Seeing Daryl suddenly burst into laughter, Cecilia glared at him and said, "What are you laughing at?"
Daryl stopped laughing and said seriously, "Nothing. You should control your emotions; getting too emotional isn't good for the baby."
Hearing this, Cecilia reached out to touch her not-so-flat belly.
At that moment, Cecilia saw a fleeting tenderness in Daryl's eyes, which made her shiver involuntarily.
Then, Cecilia turned and sat on the edge of the bed, lowering her head slightly.

After a while, Daryl suddenly said, "I've already convinced Skylar to drop the matter with Vogue Vista and you. Vogue Vista has also apologized to Skylar, so that issue is settled. From now on, make sure you have no contact with Skylar. Disappearing from her world might actually be a good thing."
Hearing this, Cecilia looked at Daryl in surprise and said after a long pause, "But I was wronged. Does that mean this incident will be a stain on my life forever?"
Daryl gazed into Cecilia's aggrieved eyes and advised, "Cecilia, the matter is settled. Try to move on and don't stir up more trouble."

Don't overthink; taking care of the baby is the most important."
Hearing this, Cecilia's heart tightened, and she coldly said to Daryl's back, "Then let me congratulate you on your wedding in advance!"
Hearing this, Daryl's back stiffened, but he resolutely opened the door and walked out.
Shortly after, the sound of the front door closing echoed, and tears streamed down Cecilia's face.
In the afternoon, Cecilia finally went out, but Freya had to accompany her. Cecilia had no choice; otherwise, she couldn't leave the house.
Cecilia had arranged to meet Susan at a cozy café.
Susan was a bit surprised to see Cecilia bring Freya.
Cecilia had Freya sit at another table and ordered her a coffee before sitting down to chat with Susan.
"When did Freya come to Maple Valley?" Susan asked, surprised.
Hearing this, Cecilia frowned. "Daryl sent her over to take care of me, but she's also here to keep an eye on me."
Hearing this, Susan frowned and asked, "Does he know about your pregnancy?"
Cecilia nodded.
"So what does Daryl plan to do?" Susan asked urgently.

"What is this? Does he want to enjoy two women?" Susan said angrily.
"He just wants the baby. I could refuse him, but he won't let me take it away," Cecilia said bitterly.
Susan thought for a moment and then said indignantly, "Cecilia, if you need my help, just say the word. Daryl can't control everything in Maple Valley!"
Hearing this, Cecilia looked at Susan gratefully and said, "Susan, this is a private matter between Daryl and me. I don't want to drag you into it. Honestly, I don't know what to do right now. I think I'll just focus on having the baby first. But I will never be Daryl's mistress. At most, he'll be the father of my kid."
When she said the last sentence, Cecilia's eyes were very determined.

Hearing this, Susan nodded.

Cecilia took out her phone and saw it was Barry calling.

"Cecilia, I have something important to discuss with you. Where are you now? I'll come to you." Barry's voice was urgent on the phone.
Hearing this, Cecilia glanced at Susan and said, "I'm at Café Elysium on Maple Avenue. Come find me."
"Okay, I'll be there in 15 minutes." With that, Barry hung up.
"What's going on?" Susan asked, looking at Cecilia.
Cecilia said, "Barry mentioned last time that he would help me investigate the matter of the creepy doll sent to Skylar. He sounded urgent just now, so maybe there's a lead."
Hearing this, Susan said, "That's good news. I'll leave now and contact you later."
"Alright, Susan, take it easy on the way." Cecilia said, looking at Susan's noticeable belly.
Noticing Cecilia's gaze, Susan touched her belly and smiled. "Got it. You be careful too."
"Okay." After seeing Susan off, Cecilia sat back down to wait for Barry.
A while later, Cecilia saw Barry arrive, looking travel-worn.
Seeing the sweat on Barry's forehead, Cecilia smiled and said, "I ordered you a coffee and got you some tissues!"
Cecilia placed a pack of tissues in front of Barry.
Barry smiled, took a tissue, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and said, "Thanks."
"So, do you have news about the creepy doll?" Cecilia asked, looking at Barry as he sipped his coffee.
Barry took a sip of coffee and then urgently replied, "Our initial judgment was correct. The creepy doll was secretly placed in the gift box by Arabella."
