Chapter 372 Embarrassment

Amelia was fuming. She shot a glare at the chick sitting across from Ethan, then stormed over and yanked her hair, yelling, "You trying to steal my man, bitch? You know he's got a fiancée? I'll mess you up!"

Then, Amelia slapped the girl right across the face.

The poor girl, totally clueless about what was going down, screamed in pain and kept begging for help. She probably never dealt with anything like this before and was completely helpless.

Ethan jumped in, grabbing Amelia's hand, and warned, "Amelia, let go, now!"

"You're still defending this homewrecker? I'll scratch her face up and no guy will ever look at her again!" Amelia got even more pissed seeing Ethan protect the girl. She reached out and clawed at the girl's face with her sharp nails.

The girl screamed in agony, her cries echoing through the whole restaurant.

Susan clutched her chest, her ears ringing from the noise. She felt bad for the girl getting attacked by Amelia; the girl couldn't fight back at all, and Ethan seemed kinda weak too.

Amelia was seriously heartbroken this time, probably 'cause she really cared about Ethan. This wasn't like before when she just played with guys' feelings.

Finally, Ethan snapped.

He shoved Amelia to the ground, then held his girl, asking, "You okay?"

The girl, tears streaming down her face, weakly asked, "Ethan, who is she, and why did she hit me?"

"She's my ex. Don't worry, I'll get a lawyer and make sure she pays for this!" Ethan said coldly, glaring at Amelia on the floor.

Hearing this, Amelia's heart shattered. She snapped, "Ethan, you're heartless. We've been together so long, and now you wanna sue me? I was always good to you."

"That was all in your head. I never asked for it. You kept clinging to me, using your scheming mom to seduce my dad, making him threaten me with the inheritance to force me to marry you. Amelia, I'd rather die than marry you. Being with you is worse than prison. I can't take it anymore, which is why I sued my dad. I'd rather give up seventy-five percent of the inheritance and cut ties with him than face you every day!" Ethan said, his voice full of pain, spilling all the grievances of the past two years.

Amelia couldn't take it and just cursed, "Ethan, you bastard!"

Ethan coldly replied, "Wait for my lawyer to contact you."

With that, he gently helped the girl in his arms and walked away.

"Ethan, I curse you and that chick die a horrible death!" Amelia screamed, yanking off her high heel and chucking it at their backs.

But they were already too far, and the heel landed like ten feet away.

Just then, a waiter came over and said to the still-crying Amelia on the floor, "Ma'am, you're disturbing our guests. Please leave immediately, or you'll be responsible for any damages."

Hearing this, Amelia got up, fuming, with just one high heel on, and snapped at the waiter, "What, you think I can't afford it? Isn't this place for people to eat? I'm telling you, I got money now, so don't get all high and mighty!"

The waiters here were pros and wouldn't stoop to her level, but they were definitely judging her in their heads.

The waiter said, "Sorry, ma'am, I didn't mean that. I just don't want you to disturb the other guests."

"You better not!" Amelia shot the waiter a death glare and turned to leave.

But then, she spotted Susan and Seb by the window, having a meal.

Seeing them, Amelia froze. She hadn't expected to see them here, witnessing her most humiliating moment.

Susan didn't want Amelia to see her. She wasn't here to gloat, even though she thought Amelia had it coming.

But since they locked eyes, she couldn't just pretend not to see Amelia—that'd be too fake.

Plus, Susan knew Amelia would definitely throw some shade her way because that's just how Amelia rolled.

Sure enough, Amelia snapped out of it and hobbled over to Susan and Seb, still wearing one high heel.

"Amelia, long time no see." Susan greeted her, no point in ignoring her now.

Glancing at Seb across from Susan, Amelia sneered, "Susan, you really are something. You didn't marry George, and now you're back with Mr. Anderson. And he actually wants you. Everyone calls my mom a homewrecker, but I think the real homewrecker is you. There's no man you can't get!"

"Amelia." Seb was about to shut her down.

But Susan cut him off, "Even if I am a homewrecker, I'm a moral one. One of my rules is never to go after a married man. You and your mom, on the other hand, will go after any guy you fancy, family or girlfriend be damned. Amelia, you and your mom will get what's coming to you sooner or later!"

Susan's words left Amelia speechless.

Seb looked at Susan with a half-smile and gave her a thumbs-up.

Susan grinned back and raised her chin.

Right then, Susan felt super satisfied, especially seeing Amelia's current state. She'd wanted to put Amelia in her place for a long time and didn't expect it to happen so soon!

Seeing Seb's gesture and Susan's smug look, Amelia was boiling inside, but she couldn't lash out. She was alone and causing a scene would only make things worse. Plus, she didn't dare to piss off Seb.
