Chapter 646 Go Find Seb
"Rylee suddenly brought it up just now, and she seemed a bit upset," Anouk replied.
"Did she leave suddenly because of this?" Gavin speculated.
Anouk hesitated for a moment, then quickly grabbed her phone and said, "No, I need to call Andrew right away."
"Don't call him, he's on a business trip. If he knows you're in the hospital, he'll definitely worry!" Gavin stepped forward to stop her.
But Anouk stubbornly said, "I need to tell Andrew that Rylee is upset about his ex-girlfriend. He needs to comfort Rylee. We can't just watch them fight."
Gavin could only nod in agreement and said, "Then tell him not to worry. You've already had the surgery, and you're fine now."
Anouk finally got through to Andrew and briefly explained her situation before directly telling him that Rylee was upset about his ex-girlfriend.
Andrew, who had just gotten off the plane, received the call from Anouk and was stunned. He nervously asked over the phone, "Mom, be clear. Does Rylee know I have an ex-girlfriend, or does she know my ex-girlfriend is Susan?"
Andrew's question confused Anouk. She thought for a moment and then said, "She mentioned Susan specifically. I assume she knows."
Hearing this, Andrew was dumbfounded. He turned in circles, covered his head with his hand, and after a while, said, "How did she find out?"
"I don't know. She stayed with me in the hospital all night and only went back to sleep for half a day today. When she returned, she suddenly brought up Susan," Anouk thought and answered.
Upon hearing this, Andrew's eyes narrowed. After a few seconds, he suddenly asked, "Mom, did Rylee see something in my drawer?"
"Gavin and I weren't home, so we don't know. Andrew, don't worry too much. Everyone has a past. You haven't spoken to Susan in years. Rylee might be a bit spoiled, but she's a good girl. She paid for my hospital bills, you know. Just be patient with her, give her some reassurance. That's all women need." Anouk reassured Andrew.
"Mom, I got it. I'll come back to see you later," Andrew said and hung up the phone.
"Andrew?" Anouk wanted to say more, but Andrew had already hung up.
Rylee cried all the way back to Maple Valley. As she approached the city, her phone on the seat suddenly rang.
Rylee was still immersed in shock and sadness, not in the mood to answer the phone, so she let it ring.
Over the years, Rylee had felt very happy because of Andrew's companionship. But she never expected that Andrew had someone else in his heart. He had been with her just to study abroad and achieve success. How ironic?
Rylee's tears almost dried up along the way.
The phone on the seat kept ringing. It wasn't until she got off the highway that Rylee picked it up.
With swollen eyes, she stared at the flashing phone screen for a while before resolutely answering the call.
"Rylee? Where are you? Why didn't you answer my calls?" Andrew's anxious voice came through as soon as the call connected.
"You have time to call me now?" Rylee's voice was hoarse.
Back then, they had short separations, and he would call her several times a day. But this time, during his business trip to Skyhaven, he hadn't called her once. She had always been the one to call him.
Looking back, she realized his behavior had shifted subtly after she transferred half of her shares to him.
Lately, he had been saying he was busy, coming home late, speaking to her less patiently, and even the frequency of their lovemaking had decreased.
She blamed herself for being too foolish. It wasn't until she saw his diary today that she realized it was because he had now achieved success.
Thinking about his success made Rylee's heart even more conflicted. Was he planning to divorce her and go back to Susan?
"Rylee, I'm sorry. I've been incredibly busy at Skyhaven. But now I'm back. I'll ask Seb for a few days off to spend time with you," Andrew tried to comfort Rylee.
"No need. You should go home and see your mom first. She fell and broke her hip. She just had surgery," Rylee said, tears streaming down her face.
Andrew laughed and said, "I just called Mom. She said she's fine, and Dad is taking good care of her. She told me not to rush back. I think I'll spend a couple of days with you first."
"No need. I don't want you to stay with me!" Rylee said angrily.
"Rylee, where are you? I'll come to you!" Andrew was losing patience.
"I'm going to see Seb. I have something I want him to see," Rylee said.
Rylee had already weighed it in her mind. She had to tell Seb about this. She couldn't just watch Andrew and Susan take everything from the Anderson Family and hurt their feelings.
She hated Andrew, but she hated Susan even more. Why? Why did it have to be Susan? This woman was truly despicable. She would do anything for money!
She had to show Seb the notebook. She wanted Seb to see Susan's true nature.
"Rylee, don't do anything stupid. Don't show it to Seb," Andrew said anxiously.
Rylee was silent for a moment before saying, "Do you know what I'm showing Seb? Why are you so anxious?"
Andrew knew Rylee was testing him. He frowned and asked directly, "Rylee, did you find something at my house?"
"Is there anything I don't know?" Rylee asked with a cold smile.
"Rylee, I need to see you right away. We need to talk face to face!" Andrew started to lose his temper.
In all their years of marriage, he had never spoken to her like this. Rylee's heart still loved him, and she couldn't change that.
The next moment, Rylee suddenly asked, "Andrew, did you ever love me?"
"Rylee, if I don't love you, who else would I love? Stop overthinking, okay?" Andrew said anxiously.
"I am not overthinking. I saw it all in your diary." Rylee's emotions began to escalate.
