Chapter 643 A Matter Between Themselves
Upon hearing this, Susan calmed down and slowly sat in the swivel chair.
Isabella was right. Maria already had a grudge against her. If she went to find George, regardless of the outcome, would only humiliate Maria further if she found out.

The following days could be described as calm and peaceful. In the blink of an eye, two months had passed, and autumn had arrived once more.
Susan, Isabella, and Dorothy were all working hard, and the accounting firm's performance had improved significantly.
In these two months, Susan hadn't seen Seb even once.
She didn't know whether it was her deliberate avoidance that was working or if Seb was also intentionally avoiding her.
Sometimes, when she went to the villa to see the kids, even though it was already very late, Seb never happened to come back.
Gradually, Susan began to understand that perhaps he didn't want to see her.

Inside the luxuriously decorated villa, Rylee sat bored at the dressing table, combed her slightly curly hair, and then picked up her phone to call Andrew, who was on a business trip in Skyhaven.
"Andrew, I miss you so much!" As soon as the call connected, Rylee couldn't suppress her feelings.
Andrew hesitated for a moment and then said stiffly, "Rylee, please. I'm very busy in Skyhaven, and I can't finish my work. Please don't call me ten times a day!"
Hearing Andrew's complaint, Rylee quickly said, feeling wronged, "I'm sorry, Andrew. I really miss you. I'm so lonely at home with no one to keep me company!"
"You can go shopping with friends, go to the beauty salon, sing, or learn cooking and housework at home. Can't you do any of those?" Andrew's tone was a bit angry.
"Okay, okay, don't be mad. I understand," Rylee said, pouting, with tears almost falling.
"Alright, I'm hanging up!" Andrew said and then hung up the phone.
These two months had been tough for Rylee.
Andrew's work was very busy, and he often had to travel for business, leaving little time to spend with her. Even when he did have time, he was distracted, so Rylee had been in a bad mood lately.
Despite feeling bored, she didn't want to go out shopping with friends because she missed Andrew so much and longed for the days when they were together every day. Those days were so wonderful, but they were gone forever.
Half an hour later, Rylee's phone suddenly rang urgently!
Rylee picked up her phone and saw that it was an unfamiliar number, but she answered it anyway.
"Hello?"
As soon as Rylee spoke, an elderly man's voice came from the other end. "Is this Rylee? I'm Andrew's father!"
Hearing this voice, Rylee was stunned!
Then she quickly realized that it was indeed Andrew's father's voice. Andrew's parents lived in a small town a hundred miles away from Maple Valley.
Because Andrew's parents were ordinary people from a small town and didn't know how to interact with Rylee, who came from a wealthy family, they rarely visited. Rylee and Andrew only went to see them during holidays, and they had never contacted Rylee directly. Receiving a call from Gavin Martin suddenly, Rylee was a bit confused!

"Rylee, Anouk fell and broke her hip. The doctor said she needs surgery. I don't really understand all this. I tried calling Andrew, but his phone is off, and I can't reach him. If you have time, can you come back? I really don't know what to do!" Gavin said helplessly.
Rylee knew that Andrew's parents were hardworking people who hadn't seen much of the world. Hearing that his hip was broken, they must have panicked.
So, Rylee quickly said, "Dad, don't worry. I'll come back right away. I'll be there in an hour or two. You don't need to call Andrew. He's in Skyhaven and can't come back immediately. I'll come back!"
After saying that, Rylee grabbed her bag and money and drove straight to the Martin Family.
On the way, Rylee tried calling Andrew, but his phone was indeed off.
Rylee knew that it was probably because she kept calling him, making him feel annoyed, so he turned off his phone. She couldn't help but feel a bit angry.
But Rylee loved Andrew very much, and she realized her mistake. He was in Skyhaven for work, not for fun, and calling him ten times a day was indeed excessive.
So Rylee decided not to tell Andrew about his mother, Anouk Green. She wanted to handle this matter independently for Andrew. She wasn't that useless after all.
