Chapter 746 Any Man Would Be Upset

Hearing about the 60% discount, Leon immediately smiled knowingly and said, "That's a stroke of genius."

"I figured you wouldn't want to stoop to begging for a discount," Seb said, a knowing smirk on his face.

"Please. That 5% rent increase would buy a hell of a lot more clothes than this," Leon said with a chuckle. "I'm not stupid."

Seb smiled slightly, then his gaze fell on Susan, who was walking out of the fitting room.

After two hours of shopping, Susan bought three dresses, three sets of lingerie, two suits, and two pairs of shoes.

Isabella bought even more: five dresses, four sets of lingerie, three suits, three pairs of shoes, and several individual items.

At checkout, Susan spent just under $3,000, while Isabella's total was nearly $6,000.

Just as Susan was about to hand her card to the cashier, a hand reached out with a black card.

Seeing the black premium card, Susan looked up and met Seb's eyes.

"I'll pay for you," Seb said, looking at Susan.

Susan naturally wouldn't let him pay for her, so she politely declined, "I brought my card. I'll pay for myself."

With that, Susan handed her card to the cashier.

At this point, Seb's face darkened. He took Susan's card back from the cashier and handed over his black card instead.

The cashier was a bit confused, not knowing whose card to swipe.

Susan immediately refused, "No, I'll pay for myself."

She tried to hand her card to the cashier again.

But Seb grabbed Susan's wrist and reiterated, "I said I'll pay!"

His expression was very serious, his eyes stern, and his attitude left no room for doubt.

Susan's hand was tightly held by him, and she couldn't move.

In the end, under Seb's strong insistence, the cashier swiped his black premium card.

When the cashier returned the receipt and card to Seb, Susan reached out to take the receipt.

She needed to know how much the clothes cost so she could pay him back later, avoiding any argument here and preventing others from seeing them as a joke.

But Seb was quicker, immediately taking the receipt and card and putting them in his pocket.

"Give me the receipt!" Susan couldn't help but shout.

"I'll give it to you later," Seb said to appease her.

Hearing this, Susan didn't argue further.

Meanwhile, at another checkout counter, Leon and Isabella were having a dispute.

"Swipe my card!" Leon said dominantly to the cashier.

"Swipe my card!" Isabella said with equal determination.

"What's the big deal? Let me buy you some clothes," Leon said, his voice laced with exasperation. "Why are you being so difficult?"

Isabella retorted, "Leon, don't try to fool me! I've seen plenty of men who spend a lot of money while dating, but once they break up, they present a long bill and demand every penny back."

"What do you mean by that? Are you saying I'm that kind of stingy, shameless man?" Leon's voice rose in anger.

Isabella stomped her foot and explained, "I'm not saying you're that kind of man. I'm just saying that if I spend a lot of your money over time, and if we ever break up, I might not be able to pay you back!"

Hearing this, Leon was even more annoyed. "So you're already thinking about breaking up with me?"

"No, why can't you understand what I'm saying?" Isabella was at a loss for words.

After a moment of hesitation, Leon suppressed his anger and said, "Alright, Isabella, let me make it clear. If we ever break up, I won't take back anything I bought for you, nor will I ask you for money. Is that clear?"

With that, Leon threw his card to the cashier and said, "Check out!"

"Yes, sir," the cashier immediately started processing the payment.

Seb and Susan witnessed the scene, and Susan couldn't help but chuckle.

Isabella's personality was like that; she always spoke her mind without any filter, and this time she had really upset Leon.

Leon was carrying over a dozen shopping bags of various sizes, but after leaving the mall, he didn't speak to Isabella at all.

Isabella, holding Susan's arm, pouted the whole time.

"You were too blunt earlier. Any man would be upset," Susan whispered to Isabella.

Isabella said in frustration, "I know I said the wrong thing, but it's not a big deal. Look at him, he's completely ignoring me."

"You were clearly in the wrong. Apologize to him later. Leon isn't a petty person; he won't hold it against you," Susan advised.

Meanwhile, Seb and Leon were also having a quiet conversation.

"Good thing you paid, or the lie about the 60% discount would have been exposed," Seb laughed.

Leon still looked grim. "Mr. Anderson, what have we gotten ourselves into with these women? They won't let us spend a dime on them, and they keep us on our toes."

Hearing this, Seb chuckled softly and patted Leon on the shoulder. "There's nothing we can do. We just like these two women."

"Sometimes I wonder if we have bad taste or really good taste," Leon sighed, but there was a hint of tenderness in his sigh.

"We have excellent taste," Seb corrected, a smile playing on his lips. "Because women like them? They're not for the faint of heart."

Leon nodded and smiled.

After getting in the car, Leon ignored Isabella, and Seb didn't speak to Susan either. Everyone seemed to be holding back their feelings.

Fifteen minutes later, the four of them, accompanied by their driver, arrived at the Hilton Hotel in Ivory City.

Seeing the Hilton Hotel sign, Susan felt a bit resistant because her story with Seb had started at a Hilton Hotel.

At the hotel lobby's front desk, Leon handed over all four of their driver's licenses to the sweet-smiling receptionist.

"Sir, how many rooms would you like to book?" the receptionist asked with a smile.

"Two rooms," Leon said.

Susan quickly stepped forward and said, "Three rooms."

"Four rooms," Isabella added.
