Chapter 847 Don't Let Me See You Again
Lucia eventually opened the door. On one hand, she was genuinely afraid Wade would kick it down, and on the other hand, she knew this was Wade's home.
Even if she didn't open it, Wade could use his key.
"What do you want?" Lucia asked, her voice shaky, fear all over her face.
In a flash, Wade lifted her off the ground, her terror skyrocketing. "Wade! What are you doing? Are you crazy?"
"I really underestimated you. You actually dared to call Evelyn. How could you have the nerve to call her? Don't you feel ashamed?" Wade asked her, his eyes cold.
Lucia's emotions were a mess. She was glad Evelyn had called Wade but also a bit sad.
After all, it was because of Evelyn that Wade had such a big reaction. She thought he probably didn't want her to bother Evelyn, which was why he was so angry.
Lucia bit her lip, trying to keep her fear in check. "Didn't you tell me to call her?"
"Lucia!" Wade growled, looking like he wanted to bite her.
"Did she ask you to let me go?" Lucia asked. If Evelyn had called Wade, she must've mentioned it.
Wade didn't say anything, but his eyes were blazing with fury.
Lucia knew she was right and felt a surge of joy. "So, shouldn't you let me leave?"
"You really want to go that badly?" Wade asked, staring at her.
"Of course. Do you really expect me to stay here and serve you forever?" Lucia shot back.
In truth, she was willing to serve Wade for a lifetime. What she couldn't do was serve his future wife and kids.
She couldn't be that generous. It's better to leave than suffer like that.
They stared each other down for a long time until Wade finally let her go.
"Get out right now, and don't let me see you again," Wade said, turning back to his study without another glance.
Lucia didn't notice anything unusual. She just felt happy, though a bit jealous that Evelyn's words really carried weight.
Lucia shook her head. 'I'm leaving anyway, so who cares who he likes?' she thought.
With that, she packed her things and left quickly, afraid Wade might change his mind.
Wade didn't come downstairs to see her off. He just stood on the balcony, calling the bodyguards to let her go.
He watched Lucia pull her luggage and walk away until she was out of sight.
Wade let out a low growl and kicked the stone pillar beside him. His heart filled with anger.
Lucia said she liked him, but she left so decisively. After all, the world was full of liars.
The news of Lucia moving out spread the next day. People weren't concerned about Lucia; they were more interested in Wade. After all, he was one of the few wealthy men in Golombia.
Wade's blind dates always failed, and people speculated he had feelings for Lucia.
But with Lucia's leaving, that suspicion faded away.
Even though many women had been rejected by Wade, now even more wanted to date him.
