Seeing Isabella's surprised expression, Susan replied, "I just heard from Seb yesterday. You have Milo with you, and Leon probably didn't want you to worry, so he only shared the good news. It's been tough on him too, so try to be more understanding."
Hearing this, Isabella remained silent.
She didn't know how many things Leon was hiding from her. There were just so many things she was unaware of.
So, Isabella felt a bit more resentful towards Leon. Why couldn't he tell her everything? Why couldn't they face things together?
However, her resentment towards Leon had faded. He must have been bearing a lot on his own, and she just didn't know about it.
After Isabella moved into Susan's house, the news, newspapers, and various media outlets in Maple Valley quickly reported the merger between Prosperity Group and Johnson Corporation. It was explosive news in the Maple Valley business community.
Susan, Isabella, and the kids stayed home and didn't go out. Even Hayden didn't go to school for a few days. There were several security guards in black suits standing guard all the time at the door, and the house was equipped with professional bodyguards. The atmosphere was quite tense.
During the day, the kids played and roughhoused, and time passed quickly.
At night, when it was quiet and the kids were asleep, they two each held their pillows, worrying about their husbands.
"It's been several days, why haven't they come back?" Compared to Susan's constant nagging these days, Isabella finally couldn't help but speak up for the first time.
Actually, she had been worried about Leon all along, but she had been too stubborn to say anything.

"Don't use Milo as an excuse. You clearly can't let go," Susan teased.

Isabella lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, her mind filled with images of Leon working hard.
Three days later, Isabella and Susan saw a news report on TV. The vice CEO of Johnson Corporation, Bronte's father, was arrested by the police for embezzling public funds and misappropriating company finances. Due to the large amount involved, he was likely to be sentenced to life imprisonment.
Seeing this news, Isabella knew that things had settled. Leon and Seb's merger had succeeded, and she felt relieved.
Two days later, one evening, Susan suddenly received a phone call.
After a few words, Susan hung up and excitedly told Isabella, who was sitting on the couch, "Seb's assistant called. Seb and Leon are on their way home and will be here in about 15 minutes!"
Hearing this, Isabella felt a surge of joy. But her face remained calm, only smiling slightly.
After all, it had been half a month since they last saw each other. Susan quickly got up, touched her hair, and smiled. "I'm going upstairs to change. I haven't been out these days, and I've been looking disheveled. You should go freshen up too!"
Hearing this, Isabella frowned and said, "Why should I dress up?"
Susan patted Isabella's hand. "Even if it's not for Leon, you shouldn't be too sloppy in front of friends. Hurry up, change your clothes, and fix your hair!"
Then, Susan pulled Isabella up and pushed her into her room.
Isabella stood in front of the mirror, looking at herself in casual clothes with slightly messy hair. She did look quite casual.
Then, Isabella opened her wardrobe and, in five minutes, picked out an off-white lace dress that wasn't too formal but not too casual either. She brushed her hair and was contemplating whether to put on some light makeup when she heard Susan's voice outside. "Are you ready?"
"Coming." Isabella put down the lipstick, thinking, 'No need to put on makeup; I am not dressing up to please my beloved.'
The next moment, Isabella turned and left the room.
As soon as she stepped out, she was taken aback. Compared to her own modest attire, Susan was wearing a black off-shoulder long dress, almost like an evening gown. Her hair was styled to one side, and she wore a pair of beautiful teardrop earrings with light makeup, looking very pretty.
"You're really going all out," Isabella couldn't help but exclaim.
"We haven't seen each other for almost half a month. I really miss him," Susan said, not hiding her longing for Seb.
"You two are definitely going to be lovey-dovey tonight," Isabella teased.
"You can be too," Susan said, placing her hand on Isabella's shoulder.
"Forget it, we're still separated," Isabella said seriously.
"Then why not change that tonight? Let me tell you, with so many people in the house, we don't have an extra room for Leon. So, tonight, you and Leon will have to share a room!" Susan laughed.
Hearing this, Isabella immediately frowned and said nervously, "How can that be?"
"Seb and I share a room, Hayden has one, Spring has one, Kathy has one, Mary has one, you and Milo have one, and the maid has one. That's seven rooms, all occupied. If you don't want to share, Leon will have to sleep on the couch!" Susan said, staring at Isabella.
"It's none of my business where he sleeps.," Isabella said stubbornly.
At this moment, there was a sound of footsteps outside.
Then came Kathy's voice. "Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Anderson is back!"
Hearing this, Isabella felt a bit nervous.
The next moment, a tall figure appeared at the entrance.
