Chapter 1215 Tasting

Cecilia was both shocked and deeply moved.

Her eyes gazed at Daryl in front of her, their eyes locking, their gazes tightly intertwined.

"Daryl, I don't know what to say," Cecilia said, wiping away a tear with the back of her hand, then bursting into tears of joy.

Daryl smiled and said, "You don't need to say anything, you just need to feel happy."

With that, he pulled her into his arms, giving her a tight hug before letting her go.

Then, he took two steps back, preparing to leave.

Cecilia looked at him and softly said, "Be careful on the road."

"Now that I have you, I'll be extra careful," Daryl said, then opened the door and walked out.

After closing the door, Cecilia turned and ran to the window, looking down.

Soon, his figure appeared under the moonlight.

In the moonlight, Cecilia watched as he opened the car door.

As if telepathically, Daryl, opening the car door, suddenly turned and looked up.

Daryl saw a figure looking down from the only lit window.

Daryl smiled, waved up at the window, and then got into the car.

The car then drove away into the night.

Watching his car disappear, Cecilia turned and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

As the hot water from the showerhead poured over her, she happily hummed a tune.

She seemed to have not felt this happy in a long time, with a warm feeling in her heart.

After drying her hair, she put on a nightgown and walked into the bedroom.

Unexpectedly, her phone kept ringing.

she picked up the phone and saw Daryl's number flashing on the screen.

"Hello?" she quickly answered the call.

As soon as the call connected, his anxious voice came through. "What were you doing? Why didn't you answer the phone? Do you know I've been calling you for twenty minutes? I was about to drive over!"

Hearing the anxious and reproachful voice on the phone, she wasn't angry at all; instead, a smile appeared on her lips.

Because she knew he was worried about her, and to be honest, his anxious voice was quite pleasant to hear.

"I was in the bathroom taking a shower, I didn't hear the phone ring," Cecilia patiently explained.

Hearing her words, Daryl finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Then, his voice softened. "From now on, take your phone with you when you shower, so I can always find you!"

Hearing this command, Cecilia retorted, "So it's okay if I can't find you?"

Exactly, she thought. Nine times out of ten when she called him, he didn't answer, so she always had to contact Douglas first.

Daryl took a deep breath and said, "From now on, I'll carry my phone with me at all times, ready to answer your call."

Cecilia smiled quietly and said, "That's more like it."

"Alright, it's already past three in the morning. Go to sleep now so you'll have energy to spend with me tomorrow," Daryl said, pretending to be stern.

"Got it, bossy," Cecilia laughed.

"What did you say?" Daryl's voice immediately rose.

"Nothing, I didn't say anything, I'm going to sleep!" With that, Cecilia quickly hung up the phone.

Lying on her pillow, her eyes looking at the still flashing phone screen, she felt that today had been a magical day, with a smile lingering at the corners of her eyes.

After a long time, sleepiness overcame her, and she fell asleep with a smile on her lips.

She didn't know how long she had been asleep when she was awakened by the sound of the doorbell.

"Who is it?" Cecilia yawned, turned over, and continued to sleep.

The doorbell outside kept ringing.

Finally, the sleepy Cecilia sat up.

When she groggily got out of bed and reached the door, she realized it must be Daryl outside.

She quickly looked down at her camisole nightgown, hurriedly turned around to grab a robe, put it on, and tidied her long hair before taking a deep breath and opening the door.

Sure enough, a tall figure stood outside the door. He looked energetic, his silver suit making him look particularly young and handsome, and the large bouquet of red roses in his arms was especially eye-catching.

"Why are you here so early?" the still groggy Cecilia couldn't help but yawn.

Seeing her adorable sleepy look, Daryl smiled as he walked in. "Early? It's already ten o'clock!"

"I went to bed late last night," Cecilia said coquettishly.

"That's why I came to see the beauty," Daryl said, wrapping his right arm around her waist.

Looking at the large bouquet of roses in his left hand, she couldn't help but laugh. "Are these roses also for the beauty?"

Daryl smiled and handed the roses to her. "These were freshly picked this morning, just like you, fresh and beautiful."

As he said the last sentence, he kissed her cheek, his attitude ambiguous.

Cecilia pushed him away, laughing and scolding, "Rogue!"

But after saying that, she lowered her head to sniff the fragrant roses, a smile on her face.

Seeing the smile on her face, Daryl stepped forward and asked, "Do you like the flowers from the Rogue?"

"Yes," Cecilia nodded.

Daryl then asked, "Do you like the rogue?"

Cecilia almost nodded. When she realized what he was asking, she laughed and pushed Daryl. "You're so annoying, trying to mislead me again!"

Daryl took the flowers from her arms, and looked around for a while but couldn't find a vase big enough, so he had to place the bouquet on the coffee table, frowning. "Looks like I need to buy you a bigger vase."

Cecilia laughed and said, "Who gives flowers without giving a vase?"

Daryl stepped forward and hugged her, his eyes fixed on her lips.

"What are you looking at?" Cecilia asked in surprise.

She didn't think there was anything wrong with her lips.

While she was puzzled, Daryl said, "I want to taste your sharp tongue."

"You're so annoying!" Cecilia pushed him and tried to run away.

But he was quick, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back into his arms.

Cecilia let out a small cry, "Ah."

Daryl took advantage of the situation and lowered his head to kiss her.

He successfully tasted her tongue.
