Chapter 1006: Personally Overseeing

Randy's frown deepened. "He can't fix it now, but Dermot, I'm not dead yet!"

Dermot sneered, thinking, 'You really think you can help James fix the Doyle family mess? You're so full of yourself!'

"Don't believe me? Let's wait and see." Dermot stood up. He wasn't here to harm Randy, just to vent.

At the door, Dermot turned back. "Mr. Doyle, you're old now, and many things are beyond your control."

Randy's face darkened, his gaze cold as Dermot left.

Dermot quickly disappeared from Doyle Manor, leaving Randy puzzled.

"Go find out what's going on," Randy said, sensing something unusual in Dermot's behavior.

Zachary nodded, looking worried. "Mr. Randy Doyle, Mr. James Doyle... really can't handle things."

He couldn't even manage his own people in the Doyle Group, let alone outside issues.

"Damn it. I should've handed the Doyle Group to Gerald." He used to think Gerald was too ruthless, but now he realized the head of the Doyle family needed to be tough. Giving others a chance was a mistake.

"Tomorrow, I'll personally oversee the Doyle Group. I want to see who dares to mess around!" He didn't believe James couldn't learn with his guidance.

Dermot, already gone from Doyle Manor, wouldn't care even if he knew. The Doyle family was on thin ice, one wrong move from collapse. He could afford to be patient; others wanted to see them fall too.

Lost in thought, he walked to the neighborhood entrance. The place was familiar, but the faces weren't.

Dermot lived here because Evelyn did. Now she was in the hospital with Joshua and might never come back.

This was the last thing he wanted, but it was likely.

Before his car entered the neighborhood, he saw someone waving. Lowering the window, he saw it was Margaret.

Dermot was surprised to see her.

Margaret came to his window. "Dermot, let's talk."

"I don't think there's anything to talk about," Dermot refused. "If I remember right, the Martin family planned to deal with me behind my back. You were involved, right?"

When Gerald was killed, two people were caught. Randy had them interrogated, and they claimed Dermot was the mastermind. An investigation showed the Martin family bribed them. Dermot suspected Margaret was involved.

"Since breaking up with you, I have no say in the Martin family. I don't know what you're talking about," Margaret denied. Dermot only knew it was the Martin family.

Dermot shrugged. "I don't care if you were involved. It helped me in the end."

Whether Randy believed it or not, the investigation pointed to the Martin family.

Margaret laughed awkwardly. "Aren't you going to invite me up? I've never been to your place."
