Chapter 1067 Regret

In the afternoon after school, Cecilia ran into Violet.

Violet dragged Cecilia to her apartment for dinner. Cecilia couldn't refuse, so she followed Violet.

By the time Cecilia returned to the villa, it was already nine o'clock in the evening.

Cecilia hadn't received a call from Douglas today, so Daryl wouldn't be coming, which made Cecilia feel at ease.

Opening the villa's front door, Cecilia was still thinking about taking a bath and then continuing to read "One Hundred Years of Solitude" in bed. She found that Barry also had his own insights about this book and she was quite eager to discuss the book with him further.

After changing her shoes, Cecilia walked into the living room and vaguely saw someone sitting on the couch in the dark, with a cigarette between their fingers.

"Who?" Cecilia exclaimed in a low, frightened voice.

Then, she reached out and turned on the light.

The next moment, the chandelier illuminated the living room.

Cecilia then realized that the person sitting motionless on the couch, like a statue, was Daryl.

Seeing clearly that the person on the couch was Daryl, Cecilia clutched her chest and glanced at Daryl, complaining in her heart, 'Is he out of his mind. Sitting here without sound and light, he almost scaring the pants off of me!"

"Where did you go?" But the next moment, Daryl questioned first.

Hearing his questioning tone, Cecilia looked up and met his icy cold eyes, and couldn't help but shivered inside.

"I went to Violet's place, she invited me for dinner," Cecilia stammered for some reason.

Daryl knew Violet; he had met her before when he went to her apartment.

However, Daryl harshly stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray and said, "Really?"

"Yes." At this moment, Cecilia nodded calmly.

The next moment, Daryl suddenly stood up from the couch and approached Cecilia step by step.

At this moment, Cecilia clearly felt the anger on Daryl's face, and she kept retreating.

Cecilia didn't know what she had done to provoke him again, realizing he was looking at her with such a terrifying gaze.

Cecilia's mind was racing, thinking over and over, 'I haven't even seen him these past few days, how could I have angered him?'

While retreating, Cecilia's heel suddenly hit the coffee table, and she couldn't help but frown in pain.

The next moment, her wrist tightened, and Daryl's big hand grabbed her wrist.

Cecilia exclaimed in a low voice.

Her wrist really hurt; every time he grabbed her wrist, he used so much force.

"You are such a hypocritical woman, lying so openly. Do you lie often?" Daryl's eyes were filled with contempt as he looked at Cecilia's face.

Daryl's description of her as hypocritical made Cecilia very upset.

She couldn't help but question, "Where did I lie? I'm telling the truth, you can ask Violet if you don't believe me!"

"You two have already colluded, asking is pointless," Daryl said.

Hearing this, Cecilia retorted angrily, "If you think that way, there's nothing I can do."

Cecilia's indifferent attitude made Daryl even angrier, and he tightened his grip on her wrist. "You live off me now. I didn't support you so you could flirt with other men!"

Suddenly hearing this, Cecilia innocently stared at Daryl's angry eyes. "What do you mean? Who am I flirting with? I..."

At this point, Cecilia suddenly thought of the scene of her having lunch with Barry today.

Seeing the anger on Daryl's face, Cecilia seemed to understand. 'No wonder he is so furious, did he see I having lunch with Barry today?'

Seeing Cecilia suddenly stop talking, Daryl sneered. "What? Remember now? Wasn't I right?"

Cecilia knew Daryl had misunderstood, so she quickly explained, "You misunderstood, Barry is a classmate from my department. I borrowed a copy of 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' from him, and today we were just discussing the book's plot."

"'One Hundred Years of Solitude'?" Daryl laughed in anger.

Because Cecilia's excuse was so lame, a man and a woman discussing "One Hundred Years of Solitude"? He couldn't believe that.

"What do you mean?" Daryl's sarcastic tone made Cecilia glare at him in anger.

"What do I mean? Don't forget our agreement, for at least this year, you can't get too close to other men!" Daryl emphasized.

Cecilia sneered. "Barry and I are just ordinary classmates, there's nothing between us. Yes, we had lunch together, but the restaurant is a public place, completely above board!"

Cecilia's attitude infuriated Daryl, and he gritted his teeth as he tightened his grip on Cecilia's wrist, "You were laughing and chatting, with eyes only for each other, and you call there is nothing between you? Do you think I'm a fool?"

After saying that, Daryl gave a hard push.

Cecilia's body instantly lost balance, and she screamed as she fell to the ground.

For a moment, Cecilia frowned in pain.

Seeing Cecilia fall, Daryl's eyes showed a hint of regret.

However, when Cecilia looked at Daryl, he immediately withdrew his gaze and domineeringly said, "Listen to me, starting tomorrow, you don't need to go to school anymore!"

Hearing this, Cecilia, who was sitting on the floor in pain and unable to get up, immediately frowned and asked, "Why?"

"You still have the nerve to ask? You're not going to school, you're just going to seduce men," Daryl said, then turned and left.

"You can't do this, I can't not go to school," Cecilia retorted.

She came to Northstar City to get her master's degree as quickly as possible, then returned home to work, reduce her family's burden, and let her family live a good life.

Hearing Cecilia's words behind him, Daryl instantly turned around, pointed at Cecilia, and warned, "You better listen to me!"

After saying that, Daryl left with a gloomy face.

After Daryl left, Cecilia struggled to stand up by holding onto the couch.

She held her waist, which had been hurt from the collision, and slowly sat on the couch.

She hoped Daryl was just angry for a moment and wouldn't really stop her from going to school.

Cecilia sat on the couch, very worried.

The next morning, Cecilia got dressed and went downstairs.

As she went downstairs, she couldn't help but touch her waist, feeling that it still hurt.

Although Daryl's warning was still ringing in her ears, Cecilia still wanted to go to school.
