Chapter 798 Caught Her In His Arms

Susan kept ringing the doorbell, but no one answered.

Staring at the villa on the farm, she thought, 'Maybe the main gate's too far from the house, and with all this snow, they can't hear it?'

She touched the medicine bottle in her coat pocket, feeling the anxiety build. Seb's stomach pain was killing him, and this special medicine from a gastro doc in Maple Valley was the only thing that could help. It wasn't something you could just buy, and without it, Seb would be in serious pain.

Suddenly, it hit her—she could call Seb and have someone come out to get the medicine.

But when she opened her wallet, she realized she had rushed out and left her phone behind.

What now? As the sky got darker, Susan's anxiety grew. She had no idea what to do.

Since the doorbell wasn't doing the trick, she started banging on the wrought-iron gate and shouting.

But the gate was too far from the villa, and with the snow and all, no one inside could hear her.

After waiting for over ten minutes, Susan, desperate, took off her heavy coat, tossed her wallet in the snow, and got ready to climb the over-six-foot-tall gate.

Meanwhile, inside the fancy villa, a few guys were lounging on a vintage-style sofa, each holding a crystal wine glass, chatting and sipping red wine.

"Seb, you've been here for three days. Aren't you heading back tonight?" asked Manuel Barnett, Seb's buddy from Northstar City.

Seb, sprawled on the sofa with his legs crossed, replied casually, "If you're kicking me out, I'll just get a hotel tonight."

"No way, stay here. We've got plenty of rooms," Manuel quickly said.

Just then, Hugo Graves, looking anxious, said, "Seb, where's that stomach medicine? My stomach's killing me!"

Earlier, Hugo's stomach was acting up, and Seb had mentioned he had some special stomach medicine at home. Hugo trusted Seb and insisted on having Seb call Kathy to bring it over, despite the snow.

Hearing this, Seb glanced at his watch and muttered, "It should be here by now. Our servant's old, and with the snow, she might be moving slow."

"Old? We should've sent your driver," Hugo said.

Seb frowned, looking a bit worried, and pulled out his phone to call home.

After a few rings, someone finally picked up.

"Kathy, didn't you deliver the medicine to the farm?" Seb asked, frowning when he heard Kathy's voice.

"Mr. Anderson, Ms. Wilson delivered it herself. Haven't you seen her yet? She should be there by now," Kathy replied, sounding puzzled.

"What? Susan brought it herself?" Seb shot up from the sofa.

"Yes," Kathy quickly confirmed.

"When did she leave?" Seb asked, frowning.

Kathy checked the time and replied, "Two hours ago. She should've been here by now."

Hearing this, Seb immediately hung up and headed towards the foyer.

"Seb, where are you going?" Manuel stood up, frowning.

As he walked, Seb said, "Susan came to deliver the stomach medicine and hasn't shown up yet. I'm worried something happened."

"At least put on a coat; it's freezing out there," Manuel called out.

By this time, Hugo had already grabbed Seb's coat and was chasing after him.

As soon as Seb stepped out of the villa, he saw a figure climbing over the top of the wrought-iron gate.

Seeing the clumsy climber, Seb's eyes locked on her, filled with shock.

By now, Manuel and Hugo had followed Seb outside.

They also widened their eyes at the scene a few hundred feet away.

The next moment, Manuel frowned and said, "What's going on? Where are the security guards? How can someone climb the gate without them noticing? Security, call the police immediately!"

Manuel shouted for the security guards in the snow.

At this moment, Seb shot a fierce glance at Manuel, who was shouting for security. "Don't you dare."

"Why wouldn't I?" Manuel asked, bewildered.

"That's my woman!" Seb said dominantly, then stepped into the snow.

"Your woman? That..." Manuel pointed at the woman climbing down the gate, incredulous.

"No wonder Seb is so different around her. She really is something special!" Hugo said, crossing his arms and stroking his chin.

"Today, we finally saw the woman who has captivated Seb." Manuel shook his head.

Seb's footsteps crunched in the thick snow.

Susan finally made it over the gate, but looking down, she realized how high it really was.

She took a deep breath and decided to climb down quickly.

At that moment, a familiar male voice suddenly reached her ears. "What are you doing?"

Hearing this, Susan looked down and saw that Seb was already standing below the gate.

Startled, Susan's hand slipped, and she immediately fell from the gate!

Susan screamed, knowing she was going to fall. But with the thick snow, even though the gate was over six feet high, she hoped she wouldn't get seriously hurt.

Seeing Susan fall, Seb took a step forward and caught her in his arms.

Susan closed her eyes, fearing that she would hit the ground.

But after a moment, she didn't feel any pain. Instead, it felt like strong arms were holding her.

The next moment, Susan frowned, then opened her eyes to meet Seb's deep gaze.

Looking into his eyes, Susan was momentarily speechless, her mind blank. But she felt a sense of relief, knowing she was lucky not to have hurt.

Snowflakes continued to fall from the sky, and Seb noticed that Susan's head, body, and face were covered in snow, her nose was red from the cold, and she was shivering.
