Chapter 1090 Too Foolish

Cecilia sat on the couch, suddenly not wanting to go upstairs.

She reached out and touched her ponytail, unsure of how to face Daryl upstairs.

She didn't know if he was in his bedroom or hers.

Cecilia sat there for a while before getting up to the kitchen to pour a glass of warm water and headed upstairs.

After all, she couldn't avoid it.

When Cecilia went upstairs, she saw that her bedroom light was on, while the light in the adjacent bedroom was off.

Cecilia paused, taking a deep breath. She thought, 'It seems he still wants to make love tonight. Forget it, it is his right, after all, he has paid for it.'

After a moment of self-mockery, Cecilia walked into the secondary bedroom with a glass of water.

As Cecilia entered the bedroom, she immediately saw Daryl leaning against the headboard, his tie thrown on the floor, his shirt collar already undone, slightly open, his eyes carrying a drunken look, his whole body reeking of alcohol.

Cecilia could tell that he was in a bad mood tonight, and she sighed inwardly.

In fact, after their quarrel, Cecilia didn't want to see him unhappy. She hoped he could be like he was a few days ago, at least then his gaze towards her was gentle.

Tonight, his gaze towards her was cold.

Daryl glanced at Cecilia standing at the door, his eyes narrowing.

The next moment, Cecilia walked up to Daryl with the glass of water. She said, "Have some water."

Daryl glanced at the glass in Cecilia's hand, then reached out to take it, drank half of it, and handed the glass back to Cecilia.

Cecilia took the glass, turned around, and was about to leave, but was suddenly pulled into a broad embrace.

Cecilia exclaimed softly, her hand shaking, causing the glass to fall to the floor.

However, the glass was surprisingly resilient this time, not shattering or even breaking.

Cecilia frowned and wanted to bend down to pick up the glass.

But Daryl wouldn't allow it, pressing her against the wall and kissing her wildly.

His kiss came suddenly, his whole body radiating heat, and Cecilia instinctively wanted to push him away.

But Daryl suddenly released her lips and said in a hoarse voice, "Didn't you say you would obey me? Didn't you say I am your boss and you are my employee? I think besides obeying, you should also please me, right?"

Daryl's words made Cecilia frown tightly. She looked up at the drunken Daryl in front of her.

Although he was drunk, his eyes carried a hint of coldness, but also a trace of passion.

Seeing this complex look, Cecilia was confused.

Seeing her not responding, Daryl couldn't wait any longer and kissed her again.

Cecilia's hand clenched for a moment, then slowly relaxed, and she quietly wrapped her arms around Daryl's waist.

Since things had come to this, she might as well completely surrender to him.

Feeling Cecilia's compliance, Daryl frowned, then pressed her body onto the soft bed.

The next morning, after washing up, Daryl went downstairs.

At this time, Cecilia was setting breakfast on the dining table and said with a smile, "Breakfast is ready!"

Hearing this, Daryl walked into the dining room and saw Cecilia wearing an apron, smiling as she placed the food on the table, and he was surprised.

In the past, Cecilia couldn't get up this early. This time she got up, and he didn't even notice, probably because he was too tired last night.

"You can eat now." Cecilia placed the utensils in front of Daryl.

"Thank you." Daryl lowered his head and started eating.

During the meal, Daryl occasionally looked up and saw that Cecilia's expression was very natural, just like when they first got together.

Halfway through the meal, Cecilia suddenly looked up and asked, "Will you be back for dinner tonight?"

Hearing this, Daryl frowned. 'Does she want me to come back for dinner?'

Noticing Daryl's hesitant expression, Cecilia quickly said, "Well, I was just asking about your plans so I know whether to prepare dinner."

Hearing this, Daryl said, "I don't have any social engagements tonight."

He meant he would be back for dinner.

Cecilia nodded and said, "Got it."

Cecilia finished eating first, then stood up and said, "Sorry, I have to go. My teacher assigned me to collect homework today."

"Okay." Daryl nodded, agreeing.

Then, Cecilia picked up her backpack and left the villa.

Walking on the road, looking at the rising sun, Cecilia took a deep breath. This should be a good start. She hoped she and Daryl could spend the remaining nine months amicably.

Then, Cecilia walked forward with a smile.

After that, Daryl and Cecilia coexisted peacefully in this non-intimate way.

Cecilia prepared breakfast and dinner every day, did the chores, and took care of Daryl's daily needs.

At first, they had little communication outside of discussing books.

However, their communication in bed was very passionate, and making love became a nightly routine.

In this aspect, Cecilia found that she and Daryl were becoming more in sync. He had successfully mastered every sensitive spot on her body.

Perhaps making love could foster feelings. Gradually, they became a habit for each other.

She knew his living habits, and he was well aware of her preferences and even knew her menstrual cycle.

Gradually, they started talking about interesting life stories at the dining table. To outsiders, they seemed like a loving cohabiting couple.

Cecilia was quite satisfied with this state. This period should be a beautiful memory in the future, but sometimes deep down, she would ask herself, 'Does he still love me?'

Cecilia knew it was a bit silly to still be pondering this question, but she couldn't help herself. However, it was only in the dead of night that she would think about it.
