long leave, something big must've happened.
"How long do you need?" Seb asked.
"At least a month, maybe up to six months," Leon replied.
Seb frowned. "Why do you need such a long leave?"
"I want to go to Northstar City," Leon said.
Susan's eyes lit up, and she stepped forward. "Leon, are you going to find Isabella? Have you changed your mind?"
Leon looked at Susan. "Yeah, honestly, I never gave up on her."
Susan was so happy she almost cried. "That's amazing! Isabella's finally going to get her happy ending."
She had been worried about Isabella being alone in Northstar City, but Leon's decision put her mind at ease.
"So, Mr. Anderson, please approve my long leave," Leon said, looking at Seb.
"You know Prosperity Group can't do without you, and I can't either," Seb said, rubbing his eyebrow.
Seeing Seb hesitate, Susan stepped forward and nudged his shoulder. "Leon works all year without a break. Now that his kid is about to be born, as his boss, you should approve his leave, right?"
"I'm your husband; why are you so biased?" Seb glanced at Susan.
"I'm just being fair," Susan muttered softly.
Seb stood up and said seriously to Leon, "Isabella and the kid need you more, so I approve your long leave!"
