Chapter 1070 Anger

When Daryl's eyes caught sight of the handwriting on the preface, his brows furrowed.

Then, he looked up and questioned Cecilia in front of him, "Who gave you this book?"

Cecilia, not understanding, reached out to take the book back. "Give me back the book!"

But Daryl raised his hand, not letting Cecilia succeed.

"Is this your token of love?" Daryl's eyes narrowed, revealing a dangerous glint.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Cecilia shouted at the suspicious Daryl.

"It's written clearly here, and you still won't admit it?" Daryl's voice was authoritative, as if interrogating a criminal.

"What do you want me to admit?" It was just a book, and Cecilia didn't know what he was talking about.

"Who gave you this book?" Daryl asked again.

"It was..." Cecilia wanted to answer truthfully but hesitated, looking at Daryl with concern.

Last time, Daryl misunderstood her and Barry. She didn't mind the misunderstanding, but she was afraid of implicating Barry. If Daryl impulsively went to confront Barry, it would be terrible.

"Is it the same person who lent you 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'?" Sensing Cecilia's hesitation, Daryl became even more convinced of his thoughts.

"Yes." Cecilia nodded, admitting it. She thought, 'After all, there's really nothing between Barry and me, and he can't do anything to Barry.'

"But Barry just lent me a book. Aren't you overthinking this?" Cecilia said irritably.

Hearing this, Daryl let out a cold laugh.

Although he was laughing, Cecilia saw a murderous look on Daryl's face. This time, he seemed genuinely angry.

The next moment, Daryl held the book up to Cecilia's face and said, "Am I overthinking? I can read it to you."

Hearing this, Cecilia curiously looked at the blank space on the preface.

Sure enough, there were two lines of flamboyant handwriting in the blank space.

Then, Daryl gritted his teeth and read aloud, "No matter if it's sunny, cloudy, or rainy, a day I see you is a sunny day; no matter if it's yesterday, today, or tomorrow, a day with you is a beautiful day."

As he read these words, Daryl's hand gripped the book tightly, as if he wanted to crush it.

Hearing Daryl's cold and mocking tone and seeing those two lines of flamboyant handwriting, Cecilia was stunned.

She cursed in her head, 'Why did Barry write such words? He's really going to get me killed!'

The next moment, Cecilia hurriedly explained, "Barry lent me this book after school today. I didn't see him write these words. Maybe he didn't write them for me; maybe they were for someone else. After all, he didn't give me the book, he just lent it to me."

By the time she finished speaking, Daryl's face had darkened, and he was stepping closer to Cecilia.

Cecilia, in turn, stepped back.

His eyes were extremely cold, and his whole body seemed ready to explode with anger. Cecilia couldn't help but tremble.

When Daryl had cornered Cecilia between the wall and the bed, he angrily threw the book against the wall.

The sound of tearing paper exploded in the air, and the book fell to the floor, completely ruined.

Seeing the book lying in pieces on the floor, Cecilia looked at Daryl with lingering fear.

The next moment, Daryl suddenly grabbed her wrist, and Cecilia let out a small cry.

Daryl pressed her against the wall, his eyes filled with rage, and questioned, "Are you and that Barry in a relationship?"

"No." Cecilia quickly shook her head.

To be honest, she had never seen him this angry before. The previous times didn't make her as fearful as this one.

"Then how far have you two gone? Has he hugged you? Has he kissed you? Or have you already had sex?" Daryl questioned repeatedly, his eyes fixed on Cecilia, his whole body filled with jealousy.

"What are you doing? Let go of me, you're hurting me!" Cecilia felt like he had gone mad. Her legs were trembling, and she struggled desperately, trying to push Daryl away, but her strength was no match for his.

Cecilia's struggle only angered Daryl more. He lowered his head and said, "What? Barry can touch you, but I can't?"

"There's nothing between Barry and me. Stop talking nonsense, okay?" Cecilia's voice was already tinged with tears because she felt she was in a very dangerous situation. She just wanted to leave, to get out of Daryl's reach.

The next moment, Daryl suddenly pulled off Cecilia's wool coat.

"What are you doing?" Cecilia asked in terror.

Daryl ignored her and urgently tore at her knit sweater.

The next moment, Cecilia understood his intention. She struggled desperately, but it only led to more brutal treatment.

Soon, Cecilia was pushed onto the bed behind her, her clothes in disarray.

Daryl stood by the bed, throwing his suit jacket behind him.

Although Cecilia had been somewhat prepared before, she hadn't expected this scene today.

Cecilia propped herself up on her arms, moving backward, her face pale with fear. "No, don't come any closer."

The next moment, Daryl pounced on Cecilia.

At this moment, the last bit of fabric on Cecilia's body fell to the floor.

During the struggle, the pillows, blankets, lamp, and cup on the bedside table all fell to the floor, as if a battle was taking place.

"Daryl, let go of me, did you hear me?" Cecilia's voice changed with fear, and tears streamed down her face.

It was okay for a woman to imagine their first sex. When it came to this, no matter how strong and independent Cecilia was, she couldn't get through it.

The more Cecilia struggled, the angrier Daryl became. "Barry can touch you, but I can't? You're not a virgin, so why are you pretending to be pure? Is this some kind of trick to you? You must be really experienced!"

At this moment, the door suddenly opened, and a plump figure appeared at the entrance.

"Mr. Fields, what's going on," Freya began to speak, but then her eyes widened, her mouth opened in shock, and she stared at the disheveled bodies on the bed, frozen in place.
