Chapter 1117 Who Said I Was Jealous
Upon hearing this, Daryl said, "Since Cecilia didn't send you to ask, then I'm sorry, I can't tell you anything."
Hearing this, Susan frowned and said, "Since both of you truly love each other, I just want to advise you not to wait until you've lost her to realize her worth!"
"Thank you, I'll consider your words," Daryl replied expressionlessly but still maintained his politeness.
Susan knew that Daryl was very opinionated and hard to persuade, and his eyes did not show any reluctance towards Cecilia.
The next moment, the music's tempo quickened, and the piece reached its final stage.
Daryl and Susan sped up their dance steps, performing several high-difficulty moves in a row, drawing applause from the crowd around the dance floor.
However, Seb frowned deeply with worry; because those high-difficulty moves were really not suitable for Susan, who was pregnant.
Soon after, the music gradually stopped.
Daryl and Susan slowly made a finishing move, earning another round of applause.
At this moment, several big shots from Maple Valley surrounded Seb, laughing and saying, "Mr. Anderson, I didn't expect Mrs. Anderson to be so good at tango. I'll ask her for a dance later, and you must agree."
"Yes, Mr. Anderson, dancing with Mrs. Anderson would be a great pleasure!"
"Yes, indeed."
Hearing these words, Seb was naturally unhappy. He glanced over and saw those big shots looking at Susan on the dance floor with lecherous eyes, making his face even darker.
At this point, Seb could no longer bear it and strode towards Susan on the dance floor.
"I hope you don't let Cecilia down!" Susan said to Daryl.
"Thank you for the reminder," Daryl replied expressionlessly.
By this time, Seb had already reached Susan's side, grabbed her arm, and pulled her out of the dance floor without a word.
Susan was bewildered and didn't dare to ask loudly, so she quickened her pace to follow Seb out of the ball.
Meanwhile, Skylar, who had been waiting for a long time, approached Daryl.
At this moment, another dance tune started.
Daryl and Skylar continued to dance.
This time, the music was a gentle waltz, allowing the dancers to talk while dancing.
"Daryl, who was that charming lady? You two were so in sync! Anyone who didn't know would think you were long-time dance partners!" Skylar sought answers from Daryl's face, her eyes already filled with jealousy.
Daryl, however, said frankly, "To be honest, it was my first time meeting her. I didn't expect her to be so good at tango. She'sMr. Anderson's wife."
"Mr. Anderson? The former CEO of Prosperity Group?" Skylar asked with a frown.
"Yes. Now Prosperity Group and Johnson Corporation have merged," Daryl replied.
Hearing this, Skylar smiled happily. "So she's Mr. Anderson's wife. No wonder she's so outstanding!"
Knowing that Susan was married and her husband was the famous Seb from Maple Valley, Skylar's worries were instantly relieved.
Meanwhile, Seb pulled Susan out of the party and pressed the elevator button.
"What are you doing?" Seeing the anger on Seb's face, Susan frowned and asked.
Seb glared at Susan angrily. "How dare you ask me? Do you know you're pregnant? And you were dancing tango with someone else, doing all those inappropriate moves."
Hearing this, Susan was naturally angry and immediately argued with Seb, "What nonsense are you talking about? Those are basic tango moves!"
"Daryl is already surrounded by women, why are you getting involved?" Watching Daryl and Susan dance so well just now made Seb jealous. By holding back, he was already showing respect to Susan; otherwise, he might have whisked her away from the dance floor in the middle of the song without hesitation.
"Do you think I risked dancing with Daryl to show off? I wanted to tell him that Cecilia truly loves him and that he shouldn't miss out on her, or he will regret it later!" Susan's voice unknowingly raised.
At this moment, the elevator arrived.
Seb walked into the elevator first, and Susan, still angry, stood still.
Seeing this, Seb stepped forward, grabbed Susan's wrist, and pulled her into the elevator.
"The charity donation hasn't started yet. Have you forgotten why we came here today?" Susan asked.
At this moment, the elevator doors closed, and Seb pressed the button for the first floor. The elevator began to descend.
Seb, however, said seriously to Susan, "We just needed to make an appearance. I've already instructed my assistant to donate an appropriate amount in our name during the donation segment."
Hearing this, Susan turned her face away, not wanting to talk to Seb.
She felt he was too overbearing today, pulling her out of the ball so publicly, which was extremely impolite.
Seeing Susan's unhappy face, Seb's anger subsided by half, and his tone softened. "Do you know how many men were looking at you with lecherous eyes? I really wanted to gouge their eyes out!"
Hearing such harsh words, Susan turned to look at Seb, only to see him looking furious, like a child.
At this moment, Susan finally understood why Seb was jealous.
He was jealous of Daryl and those men watching. Susan found it amusing. 'How could Seb be so easily jealous? Doesn't everyone there know I am Seb's wife? Do they dare to do anything?'
Seeing Susan's amused expression, Seb asked fiercely, "What are you laughing at?"
Susan covered her mouth and said with a smile, "I thought you had matured a bit over the past two years, but it turns out you're still the same, always getting jealous."
At this moment, the elevator reached the first floor, and the doors opened.
Susan stepped out of the elevator first, and Seb followed, saying, "Who said I was jealous? I just couldn't stand the way those men were looking at you."
Susan smiled and didn't argue with him because Seb was prideful and would never admit he was jealous.
