Chapter 978 I Just Love The Woman Like You

Seeing Isabella hesitate, Leon lowered his head and said, "If you still think it's not enough, I guess I'll just have to give myself to you."

Isabella laughed, pushing his face away. "Oh, stop it! I don't want you."

"Well, I want you." Leon leaned in and kissed her cheek.

Isabella blushed, pushing him away again, and placed the key in his hand. "This thing is too much of a hassle. You keep it."

"I find it annoying too, which is why I married you to help me manage my assets. You can't refuse." Leon slipped the key back into the pocket of her maternity dress.

Seeing him insist look, Isabella sat on the bed, holding her waist. "I'm warning you, I'm a spendthrift. I might just blow all your money."

"Then I'll just make more. A man should earn money for his woman to spend," Leon said, sitting in front of her.

Isabella held his hand, feeling a bit dazed, like happiness had suddenly hit her out of nowhere.

"What's wrong?" Leon asked, noticing her silence.

Isabella looked at him and said, "Leon, don't spoil me too much. I'm scared that if you stop one day, I won't be able to handle it."

Happiness had come too quickly, and it felt unreal to Isabella, probably because she'd been drifting for so many years without a home or someone to rely on.

Seeing the nervousness in her eyes, Leon's heart softened, and he pulled her into his arms.

Resting his chin on her forehead, he said, "As long as I'm alive, I'll spoil you. If I ever stop, it means I'm dead."

Isabella quickly covered his mouth with her hand. "Don't say that. I hope we can die together. I don't want to be alone."

"Okay, we'll die together," Leon said, hugging her tighter.

Isabella buried her face in his neck, breathing in his scent.

They kissed passionately in front of the roses, everything else fading away, time stopping just for them.

After a while, Isabella was out of breath. Leon reluctantly let go of her swollen lips and smiled. "We'll have to wait until after the baby is born to make up for our wedding night."

Isabella's face turned red. "Stop it, who wants to spend the wedding night with you?"

Leon suddenly pinched her nose and said sternly, "You heartless woman, I miss you so much, and you don't miss me at all."

Isabella lowered her head and smiled.

She missed him too and even yearned for a passionate night together, but now wasn't the right time.

"I miss you too," she said, then shyly buried herself in his arms.

Her words made Leon's blood boil, and his breathing grew ragged. He leaned in and asked passionately, "How much do you miss me?"

Feeling his hot breath, Isabella said coyly, "Stop it, don't say such cheesy things, okay?"

"Okay," Leon nodded.

Isabella looked up at him, thinking, 'Why is he so obedient this time?'

Leon leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Because if I keep talking, I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself."

Isabella lowered her head, placing her hand on his chest, feeling his heart race.

Just as things were heating up, an elderly voice called from downstairs. "Mr. Johnson, Ms. Brown, are you upstairs?"

Isabella frowned. "Is that Kathy?"

She knew Kathy's voice well after spending half a year with her.

Leon chuckled. "Yep, it's Kathy. She got here sooner than I thought."

"You knew she was coming?" Isabella asked, frowning.

Leon took her hand. "Susan was worried about you and asked Kathy to come help out."

Isabella laughed. "Susan really does care about me."

"You like your friends more than me, huh?" Leon teased.

"Friends like Susan are rare. Guys like you, who are always up to no good, are everywhere," Isabella laughed.

"I guess I need to teach you a lesson," Leon said, tickling her armpits.

"Stop it! What are you doing?" Isabella laughed until tears streamed down her face, finally giving in.

A few minutes later, Leon helped Isabella downstairs.

Kathy quickly approached them. "Mr. Johnson, Ms. Brown, Ms. Wilson asked me to take care of Ms. Brown until her baby is born and for a month afterward."

"Thanks, Kathy. I feel better with you here; I really miss you very much." Isabella smiled.

"I've missed you too," Kathy said.

Leon cleared his throat. "Kathy, from now on, call her Mrs. Johnson."

Isabella blushed and glanced at Leon.

Kathy's eyes widened. "Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Johnson, you got married?"

"We just got our marriage certificate," Isabella said shyly.

"Congratulations! That's wonderful!" Kathy said, beaming.

"Thanks, Kathy. I didn't prepare any cash gifts, but I'll make it up to you next time," Isabella said, a bit embarrassed.

Leon pulled out some cash from his pocket and handed it to Kathy. "You didn't prepare, but I did."

Isabella couldn't help but smile. 'Leon is really thoughtful,' she thought.

Kathy took the cash and thanked them. "Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Johnson, I wish you a lifetime of happiness together."

"Thanks for the kind words," Leon said, grinning.

"I'll get to work now," Kathy said, heading off to tidy up.

Watching her leave, Isabella touched Leon's cheek. "You're really thoughtful. Why can't I think of anything?"

"You're indeed careless, not like most women," Leon said with a smile.

"Are you saying I lack femininity?" Isabella pouted.

"Yep," Leon said honestly.

"What did you say?" Isabella put her hands on her hips, ready to get mad.

Seeing her reaction, Leon quickly comforted her. "I said I just love a woman like you!"
