Chapter 851 Let Me Go

Susan wasn't really feeling the whole dancing vibe, and chatting with Marc was the last thing on her mind. She was just too weighed down by all the sadness and stress she was carrying.

But then, out of nowhere, she reached out her hand to Marc.

Marc grinned and took her hand, guiding her to the dance floor.

"So, what dance are you good at?" Marc asked, all polite and stuff.

"Tango," Susan shot back without missing a beat.

Back in the day, Susan could barely manage a basic dance. But those months in Northstar City changed everything. With nothing better to do, Cecilia dragged her to all these social clubs. Susan picked up flower arranging, piano, and, yep, tango there.

Cecilia was a tango pro, and Susan got hooked. They spent almost every waking moment practicing, and Susan got really good, really fast. Now, she felt totally confident stepping onto the dance floor.

In Northstar City, dancing was Susan's escape from missing Seb. She'd throw herself into it, and after hours of dancing, she'd be so wiped out that she'd fall asleep easily.

Marc nodded and signaled to a waiter nearby.

Soon enough, tango music filled the air.

Susan, a bit tipsy from a big glass of red wine, felt dizzy but just wanted to let out all her pain.

She struck a pose, completely lost in the moment. Marc, who seemed to know his tango too, matched her pose.

With the music's rhythm, Marc and Susan launched into a wild tango.

A few moves in, they realized they were both pretty skilled, so they amped up the difficulty.

Susan's dress and high heels were perfect for the dance. The high-slit dress swirled with her steps, showing off her long legs. Her dance moves were captivating, and her figure was stunning.

Susan's waist twisted like a snake under Marc's hands, quickly drawing everyone's attention.

As the music hit its peak, Susan's body moved fluidly under Marc's guidance, weaving in and out, dazzling the crowd.

Applause and whistles erupted from the onlookers.

Seb couldn't keep his cool anymore. Susan's dance moves had him glued to the spot.

He slowly stood up, his feet moving toward the dance floor, eyes wide with amazement.

Everyone else was just as captivated, watching the duo in the center of the floor.

The other dancers had quietly stepped aside, leaving just Susan and Marc.

The more Susan danced, the better she felt. The wine added to her exhilaration, and Mark was an excellent dance partner. Their coordination was seamless.

But tango, with all its intricate and visually stunning moves, meant a lot of close contact. It could get pretty intimate, and only couples really nailed it.

As the music hit its final peak, Seb's face got darker and darker.

His eyes were glued to Marc's hands all over Susan, his gaze icy cold.

Finally, the music stopped.

Marc and Susan struck a final pose, signaling the end of their dance.

But the crowd wasn't having it. They clapped and cheered, "Encore! Encore! Encore!"

Marc, still buzzing with excitement, waved to the cheering crowd.

Susan, a bit glassy-eyed, looked at the onlookers. That glass of red wine had definitely made her a bit tipsy, making her dance even wilder and freer. It was her first time dancing tango with a stranger, with so many intimate moves, and she was completely uninhibited. Maybe it was the wine, or maybe she just wanted to let loose.

Susan's eyes flickered, and she suddenly noticed a pair of eyes staring at her from the crowd.

Those eyes looked terrifying, like she had done something terribly wrong, staring at her as if to see right through her.

But Susan wasn't scared or worried about those eyes anymore.

Marc, still pumped, smiled at Susan and said, "Everyone's so into it. How about another dance?"

Susan didn't even hesitate. "Sure!"

Actually, she had a moment of clarity just now. Dancing so closely with Marc made her blush.

Marc signaled to the waiter to start the music again.

The next moment, an even more intense and lively tango tune began to play.

Just as Susan and Marc were about to start dancing again, a figure in a white shirt suddenly pushed through the crowd, grabbed Susan's wrist, and started pulling her off the dance floor.

For a moment, the onlookers were stunned.

"What's going on?" The crowd, eager for more, began to complain.

Marc saw Seb pulling Susan away and frowned but didn't dare to stop him, even though he was still eager to continue.

Being pulled away, Susan finally snapped out of it and struggled, shouting, "What are you doing? Let go of me!"

"Shut up!" Seb turned back and growled at Susan, dragging her towards the second floor without giving her a chance to resist.

After being dragged up the stairs to the second floor, Susan noticed it was filled with guest rooms. The hallway was carpeted with dark red embroidered rugs, and famous paintings hung on the walls, clearly a place for important guests to rest.

Seeing him pull her to the second floor, Susan felt a wave of panic. She looked around and struggled, asking, "What are you bringing me here for?"

Seb ignored her, pulling her to a guest room door. He reached into his pocket, took out a key card, and opened the door in front of them.

The door opened to a pitch-black room, with only a sliver of streetlight coming through the window.

"Let go of me!" Susan, seeing the dark room, felt scared and struggled to break free from him.
