Chapter 624 You Are Not Fit to Be a Mother

The night was deep, and the city lights were shining brightly.

Susan kept calling Seb over and over again under the night sky, but no matter how many times she called, Seb just wouldn't pick up.

Susan knew he definitely wasn't missing her calls; he was deliberately not answering her calls. Stubbornly, she persisted, her finger hovering over the call button, almost tempted to wear down his phone battery.

However, she called for a full half hour, and he still didn't answer. In the end, Susan had no choice but to give up.

While calling, Susan headed to the villa. There wasn't a single light on inside, indicating that Seb hadn't come home.

Susan suddenly remembered that today in Seb's office, he had mentioned to Esme about having dinner together.

The kids weren't around, so he was definitely having dinner with Esme tonight. After dinner, he might even visit Esme's place and might not come home at all tonight.

The more Susan thought about it, the angrier she got, so she called Leon out of spite.

Susan was determined to see Seb tonight. She missed the kids so much that she had to make him bring them back as soon as possible.

Leon answered the call immediately.

"Ms. Wilson?"

Susan didn't bother with pleasantries and got straight to the point. "Leon, where is Seb right now?"

Leon hesitated slightly on the other end but then directly answered, "Mr. Anderson is having dinner with Ms. Davis at the revolving restaurant on the twentieth floor of the Elysian Heights Hotel. I estimate they'll leave in about half an hour, so if you're coming, you'd better hurry!"

Susan was surprised by Leon's straightforwardness and, after a brief pause, quickly said, "I understand, Leon. Thank you!"

With that, Susan hailed a cab and headed straight to the Elysian Heights Hotel.

Susan had initially thought it would be quite a hassle to get Leon to reveal Seb's whereabouts, but before she even asked, he had told her everything.

Susan vaguely felt that Leon was intentionally trying to reconcile her and Seb. She was grateful for Leon's good intentions, but reconciliation with Seb was impossible.

Susan knew that rushing over would interrupt their dinner, but she couldn't care less. She had to confront him and make him bring the kids back as soon as possible. She couldn't wait any longer.

Susan hurried to the revolving restaurant at the Elysian Heights Hotel and saw Leon waiting at the entrance.

Leon saw her and pointed inside.

Susan nodded at Leon and then turned to enter the revolving restaurant.

The restaurant was brightly lit, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of Maple Valley's nightscape.

Although there were quite a few guests in the restaurant, they were all whispering, and everyone was dressed very fashionably. This wasn't a place for ordinary people; it was said that a meal here could cost a month's salary for a regular person.

From a distance, Susan saw Seb and Esme sitting at a table, facing each other with exquisite dishes in front of them.

Esme was resting her chin on her hand, holding a glass of red wine, with a jacket draped over her shoulders. The restaurant's air conditioning was probably too strong, as Susan, dressed in a business suit, felt a chill on her calves.

Esme was smiling at Seb, her eyes full of allure, while Seb sat there woodenly, his gaze fixed on the night view outside the window, seemingly not in sync with Esme.

Susan's eyes fell on the silver jacket on Esme's shoulders. She recognized it as Seb's, indicating that he was still quite the gentleman.

But whose shoulders his jacket was on was no longer her concern. They were divorced, and they had no relationship anymore.

Susan reminded herself that she wasn't there to watch them have dinner; she came to question him about where he had taken Hayden and Spring.

The next moment, Susan walked straight over!

Esme was the first to notice Susan standing at their table and frowned. "You again?"

Ignoring the disdain in Esme's eyes, Susan glanced at her. "I'm not here for you." With that, her gaze fell on Seb's face.

Seb looked up at Susan, then picked up his wine glass and downed the red wine in one gulp.

Seeing that he was ignoring her, Susan directly asked, "Seb, where did you send Hayden and Spring?"

"They're on vacation abroad," Seb said nonchalantly.

"Vacation?" Susan's voice rose in disbelief. "You sent them abroad without a word to me? I'm their mother! I deserve to know!"

Seb coldly glanced at Susan and, with a mocking tone, said, "You're either preoccupied with a phantom pregnancy or other men. Do you even have the time or mind to care about the kids?"

Seb's sarcasm infuriated Susan. She glanced at Esme and retorted, "And you're any better? Sending Hayden and Spring abroad under the guise of a vacation while you're here dining with a beauty. Is your mind on the kids?"

This successfully angered Seb. He stood up abruptly and shouted, "You have no right to criticize me. You're not fit to be a mother!"

"And what right do you have to criticize me? You're not fit to be a father!" Susan retorted sharply.

As the tension escalated, Esme suddenly stood up and pointed at Susan. "Hey, who are you anyway?"

"None of your business!" Susan didn't even bother to look at Esme.

"I think you're just here to cause trouble. Leave now; you're not welcome here. How dare you speak to Mr. Anderson like that? You must be out of your mind!" Esme was furious. She had planned to invite Seb to her place for coffee after dinner, but Susan had ruined the atmosphere.

"I am bold, and you'd better shut up. I'll leave as soon as I finish talking to Seb. Don't worry, I won't disturb your time together!" Susan shot Esme a glare.

Esme was left speechless for a moment.

Susan then looked up at Seb, who was nearly a head taller than her, and firmly said, "Seb, arrange for Kathy and Mary to bring the kids back now!"
