Chapter 796 Sulking
Seb slammed the dining table so hard that all the dishes and bowls rattled.
Spring was startled at first, then pouted and started bawling.
Kathy and Mary heard Spring's cries and rushed to the dining room to see what was going on.
Susan was sitting on the couch in the living room at that moment.
Hearing Spring's cries, Susan felt anxious, but she was still mad at Seb, so she forced herself to stay put.
When Kathy and Mary got to the dining room, they saw Spring crying non-stop. Mary picked her up to try and comfort her.
But Spring kept crying loudly, whether from being scared or upset by Seb and Susan's scolding, and no amount of comforting helped.
Seb sat there, his face getting darker and darker.
Spring continued to cry incessantly.
Finally, Seb angrily threw a plate onto the floor!
The porcelain plate shattered into pieces on the hard floor.
With the sound of breaking porcelain, Seb roared, "Put her down and let her cry!"
Mary, holding Spring, had never seen Seb so angry and was stunned on the spot!
Not only was Spring scared into crying even harder, but Mary was also quite frightened. When Seb got angry, no one dared to speak.
"Mr. Anderson, please lower your voice, you'll scare Spring," Kathy, who had watched Seb grow up, was the only one who dared to step forward and try to calm him down.
Still fuming, Seb pointed at Spring and said, "Spring is spoiled. Send her to kindergarten immediately, or I'll spank her today!"
Spring cried even harder at this.
Kathy could only try to persuade her earnestly, but Seb wouldn't listen at all.
The more Spring cried, the angrier Seb became.
At this point, Susan naturally couldn't stay calm; a mother's heart could break instantly at the sound of her child's cries.
The next moment, Susan walked quickly into the dining room, pointing at Seb, who was still scolding Spring, and said, "Spring is crying like this today because you've spoiled her!"
Seb was taken aback upon seeing Susan, then he asked, "How is it my fault? Haven't you spoiled her too?"
"I just said to send her to kindergarten, and what did you say? Now you're forcing her to go, which of your words should she listen to? I've never seen a father like you. If you don't know how to educate a child, go learn, don't scold her, no one is afraid of you!" Susan glared at Seb and went to take Spring from Mary's arms.
In front of so many people, Susan didn't give Seb any face and even scolded him.
Seb naturally felt humiliated and pointed at Susan, saying, "Right, you're not afraid of me. How could you be? You'd probably be happy if I disappeared!"
Hearing this, Susan didn't even look at Seb, wiping Spring's tears while sneering, "Since you know that, then get out of here!"
Seeing Seb and Susan arguing, Kathy quickly tugged at Susan's sleeve. "Ms. Wilson, please say less?"
"Why should I say less? Didn't you see him smashing plate and yelling at Spring today? I think he's lost his mind!" Susan, seeing Spring sobbing in her arms, was really angry and vented everything she wanted to say.
Kathy, seeing Susan and Seb going at it, was super stressed. She looked back and forth between them and could only plead, "Guys, can we all just chill for a second?"
Seb's face was already red with anger. He reached out and smashed another plate on the floor!
The plate shattered, startling everyone!
Seb then snapped, "So what if I smash plates? They're mine! And she's my kid, I can yell if I want!"
With that, he stormed off.
"Mr. Anderson, where are you going?" Kathy called after him, trying to follow.
"I'm gonna get outta here in case anyone gets upset!" Seb shouted back without looking.
After Seb left, Susan, holding Spring, couldn't stop her tears.
Spring, already scared, reached out to wipe Susan's tears and said, "Mommy, don't cry. Daddy is so scary, I'm scared!"
Seeing the fear in Spring's eyes, Susan felt heartbroken and hugged her tightly.
Kathy quickly said, "Ms. Wilson, I think Spring's really scared. Maybe take her back to her room?"
"Okay." Susan nodded, worrying about scaring Spring.. She carried Spring out of the dining room, with Mary quickly following.
For a moment, only Kathy and Hayden were left in the dining room.
Kathy looked at Hayden, who was still eating, and said, "Everything was fine just now. How did it turn into this mess?"
Hayden, still calm, said, "Daddy and Mommy's fight today is weird."
"Weird how?" Kathy asked, puzzled.
"Usually, Daddy and Mommy are super loving. Even if Mommy's wrong, Daddy would let it slide. This time, Daddy's anger is off the charts. I bet they argued last night." Hayden analyzed.
Hearing Hayden's words, Kathy patted his head. "You're just a kid, but you talk like a grown-up."
Hayden smiled. "Don't worry, Daddy will come back soon to make up with Mommy."
"Finish your meal quickly, or you'll be late for school." Kathy, feeling a bit relieved by Hayden's words, urged him.
That day, Spring didn't go to kindergarten. She was too scared and didn't sleep well during her nap.
Susan stayed by Spring's side the whole time, feeling both resentful and angry at Seb.
Seb didn't come back for a whole day and night.
Susan didn't call him, staying in Spring's room the whole time. She thought, 'If you have the guts, never come back.'
The next day, as night fell, Seb still hadn't returned.
After Susan's emotions calmed down, she started to feel a bit regretful. Did she go too far with her words that day?
But even if she had spoken out of turn, he, as a grown man, shouldn't have taken it so seriously, right? Moreover, Spring was just a child; how could she withstand such fright?
