Chapter 810 Abort the Child

"I get it," Susan said, frowning after hearing Isabella's words.

"So, I have to keep this baby. Susan, I don't know if it's the right call, but I know you made the same choice back then," Isabella said, grabbing Susan's hand.

Susan felt a deep sympathy for Isabella. She slowly reached out, held Isabella's hand, and said, "I support your decision!"

Isabella was a year or two older than Susan, already in her thirties. If she didn't keep this baby, who knew when she'd find another suitable partner, and who knew when she'd have another chance at motherhood. A woman's prime years were fleeting, and even now, Isabella wasn't exactly young to be having a baby.

Isabella nodded at Susan, then took Susan's phone and dialed Seb's number.

The phone rang twice before it was answered.

"Susan, is everything okay? How are Hayden and Spring?" Seb asked anxiously as soon as he picked up.

They had agreed not to see or contact each other for two years. It had only been a little over a month, and seeing Susan's call made Seb think something had happened to her, Hayden, or Spring, making him particularly nervous.

Isabella was in a bad mood and not thinking clearly, so she put the call on speaker to let Susan help analyze the situation.

Hearing that familiar voice, Susan's heart tightened immediately!

His voice was full of concern, and Susan could feel his care for her and the kids.

Although they had been apart for over a month, Susan knew that Seb was still the same man who loved her and the kids deeply.

Hearing Seb's words, Isabella looked at Susan enviously, then quickly said into the phone, "Seb, it's Isabella. Don't worry, Susan and the kids are all fine. I'm with them now. I called because I need to ask you something."

Seb was silent for a moment.

Then, Susan heard a sigh of relief from the other end.

"You actually went to Northstar City. Do you know Leon is going crazy looking for you?" Seb said in a reproachful tone.

Hearing this, Isabella didn't feel touched at all. Instead, she sneered, "He's afraid he won't find me and won't be able to make me abort the baby, right?"

"You're pregnant?" Seb was very surprised.

"Didn't Leon tell you?" Isabella asked with a cold smile.

The next moment, Seb calmed down and said, "He was frantic and only said you were missing. He didn't mention you were pregnant."

"I called to ask you if Leon has another woman," Isabella asked painfully. Although she was mentally prepared, she was still afraid of hearing the heartbreaking answer.

"Why would you think that?" Seb felt Isabella was being unreasonable.

Seb's tone angered Isabella, and she immediately became emotional. "Seb, if Susan were pregnant with your child, wouldn't you be overjoyed and jump for joy? But I'm pregnant, and Leon acts like it's a disaster. He was depressed for a whole day and night, and in the end, he wanted me to have an abortion. He insisted I listen to him without any objections. If I disagreed, he would forcefully take me to the hospital. If he doesn't have another woman and wants to cut ties with me, what other reason could there be?"

Isabella's words left Seb speechless.

She then continued, "Seb, I know it's a bit much to call you today, especially since you and Leon have been friends for so long. But I don't want to be played. If Leon has another woman, I'm done with him; I'll cut ties completely!"

Seb's tone softened. "Isabella, I'm sorry. I can't get involved in Leon's private life, and I can't tell you anything without his okay. But I can promise you one thing: Leon really loves you. His feelings are genuine. Please don't doubt that."

"I knew calling you wouldn't help," Isabella sneered.

"Isabella..." Seb tried to say more, but Isabella angrily hung up the phone.

Susan frowned. When the voice that had haunted her disappeared, she felt a deep sense of loss.

Noting Isabella's sadness, Susan snapped out of her thoughts.

Susan then frowned and said, "Could Leon have some hidden reason?"

Isabella sneered, "A hidden reason? What kind of hidden reason would make him cruel enough to want to get rid of his own child?"

Susan had no words to respond and could only comfort her, "Isabella, things are already like this. Being upset will only affect the baby. Just stay here and rest. Don't think about anything else."

Hearing this, Isabella gratefully looked at Susan and said, "I knew you would help me!"

Susan rolled her eyes at Isabella and said jokingly, "If you keep talking like that, I'll get mad! You helped me more than once when I was in trouble. We've been through so much together. Without you, my days would have been harder. Without me, you wouldn't be much better off!"

Hearing this, Isabella smiled. "By the way, I probably won't be able to help you with the accounting firm for a while. But don't worry, before coming to Northstar City, I handed everything over to Dorothy. She's more than capable now, but our business will definitely be affected if we're both not there."

Susan smiled and said, "Let's put the business on hold for now. Dorothy will handle it as best as she can."

Moved by Susan's consideration, Isabella gazed at her with heartfelt gratitude.

Then, Susan said with a smile, "I'll get you some food. We can't let your baby go hungry."

"I'm really hungry. No need to bring it up; I'll go downstairs to eat," Isabella said, feeling much better.

"Let's go," Susan said, and the two happily went downstairs to eat.

Kathy had specially prepared a light meal for Isabella, and she ate it with great appetite.

"Kathy's cooking is so good!" Isabella said, gobbling up the food.

Seeing this, Susan frowned and said, "Slow down, or you'll choke!"

Isabella said while eating, "Ever since I found out I was pregnant, I've been so angry with Leon that I haven't had a good meal."

Hearing this, Susan felt a pang of sadness but then smiled and said, "From now on, Kathy can cook for you every day. She'll make sure you and the baby are well-fed and healthy."
