Chapter 136 Had an Attack
After a lovey-dovey ten minutes with Seb, Susan finally saw him off. Luckily, his anger towards Isabella had faded.
When Susan got back upstairs, Isabella said, "What work? He just wants you to rest early!"
Susan smiled, "You know it, so why say it out loud?"
"Ugh, I'm just a third wheel, lighting up your world every day," Isabella grumbled, grabbing her pajamas and heading to the bathroom.
Susan chuckled, thinking, 'If Isabella wasn't around, I'd never have considered the CPA exam. Every study session with Seb would just turn into sex.'
Time flew by, and a month passed quickly.
With Seb's strict guidance, both Susan and Isabella improved a lot in both theory and practice.
After the CPA exam, they felt good about it and anxiously awaited the results, feeling both excited and worried.
With the exam over, Susan felt relieved. One day, she went shopping and bought some clothes.
As she approached her front door, she saw Cynthia's striking figure.
Seeing Cynthia, Susan frowned. She knew Cynthia was up to no good.
Susan pretended not to see her, took out her keys, and said, "Please move, I need to open the door."
Cynthia didn't move and raised her hand to slap Susan!
Quickly, Susan grabbed Cynthia's wrist and glared at her, "What do you want to do?"
"I'm going to hit you, you shameless bitch!" Cynthia tried to break free.
Susan pushed her hard, making Cynthia stumble and almost fall, but she caught herself on the wall.
Pointing at Cynthia, Susan said, "If you keep talking nonsense, don't blame me for being rude!"
Seeing that insults didn't scare Susan, Cynthia changed her demeanor. With tears in her eyes, she knelt in front of Susan.
"What are you doing?" Susan, flustered, took a step back.
"Ms. Wilson, I'm begging you, please give Seb back to me! I can't live without him!" Cynthia pleaded tearfully, looking completely different from moments ago.
Susan felt overwhelmed. No one had ever knelt before her, especially not Cynthia. She couldn't process it.
"Can you get up first?" Susan thought if worse came to worst, she'd just fight Cynthia. But seeing Cynthia's pitiful state, her heart softened.
"If you don't agree, I won't get up." Cynthia clung to Susan, her stubbornness evident.
Cynthia's words snapped Susan back to reality. Cynthia was trying to guilt-trip her, and she couldn't fall for it.
Susan said, "Seb is a person, not an object. I can't just give him to you. You know his personality better than I do, don't you?"
Cynthia and Seb had grown up together, so she should know his character better. He wasn't easily swayed by others.
Cynthia, desperate, grabbed Susan's clothes and pleaded, "Ms. Wilson, if you stop seeing Seb, he'll come back to me. Just say you don't love him. He's too proud to come back to you!"
Susan stepped back, shocked. She couldn't believe Cynthia's nonsensical request. Why should she give Seb up? Cynthia must be out of her mind or think Susan was a fool. But Susan wasn't.
Susan firmly replied, "I'm sorry, I can't do that. I love Seb, and he loves me. He's told me about your past, but it's over. You need to move on and find someone who loves you back. Clinging to this won't bring you happiness."
She walked around Cynthia and started to unlock the door.
Behind her, Cynthia stood up and shouted, "Seb loves me! I was his first woman. What do you have to compare with me? Back off, or I'll make your life miserable!"
Susan turned to see Cynthia's furious face. She gave her a disdainful look, not wanting to argue, and turned to open the door.
Suddenly, she heard a strange sound.
Susan turned to see Cynthia on the ground, convulsing, her limbs immobile, but her eyes seemed somewhat normal.
"What's wrong with you?" Susan asked, scared to touch her.
"Medicine, medicine!" Cynthia managed to say.
"Where's the medicine?" Susan was at a loss.
Then she remembered Seb mentioning Cynthia had severe asthma.
Seeing Cynthia's condition, Susan found a small bottle of medicine in Cynthia's bag and sprayed it on her nose. She wasn't sure if it was right, but it was the best she could do.
Panicking, Susan called an ambulance. It arrived quickly and took Cynthia away. Out of concern, Susan went with her to the hospital.
No one could be more unlucky. Cynthia had threatened and harassed her, and now she had to take her to the hospital.
Cynthia was taken into the emergency room, and Susan immediately notified Seb, waiting for him to come.
Soon, Seb rushed in with Leon following behind.
"What happened? Where's Cynthia?" Seb asked, frowning.
Susan glanced at him and replied, "She came to my house, tried to hit me, then begged me to give you up. I didn't agree. She got agitated and had an attack, so I called an ambulance. She's in the emergency room now. I found her medication in her bag and gave it to her the first time, so I think she'll be okay."
Seb looked Susan up and down with concern. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Susan shrugged.
