Chapter 889 If You Die, I'll Die with You

Hearing Susan's words, Seb's eyes lit up, and he immediately picked her up and spun her around the room.

Susan felt dizzy in no time, clinging tightly to Seb's neck and screaming, "Stop, I'm so dizzy!"

Seb kept spinning and shouted, "Will you remarry me?"

"No," Susan shook her head repeatedly, still holding onto Seb's neck.

Seeing her shake her head, Seb sped up and spun even faster.

"Seb, put me down, I’m gonna puke," Susan couldn't take it anymore and yelled.

"Say it, will you remarry me?" Seb insisted.

Feeling so nauseous, Susan had to give in. "Okay."

"You can't take it back!" Seb reminded her, still not convinced.

"I won't," Susan said weakly, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Seeing her pale face, Seb finally stopped spinning.

Susan rested her head on Seb's shoulder, closed her eyes tightly, and said weakly, "I'm gonna die."

"If you die, I'll die with you," Seb suddenly said.

Hearing this, Susan slowly opened her eyes and saw Seb's deeply affectionate face.

His deep eyes were fixed on her, and his strong arms held her carefully. Susan could feel his overwhelming love.

Moved, Susan playfully scolded, "If we both die, who will take care of Hayden and Spring?"

Hearing this, Seb hesitated for a moment before saying, "Then I'll wait until Hayden and Spring are grown up before I die."

At this moment, Susan lightly punched Seb's chest. "Don't say such things in the future, it's bad luck."

"Right, we need to stay together until we're old," Seb said with a smile.

"When are we going back to Maple Valley?" Susan suddenly asked.

Hearing this, Seb smiled. "What? Eager to go back and remarry me?"

"You're so annoying!" Susan blushed and playfully hit him again before saying, "Hayden and Spring have been saying they want to go back to Maple Valley. They're tired of staying in Northstar City."

Seb's eyes flashed, but he said, "They're tired of it, but I haven't had enough yet."

"You like it here?" Susan asked, frowning.

To be honest, although the air here was better, life was not as convenient as in Maple Valley. Susan still preferred her home country, where she was born and raised.

Seb looked at Susan and replied, "I like being here with you every moment."

Hearing this, Susan smiled. "We can be together every moment in Maple Valley too."

"I can consider that," Seb nodded.

"Really?" Susan immediately looked skeptical.

Because being together every moment in Maple Valley was impossible. With his busy work and many distractions, it was impossible for him to focus on accompanying her.

Therefore, Susan was doubtful of his words.

"Daddy, Mommy!" At this moment, Spring's voice floated into the study.

Hearing Spring's voice, Susan quickly tugged on Seb's collar and said, "Spring is here, put me down quickly!"

Otherwise, they would set a bad example for the kid.

The next moment, Spring pushed open the study door and ran in.

Seb and Susan quickly composed themselves, one sitting at the desk and the other standing beside it, trying to look serious.

"Spring, what's up? Need something from us?" Susan asked with a smile.

Spring looked up at her and said, "Hayden said you should take us to the amusement park."

Seb frowned and asked, "Why didn't Hayden come and ask himself?"

"Hayden said you listen to me," Spring replied, looking all justified.

Seb laughed. "Hayden always uses Spring to get his way."

"That's because you're so strict with him," Susan teased.

Seb stood up, put his arm around Susan's shoulder, and said, "Boys need discipline, or they'll be out of control later."

"Your dad was strict with you too, and aren't you out of control now?" Susan laughed.

Mentioning Seb's dad, Seb went quiet for a moment.

Susan knew she hit a nerve but didn't mean to. She lowered her head, unsure what to say next, when Seb's voice broke the silence. "I listen to my wife now, isn't that obedient enough?"

Susan smiled at that.

Seb then stepped forward and picked up Spring. "Alright, Spring, we're heading to the amusement park right now."

"Yay!" Spring clapped her chubby hands, thrilled.

Seb carried Spring out of the study, and Susan glanced at a painting on the wall before smiling and following them out.

The next evening, Susan came back from a walk with Isabella.

As soon as they stepped into the living room, they saw Kathy and Mary packing Hayden and Spring's clothes and school supplies.

Susan couldn't help but ask, "Kathy, what's going on?"

Kathy quickly ran over and replied, "Mrs. Anderson, you're back. Mr. Anderson is upstairs packing. He said we're flying back to Maple Valley early tomorrow morning."

Susan was stunned. She turned to Isabella and said, "I'll go check it out."

Susan walked upstairs in one breath, pushed open the bedroom door, and saw Seb packing things into a suitcase.

Frowning, Susan asked, "Why the rush?"

Seb replied seriously, "Evergreen Ventures Group has declared bankruptcy. Their head committed suicide. Now it needs to reorganize, and the new head wants Prosperity Group to help. So I must return to Maple Valley immediately to handle these matters."

Susan frowned and said, "Evergreen Ventures Group has always been your enemy. Why would they want Prosperity Group to help now?"

Seb said, "The new head is the former chairman's son-in-law. He doesn't have much beef with Prosperity Group."

"Do you really want to get involved in the reorganization?" Susan asked, still frowning.

Seb looked at her and asked, "Do you want me to get involved?"

Susan shook her head. "I don't want you to have any more dealings with Evergreen Ventures Group."

Seb smiled, reached out, and held Susan's shoulder. "Don't worry, I don't want any more dealings with them either. So this time, I'm going back to refuse the reorganization."

"Okay." Susan nodded and then leaned into Seb's arms.
