Chapter 1354 Extra: Aidan and Phoebe (29)
Evelyn's words made Phoebe get why Aidan was acting all weird. She couldn't help but chuckle. "I get it. Chill out. I'm not throwing in the towel that easy."
Not only was she not gonna give up easy, she wasn't gonna give up at all. Back in the day, even when Aidan couldn't stand her, she never bailed. Now that she was finally making some headway, quitting would mean all her past hustle was for nothing.
After hanging up with Evelyn, Phoebe felt pumped. She headed upstairs, took a shower, and crashed on her bed. No rush. Knowing she was making progress made her feel all zen.
That night, she slept like a baby, but Aidan next door? Not so much. Thanks to Phoebe's kiss, he was dreaming again. This time, it wasn't as wild, but he dreamt about a wedding with Phoebe!
He thought, 'This is nuts! A wedding? Am I really gonna end up marrying her?'
Over at the Lowe Manor, Sienna came back and Byron Mccoy was already waiting. Seeing her return, he quickly asked, "How'd it go? Is Aidan down to come back?"
Byron's voice was soft, and he was pretty respectful towards Sienna. Even though they were married, their interactions often felt like boss and employee. From the day he decided to be the Lowe family's live-in son-in-law, this was bound to happen.
"Come back? Aidan practically told me to get lost!" Sienna was still fuming thinking about Aidan's attitude. She felt she had shown some real sincerity today, and he shouldn't have blown her off.
It wasn't her fault Aidan went MIA back then. She had been searching for Aidan all these years, not getting why he was so hostile towards her now.
Thinking about it made her even more pissed. "Get someone to dig into the Morgans family. I wanna know what they've been feeding Aidan."
She felt it was Edwin who hadn't raised Aidan right, making him so resistant to his real parents.
"Don't stress too much. Theodore's been without parents for so long; it's no wonder he's got some beef with us. It's normal for him to have a hard time accepting it right away," Byron said, feeling bummed but not mad.
Sienna shot him a look of annoyance. "Of course you're not stressing. The Lowe family's business has nothing to do with you, but how can I not be anxious? With Kurt being the way he is, can he take over the Lowe family in the future? I'm in such a rush to find Aidan so I can start grooming him to take over the Lowe family."
Kurt Lowe was her second son. Ever since Aidan went missing, she had put all her energy into grooming Kurt. But the investment didn't match the returns. Over the years, Kurt only knew how to party and had no qualities of an heir, which made her anxious.
That's why she had ramped up her efforts to find Aidan in the past two years and finally tracked him down recently. But she didn't expect him to refuse, and with such a bad attitude, leaving no room for negotiation. She was upset but seemed to have no solution.
Byron's face darkened, and he stayed quiet. In the Lowe family, he really had no say.
At this moment, neither of them noticed Kurt standing in the corner of the second floor, who had been about to come downstairs but now stood still, his face dark and menacing.
'Hand the Lowe family over to Aidan? Even after he's been away from the Lowe family for so many years, they still wanna hand it over to him? If that's the case, what was the point of my actions back then?' Thinking of this, his eyes turned vicious.
