However, if Susan thought that just lying there and letting Seb have his way would be enough, she was gravely mistaken.
Suddenly, Susan felt a cold liquid splash all over her body, causing her to shiver involuntarily!
Susan opened her eyes and immediately sat up. She looked down at the red liquid on her body and then at the wine glass in Seb's hand, instantly understanding what had happened.
Susan pulled the blanket over herself, shivering uncontrollably, and angrily shouted, "Seb, are you crazy?"
Seb slammed the wine glass onto the nightstand and then stood up with the utmost elegance. "Susan, do you think I, Seb, can't find another woman? You lie there like a dead fish, and you expect me to pounce on you out of desperation?"
Susan looked at Seb, who had his hands in his pockets and a look of disdain and mockery in his eyes. Her heart felt incredibly desolate. How did they end up like this?
Seeing Susan remain silent, Seb rolled his eyes at her and said, "I have no interest in a woman as dull as you. I'm leaving!"
With that, Seb turned to leave.
"Wait a minute!" Seeing him about to leave, Susan called out to him in a panic.
Seb stopped in his tracks, frowned, and then turned around, saying, "What else?"
"You promised," she said, her voice trembling. "You said if I...if I slept with you, you'd let me see Hayden and Spring. I did what you asked. It's not my fault you..." She couldn't bring herself to finish the sentence.
But she did say it because her children were more important than her pride and self-respect.
Hearing this, Seb was momentarily stunned, then sneered, "Susan, if you want to see the kids, you need to give me a reason to want you. That performance was pathetic. Don't blame me for your lack of effort."
"Seb, what do you want from me?" Susan couldn't stand his sarcastic remarks any longer and screamed hysterically.
Seeing Susan's defeated look, Seb toned down his sarcasm, knowing he had successfully caused her immense pain.
"It's simple. Just make yourself seductive. Make me want you. Then, and only then, will you see the children." Seb sneered and walked towards the door.
"Fine, I'll call you when I'm ready!" Susan said firmly, looking at his back.
Hearing this, Seb's back stiffened, and without turning around, he said, "I hope you can satisfy me."
With that, Seb slammed the door and left.
Susan clutched the blanket tightly. Strangely, she didn't shed any tears this time. Maybe she had run out of tears.
Susan couldn't remember how she got home that night. She only knew she received a call from Leon, who said he would come to pick her up because it was too late for her to go home alone.
However, by that time, Susan was already in a taxi. It was only after Leon confirmed that she had arrived home safely that he finally felt at ease.
Susan couldn't help but feel emotional. Leon, her best friend's boyfriend, cared so much about her, while Seb no longer cared about her at all.
That night, Susan tossed and turned, thinking about many things. Finally, she searched online to understand how to become as seductive as Seb wanted.
First, she needed to buy a couple of sexy lingerie pieces. Second, she had to learn how to apply a glamorous and seductive makeup look. Lastly, she researched how to flirt with men.
Susan thought that once she was prepared in these three areas, there shouldn't be any problems.
But her naturally shy demeanor made even this first step a daunting challenge.
In the morning, Susan didn't go to work. She went straight to the mall to buy lingerie. But as soon as she walked into the lingerie section and caught a glimpse of the skimpy outfits, she blushed and ran out.
Susan was too embarrassed to pick out such clothes at the counter. After thinking for a long time, she decided to buy them on Amazon, which would take three to four days to arrive.
The first step was done. The second step was learning makeup, which wasn't too difficult for her.
Although she usually wore light makeup, a more glamorous look wasn't hard to achieve; she just needed to make it a bit bolder.
The third step was researching how to flirt with men. The internet offered a myriad of methods, from language to actions, described in great detail. However, these were just tips; the key was practice.
While Susan was amazed by the variety of ways women could seduce men, she was also troubled, wondering if these methods were effective.
For three days, Susan was preoccupied with these thoughts, to the point where she couldn't focus on work.
She just wanted to quickly become a seductive woman so she could see Hayden and Spring. She missed them so much that she felt like she was going crazy.
After several days, Susan finally completed her preparations. Now, all she needed was the sexy lingerie.
All day, Susan waited for the delivery.
In the afternoon, there was a knock on her office door.
"Come in!" Susan, who was looking at some documents, called out.
The door opened, and Isabella walked in, holding something. "Susan, you have a package!"
"Really?" Susan, who had been waiting eagerly, quickly looked up and stood.
"What did you buy? Let me see." Isabella said as she started to open the package.
Seeing this, Susan panicked and quickly ran over, snatching the package from Isabella's hands. "Give it back!"
Seeing Susan so nervous about the package, Isabella asked suspiciously, "What did you buy? Why are you being so secretive?"
Usually, Susan's online purchases were no secret, and Isabella often helped her open packages. Now, Susan's nervousness made Isabella curious.
"Oh, it's, um, something personal. It's not convenient to look at it here." Susan quickly made an excuse.
The more Susan tried to hide it, the more Isabella wanted to know. She reached for the package in Susan's arms. "Personal? Come on, Susan. We're all women here. What's inconvenient? No way, there must be something up. I have to see what it is!"
"Please don't look!" Susan pleaded with Isabella.
"You should know by now, begging only makes me more curious." Isabella said as she opened the package.
When Isabella took out the contents of the package, Susan wished she could find a hole to crawl into. She immediately covered her face!
