Chapter 920 You Are the First Woman to Make Me Feel this Way
Leon's kiss came out of nowhere, cutting off whatever Isabella was about to say.
Isabella was totally caught off guard, her eyes wide as she stared at Leon. His face was all passion and intensity, with a bit of that domineering vibe, and she couldn't help but feel a little dizzy.
A few seconds later, she snapped back to reality.
Isabella started to struggle like crazy. He had her hands pinned, and her body was pressed against the wall, making it impossible for her to move.
'What does he think I am? I'm not about to hook up with some guy in a storage room!' The more she thought about it, the angrier and more embarrassed she got. She fought for what felt like forever, but it was useless. In a moment of desperation, she kicked Leon squarely between the legs with her high heel.
She felt her shoe connect with something soft, and then Leon let go, doubling over in pain with a twisted expression.
Seeing him like that, Isabella felt a rush of excitement because she'd finally gotten free.
But then, seeing Leon's face all scrunched up in pain, she worried she might've kicked him too hard. Did she actually hurt him that bad?
Leon stayed bent over for a while, and Isabella leaned against the wall, her legs shaking with fear.
"Are you okay? I didn't mean to; you made me do it!" Isabella said, inching towards the door.
Right then, all she wanted was to get out of there.
Just as her hand touched the doorknob, Leon moved in a flash.
He leaned against the door, blocking her way.
Even though he was standing, there was sweat on his forehead, and his brows were furrowed.
Isabella could tell he was in a lot of pain, so she took a couple of steps back, scared he might retaliate.
"You can't blame me; you started it," Isabella shouted, feeling guilty.
Leon's face darkened, and his tone got serious. "You better go home and pray I'm okay, or you're gonna be in big trouble!"
Isabella was speechless.
If she really hurt him, how could she take responsibility? Her few thousand bucks wouldn't cover hospital bills.
"I've got a few things to say, and you better listen," Leon continued.
"Whatever you gotta say, just spit it out. This place stinks," Isabella said loudly, trying to sound brave.
Leon looked at her, his eyes lingering on the exposed skin of her evening dress, and said, "About that night, I'm really sorry. I know it was your first sex."
"Can you not bring that up?" Isabella cut him off immediately.
Every time he mentioned that night, she felt all kinds of uncomfortable.
Leon frowned a bit and went on, "I feel really bad about it, so if you want me to take responsibility, I'm willing to."
He looked deeply at Isabella, who was standing a few steps away.
Hearing this, Isabella stared at Leon in shock.
'What does he mean by taking responsibility? Is he talking about marriage?' Isabella's heart started racing at the thought.
She never expected Leon to say something like that today.
If he really wanted to marry her, should she say yes?
"How do you plan to take responsibility?" Isabella asked, her heart pounding.
Leon frowned and hesitated for a moment.
While waiting for his answer, those few seconds felt like an eternity to Isabella.
Then Leon said, "That depends on what you want. There are two options. First, if you want financial compensation, I can give you an amount that will satisfy you."
Isabella was taken aback. She never thought his idea of responsibility would be throwing money at her. Her excitement quickly turned to disappointment, and her eyes went cold.
She sneered. "Leon, if I wanted to be a hooker, I wouldn't have waited until I was thirty. Women only lose value as they age!"
Leon looked sincere. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to insult you."
"But you did!" Isabella's voice rose.
"I just wanted to offer a reasonable solution. If we don't resolve this, I'll always feel guilty," Leon said, looking deeply at her.
"Haven't I told you? We're both adults. What happened that night was consensual. Neither of us has anything to feel guilty about." Isabella's anger was bubbling over.
"But I'm a man, and the responsibility lies with me," Leon said, trying to show he was willing to take responsibility.
Isabella sneered, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "This is the new era. Men and women are equal in sex. We both enjoyed it, so I don't lose out!"
"Isabella," Leon called her name, sensing the change in her tone.
Isabella glanced at him. "I'm curious, what's your second plan for taking responsibility?"
Leon took a step forward, and Isabella, a bit scared, instinctively stepped back.
Seeing her reaction, Leon frowned slightly.
Then, under her gaze, he said seriously, "The second option is that I take responsibility for you forever."
Isabella frowned, not quite getting what he meant.
Realizing her confusion, Leon explained, "If you're willing, we can get married."
Isabella was stunned.
Then she sneered. "You want to marry me? Seems like you've made a big decision."
"I have thought about it for a long time," Leon replied.
Isabella's expression hardened. "Leon, you must think highly of yourself, right? Yes, I come from a humble background. I don't even have a small house in Maple Valley. If I don't work, I can't live. But I don't need your money, and I certainly don't need to depend on you!"
She angrily pushed Leon aside, trying to leave.
But Leon quickly grabbed her wrist. "I hope you can consider it. I've never thought about getting married in my life. You're the first woman to make me think this way!"
Isabella stared into Leon's eyes, and she completely misunderstood his intentions.
