Chapter 1032: Ask for Help

"I'll go with you," Joshua said, not wanting her to go alone. It was Dermot's grandfather, after all. Honestly, he didn't want Evelyn around Dermot.

But he knew he couldn't stop it now.

"No need, it's just next door. I can handle it. You should rest," Evelyn shook her head. Joshua and Henry were strangers, and bringing Joshua would be awkward.

Seeing her insist, Joshua nodded. "Alright, I'll wait for you."

Evelyn thought about telling him not to bother, but his eyes said it was pointless. She let it go and stayed silent.

She went next door, and Joshua watched her leave, feeling upset.

At Doyle Manor, Dermot arrived to find the butler waiting. "Mr. Dermot Doyle."

Dermot smirked. The Doyle family wasn't full of fools. Even the previously cold butler was different today.

The butler led Dermot inside. In the living room, Dermot saw Randy, James, and his kids Jeffery and Melissa.

They all had complex expressions.

"Coming here alone, aren't you worried you might not get out?" Randy asked, acknowledging Dermot's guts.

Dermot chuckled and sat down. "Would you really make a move against me?"

Randy shook his head. "No."

"Then what do I have to worry about?" Dermot shrugged.

If Randy wanted to harm him, he wouldn't have invited him to Doyle Manor but would have had him killed outside.

Randy sighed, impressed. No wonder his sons and grandsons couldn't compete with Dermot; he was too smart.

After a pause, Randy asked, "Do you know why I called you here today?"

"I don't know." Dermot could guess but played dumb.

"You know the Doyle family's current situation, right?" Randy asked, smiling slightly.

Dermot chuckled, sipped his tea, and said, "I've heard a bit."

Randy laughed. He knew Dermot had a hand in their troubles but also knew other families were targeting them too.

"Do you have a way to solve it?" Randy asked.

Dermot looked surprised. "Are you planning to hand over the Doyle family to me?"

"Dermot, let's be honest. You know why I called you. Isn't this what you've always wanted?" Randy said bitterly.

If he could fix the crisis, he wouldn't hand it over to an outsider. But he was out of options. The Doyle family was in its worst crisis ever. If they couldn't get through it, they were finished.

So, reluctantly, he had to turn to Dermot.
