Chapter 30

On Friday afternoon, Prosperity Group let out early, and four tour buses were parked out front. Employees were boarding one by one.

Sitting on the bus, Susan kept looking outside. Most of the execs were already here, but no sign of Seb.

"Is he coming or not?" Isabella next to her was getting impatient.

"I don't know," Susan replied, frowning.

"I don't think he will. The bus leaves in five minutes. My money!" Isabella said, covering her face in frustration.

"Alright, I'll treat you to lunch for the whole month." Susan thought, 'I never finish my meals at Velvet Sky Bistro, and Seb wouldn't mind if I brought some back.'

"Mr. Anderson is here!" Suddenly, a woman's cheer reached their ears.

Susan looked up and saw a tall figure in a black suit walking over, followed by Leon and Ellie with luggage.

"He really came, we won!" Isabella excitedly grabbed Susan's arm.

Susan noticed Seb seemed to glance their way, his gaze gentle. That look made her heart flutter.

'What's happening to me? Why am I feeling this way?' Seeing Seb made her heart warm. She didn't care about winning the bet; her heart raced at the sight of him.

"Mr. Anderson is spending two days and two nights with us. Just thinking about it is exciting!" The female employees were all giggling.

Isabella was counting money. A few minutes later, she handed a thick stack of cash to Susan. "You won four thousand dollars!"

Susan took the stack, suddenly feeling uneasy. 'Is this cheating? Am I using Seb as a bet?' she thought.

Then, something even more surprising happened. Seb, along with Leon and Ellie, boarded their bus. The female employees' eyes widened, and the male employees loosened their ties, feeling a bit nervous.

Seb, Leon, and Ellie sat in the VIP section at the front. The bus fell silent; no one dared to speak loudly.

Susan's seat allowed her to see Seb's back. She couldn't help but glance at him a few more times before looking outside. She told herself, 'Why are you nervous? It's just a bus ride. Don't be like those women. It's not like you haven't slept with Seb before. It's no big deal.'

Just as the bus was about to start, a woman's shout suddenly came.

"Wait for me! Don't leave!" Amelia ran over, pulling a suitcase and wearing high heels.

Seeing Amelia, Isabella frowned. "Why is she here? She's not even a Prosperity Group employee."

"Someone must have invited her," Susan suddenly felt a pang of jealousy.

'Could Seb have invited Amelia? If it wasn't a company invitation, Amelia wouldn't have known about the trip, right?' she thought.

"My good mood is completely ruined," Isabella said.

"Just pretend you didn't see her," Susan smiled lightly, telling herself not to mind.

After boarding, Amelia sat right next to Seb, making all the women on the bus envious.

The bus started, and Amelia began fawning over Seb. She handed him water, fruit, and snacks, but Seb declined them all. Amelia was undeterred, though. She kept telling jokes and finding things to talk about, laying it on thick.

"She's so annoying," Isabella whispered to Susan.

Susan glanced at Amelia and Seb's backs. "Just hang in there, we're almost there."

After a two-hour ride, they arrived at Moon Bay Resort.

Moon Bay Resort was nestled by the water and surrounded by mountains. The scenery was beautiful, and the facilities were top-notch. As soon as they got off the bus, they felt the fresh air.

Each bus had a leader, and Susan and the others received their hotel room cards. Seb, Leon, and Ellie, of course, were led to the VIP section.

Amelia shamelessly followed Seb with her suitcase, clearly planning to stay in the VIP section.

"What a disgrace," Isabella said.

"Aren't you tired after the bus ride? Let's go to our room," Susan said, trying to stay composed despite feeling down.

"By the way, do you want to hand your reflection to Mr. Anderson personally? It's a chance to interact with him," Isabella teased, pulling out the reflection she had written for Susan.

"Do you think I'm like Amelia?" Susan shook her head.

"But Mr. Anderson did ask you to hand it in before the weekend, didn't he?" Isabella reminded her.

Susan looked at the reflection in her hand, feeling troubled. She really didn't want to go to the VIP section and see Seb, especially with Amelia around.

Seeing her dilemma, Isabella smiled. "How about I deliver it for you?"

"You're a lifesaver," Susan said, clasping her hands together in gratitude.

Isabella took the reflection and left. Susan waited for about 15 minutes before Isabella returned.

"Susan, you have no idea how amazing the VIP section is. The hot springs, the villas, it's indescribable!" Isabella exclaimed, gesturing excitedly.

"Did you deliver the reflection?" Susan asked, not caring about the VIP section since she wasn't staying there.

"I gave it to Leon. He said he'd hand it to Mr. Anderson personally," Isabella replied.

Susan felt relieved. It was a work matter, and she and Seb always kept work and personal matters separate. In fact, it seemed like they had no personal interactions at all.

Just then, a colleague called everyone downstairs to gather. Susan and Isabella quickly changed and went down.

As night fell, the employees of Prosperity Group attended the dinner party in formal attire.

Susan wore a light blue V-neck chiffon dress, a silver hairpin in her hair, and light makeup, attracting the attention of many male colleagues.

Seb appeared shortly after, still in his black suit. Despite the monotonous attire, he captivated all the women present. Wherever he went, their eyes followed.
