Chapter 363 Mutual Consent
At this moment, the door of Susan's house suddenly opened.
Isabella, dressed in pajamas and looking drowsy, poked her head out and glanced at Susan and Seb, particularly noting how their bodies were still pressed closely together.
Susan tried to push him away, but Seb continued to pin her against the wall, showing no sign of embarrassment.
Susan kept glaring at him, but it was useless; Seb didn't care about any awkwardness at all.
Glancing at their position, Isabella crossed her arms and laughed. "It's the middle of the night; don't you guys want people to sleep? Even if I don't sleep, the neighbors need to. You're disturbing the peace, you know?"
This made Susan's face turn red up to her ears. She immediately pushed Seb and said, "Get off me! I'm going home!"
"Your home isn't here; you're just staying here temporarily," Seb said, gripping Susan's wrist tightly.
"You..." Susan was mortified, especially now in front of Isabella.
Seeing their situation, Isabella pretended to be anxious and said, "So, it's not consensual between you two, Susan? Is he harassing you? Don't be afraid; if he's harassing you, I'll call the police right now and let them handle it!"
With that, Isabella really picked up her phone and started dialing.
Seeing that Isabella was serious, Susan certainly didn't want the police to take Seb away.
So, the next moment, Susan quickly waved her hand and said, "No, no!"
"If it's not harassment, then you're willing?" Isabella stopped dialing and looked up at Susan.
At this moment, Susan fell silent.
Admitting it wasn't harassment would mean that what she and Seb were doing in the hallway was indeed consensual.
By now, Seb had realized that Isabella was teasing Susan and helping him out.
So, the next moment, Seb gave Isabella a thumbs-up and said, "Isabella, I'll treat you to a meal someday."
Isabella, however, was picky and said, "A meal? If it's not a feast, I won't go."
At this point, Susan realized she had been played by Isabella and Seb together.
The next moment, Susan stomped her foot and said, "Isabella, whose friend are you anyway?"
"Whoever has money is my friend," Isabella said with a smile, then glanced at Seb and said, "You're just staying in my house temporarily. Now that you have a place to go, can you move out? I'm not chatting with you anymore; I'm exhausted and have to work tomorrow. I'm going to sleep now. You guys continue!"
With that, Isabella pulled her head back and slammed the door shut!
"Isabella, you're so ungrateful!" Susan cursed as she pounded on the door.
Seb chuckled, then reached out and pulled Susan, saying with amusement, "Let's not disturb the peace here. Let's go."
"I'm not going with you," Susan said resolutely.
Hearing this, Seb looked Susan up and down, then suddenly bent over and scooped her up.
"If you don't want to walk, I'll carry you," he said flatly.
Feeling dizzy, Susan instinctively grabbed Seb's shirt collar to protect herself.
Seeing Susan's reaction, Seb smirked and said, "So you wanted me to carry you. You should have said so earlier."
With that, Seb turned and carried Susan down the stairs.
At this point, Susan finally came to her senses. Seeing Seb carrying her downstairs, she nervously shouted, "Put me down; did you hear me?"
"Even if I put you down, Isabella won't take you in," Seb said.
Susan turned her face away and said firmly, "Then I'll stay at a hotel!"
Seeing her determined eyes, Seb's gaze softened. "Don't you miss Hayden and Spring?"
At the mention of Hayden and Spring, Susan immediately deflated!
She missed Hayden and Spring so much and wanted to see them right now. But Hayden and Spring were at Seb's villa, so if she wanted to see them, she had to go with Seb. Susan was extremely conflicted.
"Such a heartless mother," Seb sighed when he saw that Susan didn't respond.
"You're the heartless one!" Susan immediately retorted.
"So, you're agreeing to come with me?" Seb raised an eyebrow, knowing that Hayden and Spring were her vulnerabilities. He had succeeded once again.
Susan didn't say anything and lowered her head.
In fact, she had already decided in her heart to go with Seb, but she was just being stubborn, afraid of losing face. Going with him so easily would surely make him look down on her.
Seeing her acquiescence, Seb quickened his pace down the stairs.
As they were about to exit the hallway, Susan tugged on Seb's shirt collar.
"What's wrong?" Seb stopped.
Susan whispered, "Put me down."
Seb hesitated, unsure whether to put her down.
Susan blushed and added shyly, "If Leon sees us, he'll definitely make fun of us."
Seeing the blush on her face, Seb's heart softened, and he put her down.
Once free, Susan started walking ahead, but Seb grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the hallway.
Outside, a black Bentley gleamed under the night sky.
Seeing them come out, Leon quickly stepped forward and opened the back door.
Seb pulled Susan into the car, and even as the car sped down the road, Seb still held onto her wrist.
This time, Susan didn't try to shake off Seb's hand, letting him hold her wrist tightly. Eventually, her wrist started to hurt because Seb was gripping it so hard, as if afraid she would run away.
The roads were very clear at midnight, and soon Leon parked the car in front of the villa's gate.
Through the car window, Susan looked at the villa in front of her, knowing that stepping into this villa tonight had special significance. It meant she was back with Seb, and their family was finally reunited.
Leon opened the back door, and Seb pulled Susan out of the car.
"Mr. Anderson, I'll be off now," Leon said as he closed the back door.
Seb nodded and said, "Go get something to eat."
"Yes, sir," Leon nodded and got into the car, which then drove away.
Hearing their conversation, Susan looked at Seb in surprise and asked, "You guys didn't have dinner?"
"I've been looking for you all night, worried sick. How could I have the time or mood to eat?" Seb said, giving Susan a look.
