Chapter 652 Insulting You
"Ms. Wilson..." Kathy was just about to say something.
Susan grabbed Kathy's hand, asking, "Kathy, who are these people? Why won't they let me in?"
Kathy glanced at the two bodyguards behind her and said, "Mr. Anderson sent them. No unauthorized persons are allowed into the villa. By the way, Ms. Anderson has moved back in and said neither Andrew nor you are allowed inside."
Understanding slammed into Susan like a physical blow.
Because Seb had found out about her past relationship with Andrew and believed they had been conspiring together, he was now taking steps to keep her away from the children.
Initially, Susan had taken a calm and indifferent attitude towards the matter, but she had forgotten about Hayden and Spring. Seb, being so proud and arrogant, would never allow her to see the children if he thought she had colluded with another man to deceive him.
For a moment, Susan felt at a loss.
"Ms. Wilson, what did you do to offend Mr. Anderson this time? If it's not a big deal, just apologize and get it over with. It's not good for you to be kept from seeing Hayden and Spring. They've been asking me when you're coming to see them!" Kathy said, frowning.
At the mention of Hayden and Spring, Susan became even more agitated. They were her vulnerabilities.
Looking up at the villa in front of her, knowing the children were inside but she couldn't see them, Susan felt very conflicted.
"Where is he now?" Susan asked urgently.
"Who? Oh, he went out early this morning. I'm not sure. Mr. Anderson and Ms. Anderson have both been on edge lately, quick to anger…" Kathy replied, frowning.
Hearing this, Susan handed the bags she was holding to Kathy. "These are for Hayden and Spring. If they ask about me, just say I had to go on a business trip and will definitely come to see them in a few days!"
"Okay." Kathy quickly nodded and took the bags.
Then, Susan hurried towards the Prosperity Group building while taking out her phone to make a call.
She called Seb's phone several times, but no one answered.
Susan knew he was deliberately ignoring her calls, so she called Leon instead.
The phone rang only twice before Leon answered.
"Ms. Wilson?" Leon's voice came from the other end.
"Leon, do you know where Seb is? I need to find him urgently," Susan said quickly, her voice a bit anxious.
Leon hesitated for a moment before answering, "I'm not with Mr. Anderson right now, but I think he should be in his office."
"Got it, thanks." Susan hung up the phone, hailed a taxi, and headed to the Prosperity Group.
Entering the Prosperity Group building, the lobby was empty except for security and staff on duty.
Susan went straight to the elevator and up to the top floor. Standing in front of the CEO's office, she raised her hand to knock but then frowned and pushed the door open instead.
The door to the CEO's office was unlocked, indicating Seb was indeed there.
Looking towards the desk, she saw it was empty. Raising her eyes, she saw a tall figure standing by the floor-to-ceiling window with his back to her.
"Don't you know you should knock before entering?" Seb's cold voice rang out.
The next moment, Seb turned around, his sharp eyes staring at Susan standing at the door.
Susan stepped inside, smelling a strong scent of smoke and seeing the smoke rising from Seb's fingers.
"Knocking is for people who have manners. For someone as overbearing as you, it's unnecessary!" Susan's tone turned cold.
At this, Seb's mouth curled into a cold smile. "You need something from me, yet you're so arrogant."
Hearing this, Susan frowned. "You knew I was coming?"
He had his back to her earlier and hadn't seen her, but his tone clearly indicated he knew it was her.
"You're later than I expected," Seb said, walking to the desk and extinguishing his cigarette in the ashtray.
Susan didn't want to argue with him. She took a few steps forward, standing beside him. "I am Hayden and Spring's mother. Even though you have custody, I have the right to visit them. Tell your goons to let me see my children."
Seb looked at Susan with disdain. "I have serious doubts about your character, Susan. Your influence on my children would be…detrimental. As long as they're still young, still impressionable, I won't allow it."
Hearing this, Susan was furious. Pointing at Seb, she said, "What gives you the right to question my character and morals? Seb, don't insult me!"
"Insult you? Hmph." Seb snorted coldly, walked to the other side of the desk, opened a drawer, and took out the notebook, slamming it in front of Susan.
"This is the evidence of your poor character and morals! You are insulting yourself, not me." Seb pointed to the notebook on the desk.
Looking down at the notebook in front of her, Susan frowned.
She hesitantly picked up the notebook and squinted. "What is this?"
"Why don't you take a look?" Seb said arrogantly, then turned and sat in the swivel chair behind the desk, his face dark.
Susan suspiciously opened the notebook. As soon as she saw the handwriting, she knew it was Andrew's.
Sure enough, the notebook was a detailed record of her relationship with Andrew.
During her three years with Andrew, Susan had no idea he had written such a thing.
The diary was very detailed, documenting their entire relationship, including their first hand-holding and first kiss. Fortunately, she and Andrew had never made love, or it would have been mortifying.
The notebook even contained an old photo of her. She was surprised Andrew had kept it all these years.
On the last page of the notebook was a sentence: [Hope that one day, when I make something of myself, you'll still be waiting for me.]
Seeing this, Susan knew Andrew had been sincere back then, but now it seemed laughable. Someone like Andrew, what did he know about true love? He probably loved himself the most.
