Chapter 1083 Continue Sleeping

The next moment, Cecilia fearfully wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.

At this moment, Cecilia was both scared and blaming herself, 'It is because I am afraid of ghosts and the dark that I am so embarrassed now. He must be laughing at me. Forget it, it's better than being scared!'

Daryl, whose neck was being held tightly, smiled and then hugged her tightly.

Outside, the sounds of thunder, rain, and wind rose and fell, making people feel uneasy.

Suddenly, the wind outside picked up again, and the rain became even heavier, plunging everything into darkness.

Under the blanket, Daryl and Cecilia held each other tightly.

At some point, Daryl began to kiss her face and neck gently.

The kisses were wet and warm, causing Cecilia to squirm a bit.

The sound of breathing in the room grew heavier, and the temperature rose.

Cecilia was soon enveloped by his breath, and she began to breathe heavily as well.

He was gentle and gradual, and Cecilia unknowingly became entranced by him, like a little rabbit falling into a trap with no escape.

He entangled with her for a long time until the wind and rain outside subsided. Only then did Daryl release Cecilia, who was almost entirely drenched, and she finally closed her heavy eyelids.

Cecilia felt utterly exhausted and very hungry.

In her dreams, she saw a table full of dishes, and she sat at the table, gobbling up the food.

By dawn, the wind and rain outside had long stopped.

The streets outside were covered with leaves, branches, and water, with traces of the storm's ravages everywhere.

Daryl leaned against the headboard, looking down at the sleeping Cecilia with tenderness in his eyes.

The bed sheets and blanket were in disarray. Cecilia lay on the bed, her long hair half-wet, the blanket wrapped under her armpits, exposing her shoulders.

At this moment, Daryl suddenly heard Cecilia's stomach growl.

Hearing this, Daryl was taken aback.

Then, Cecilia squirmed a bit and mumbled, "Yummy. Barbecue ribs, chicken wings, salad, all so good!"

Hearing this, Daryl raised an eyebrow and then showed a playful expression.

Realizing Cecilia was hungry, Daryl suddenly remembered her looking for food in the kitchen last night, holding a piece of toast.

Thinking of this, Daryl smiled and got out of bed, dressing while glancing at Cecilia.

After getting dressed, Daryl looked at Cecilia, then leaned down and kissed her shoulder.

Feeling someone touching her, the sleeping Cecilia moved, turned over, and continued to sleep.

Daryl then turned and left the bedroom.

As the sun rose higher, Cecilia's phone woke her up.

Cecilia opened her sleepy eyes and saw that she was alone in the bed, which was in disarray, with her pajamas and underwear scattered around.

Without thinking much, she grabbed her phone and saw it was Daryl's number.

Looking at the flashing number on the screen, Cecilia's mind was filled with memories of last night.

Without thinking further, she answered the call.

"Hello?" Cecilia felt so nervous answering his call.

Then Daryl's voice came through. "Get up, wash up, and come down for breakfast."

Cecilia was stunned, and Daryl hung up.

Looking at the still-flashing phone, Cecilia thought, 'He doesn't leave; he's downstairs making breakfast?'

Thinking of this, Cecilia felt her stomach growl.

Indeed, she only had a few bites of toast last night before the power went out.

Looking around the bedroom, Cecilia's face suddenly turned blush.

Thinking of last night's events, she felt embarrassed.

'Did I throw myself at him? How could this happen? Damn wind, damn rain, damn power system!' Cecilia cursed in her heart and then covered her head with the blanket.

After a moment of regret and hesitation, Cecilia got out of bed, dressed, and washed up. Her hair was a mess, and she wanted to wash it, but there wasn't enough time, so she tied it into a ponytail.

Although she took a quick shower, Cecilia still felt covered in Daryl's scent.

She thought to herself, 'Damn Daryl, he must be feeling smug now.'

With a nervous heart, Cecilia went downstairs half an hour later.

When Cecilia walked into the dining room, she was stunned by what she saw.

On the table were three dishes and a soup, the aroma making her even hungrier.

"Get the utensils and eat!" Daryl took off his apron and sat at the table.

Cecilia had no choice but to get the utensils.

Walking to Daryl's side and placing the utensils in front of him, Cecilia suddenly felt pressured just to be close to him.

So, the next moment, she quickly took her utensils and returned to her seat.

"Eat!" Daryl glanced at Cecilia.

Cecilia quickly lowered her head to avoid eye contact.

Lowering her head, she could only see the dishes on the table. Seeing the dishes, Cecilia was even more surprised. 'Barbecue ribs, chicken wings, salad, and a cream of mushroom soup—how are they exactly like the dishes in my dream?'

The next moment, Cecilia looked up and accidentally met Daryl's gaze.

Daryl glanced at Cecilia and then started eating. Seeing Cecilia holding her utensils but not moving, he said, "If you don't like the food, there's toast in the fridge."

Hearing this, Cecilia quickly grabbed a rib and said, "I like it."

How could she not like it? She dreamed of eating these dishes.

The next moment, Cecilia didn't care about embarrassment; her appetite was most important, so she started eating with relish.

Seeing Cecilia eating with such enjoyment, Daryl smiled slightly, and he continued eating expressionlessly.

The two didn't speak again, but they finished all the food on the table.

Putting down her utensils, Cecilia felt like her stomach was about to burst.
