Chapter 893 How About Joining Us?
"You have to think of a way to handle it. If you don't find a way to get them to leave, they'll just keep getting closer. Is that the result you want to see?" Joshua knew Aidan didn't want this outcome.
Aidan sighed and agreed reluctantly. "Fine, but don't call me for this again. Handle it yourself next time."
Aidan knew that Evelyn would notice something if this kept happening. He had just managed to repair his relationship with Evelyn and didn't want to do anything to upset her again.
Joshua didn't care and hung up. As for next time, they would deal with it then. They were in this together, and Aidan couldn't just stay out of it.
At the coffee shop, Evelyn got a call from Aidan. Hearing Niall was already in Golombia, she was eager to leave. Dermot, who was about to suggest dinner, had to drop the idea.
"Sorry, I have to go," Evelyn told Dermot, feeling a bit guilty since he had helped her earlier.
Dermot felt bitter but asked, "Is Niall here?"
"Yeah, Aidan mentioned Niall was coming soon. Didn't expect to be today," Evelyn said happily. It had been a while since they all had a meal together.
Dermot forced a smile. "I'll give you a ride."
Evelyn declined. "No need. I'll grab a cab." She already felt bad and didn't want to trouble Dermot more.
But Dermot insisted. "It's hard to get a cab now. I'll take you. It won't take long."
Evelyn wanted to protest, but Dermot didn't give her a chance. He grabbed her hand and led her to his car.
Joshua watched the whole scene not far away. Seeing Evelyn about to leave improved his mood, but he didn't expect Dermot to hold Evelyn's hand, and Evelyn didn't even refuse!
Joshua felt increasingly uneasy, thinking he was falling too far behind Dermot. He had to come up with a plan quickly.
At Aidan's villa, Dermot dropped Evelyn off but didn't go in.
"Alright, go on in and have fun," Dermot said, waving.
Evelyn nodded but felt uneasy. Dermot seemed pitiful at that moment.
She hesitated and asked, "Why don't you join us?"
"Sure," Dermot agreed instantly, perking up.
Evelyn was taken aback, the remembered that Aidan was hosting. It didn't seem right to bring someone unannounced.
Sensing her hesitation, Dermot said, "Why don't you ask Aidan first? If it's just a family thing, I won't intrude."
Dermot was mainly worried Joshua might be there. He knew Aidan supported Joshua and wouldn't miss a chance to push him and Evelyn together.
Though Evelyn didn't seem interested in Joshua, Dermot wanted to be cautious. They had history, and Evelyn had once confessed to Joshua.
"Okay," Evelyn said. She called Aidan from the entrance to ask before giving Dermot an answer.
