Chapter 831 A Desperate Battle

Dean hopped into the car, and as soon as the door clicked shut, the driver hit the gas.

Susan noticed Dean's creepy grin and felt a surge of panic. She reached for the door handle, ready to bail even if it meant tumbling out of a moving car. But the door was locked, and her heart sank.

Dean seemed to get a kick out of her reaction. He loosened his tie, grabbed her hand, and planted a kiss on it.

Susan felt like puking and wanted to slap him silly.

But she knew fighting back would only egg him on. She had to play it smart this time.

She pulled her hand away and, with a voice she barely recognized as her own, said, "Mr. Palmer, can't you be a bit more gentlemanly?"

Even she was surprised at how sweetly she managed to say it, giving herself the chills.

Her mind was racing, trying to figure out a way out of this mess.

Dean, hearing her change in tone, looked thrilled.

He rubbed his hands together. "Come on, darling, we're both adults. Why play hard to get?"

He leaned in closer, trying to touch her.

Susan scooted away and forced a smile. "Even if we're adults, shouldn't we find a proper place? We can't do it here, can we?"

She shot him a look that made him even more eager.

"Alright, how about a hotel?" Dean asked, practically drooling.

Susan glanced at her phone, thinking a hotel might be her best shot at getting help. She smiled. "I only do five-star hotels."

Dean, grinning like a fool, told the driver to head to a five-star hotel.

Susan felt like she was sitting on a bed of nails. Dean had one arm around her shoulder and the other creeping towards her thigh.

She quickly grabbed his hand and smiled. "Just a few more minutes. Can't you wait?"

Dean's gaze lingered on her breast and legs, stripping her bare with his eyes.

She felt his touch was revolting. If she hadn't been holding back, she might've puked all over him.

Finally, the car pulled up to a swanky five-star hotel.

The driver opened the door, and Dean got out first. Susan barely had a chance to think before Dean grabbed her wrist.

She looked up and felt a wave of despair.

This was the Hilton Hotel again!

Why was she so unlucky here?

While she was momentarily stunned, Dean wrapped his arm around her shoulder and grinned. "See, darling? I wasn't lying. The Hilton Hotel, the fanciest place in Maple Valley. Even a basic room here costs a fortune. I'll get us a suite with a double bathtub. Perfect for a relaxing soak!"

Susan felt a wave of desperation wash over her. This place was filled with too many memories.

She wanted to bolt but suddenly thought of a risky plan. It was all or nothing.

She forced a smile at Dean.

Dean, grinning, wrapped his arm around her shoulder and led her into the Hilton Hotel lobby.

While Dean checked in at the counter, Susan pretended to look around, quickly pulling out her phone to send a text to Seb.

Susan: [Mr. Palmer brought me to the Hilton Hotel. Come save me, hurry!]

A minute passed with no response, and Susan's anxiety grew.

"Sir, is the suite on the 20th floor okay?" the receptionist asked Dean with a smile.

"Yes," Dean started to say.

To buy some time, Susan quickly interjected, "Is there a higher floor? I love the night view."

"Yes, let's get a higher floor!" Dean agreed, eager to please.

"How about the 32nd floor?" The receptionist checked the computer and then looked up.

"That'll do." Susan nodded, her eyes glued to her phone, but still no messages.

"Sir, may I have your driver's license?" the receptionist asked.

"Sure." As Dean reached into his pocket, Susan's phone finally vibrated.

She quickly opened it and saw a new message.

Seb: [Have a wonderful night.]

Susan was livid. If Seb were in front of her, she would've smashed her phone on his head.

But she forced herself to stay calm.

She quickly typed another message.

Susan: [I'm at the Hilton Hotel on the 32nd floor. If you don't want Hayden and Spring to be ashamed of me, come quickly!]

She knew she had to hit him where it hurt to get him to act.

Although Susan felt deeply ashamed to threaten him with Hayden and Spring, she truly had no other recourse and resorted to this extreme measure.

By this time, the receptionist handed the room key to Dean.

Dean took the key and, smiling, wrapped his arm around Susan's shoulder. "Impatient, aren't you?"

"You're the impatient one," Susan shot back, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She couldn't believe she was playing along.

"Don't worry, we have all night," Dean said, leading her towards the elevator.

"You said it, don't rush!" Susan pointed at Dean.

Blinded by lust, Dean agreed to everything she said, while Susan just wanted to find a place to throw up.

As soon as the elevator doors closed, Dean started to grope her.

Susan quickly pushed him away and pointed at the elevator camera. "Behave yourself!"
